    West Chester Hospital
    I had to got to the emergency room on Christmas Day because I woke up in misery.  The Urgent Care was closed so I went to West Chester Hospital.  I was taken in immediately and had a couple tests done right away. They had several people working on me and I saw the doctor within minutes.  I was given medication and was almost released before they had my paperwork done when I checked in.  Good hospital and would recommend again.  It was not busy that day but I have been there when it was busy,  but still the wait time was very short.

    Earlier this year I utilized Kroger Marketplace Pharmacy to fill my prescriptions. The employees were very professional and made me feel very comfortable with the whole process. The employees at Kroger Marketplace Pharmacy communicated very well with me about my prescription and I plan on using them again for all of my prescription needs.

    The people there were great. The doctor?s bedside manner was great and the office staff was very friendly as well. It is a brand new hospital and the facilities are very nice. I was very satisfied with the service provided.

    They were very competent and they handled the situation really quickly. The outcome was good and the nurses were good. The whole environment was nice. The only thing that we didn't like was that there wasn't anything open to eat. We were hungry and the cafeteria wasn't open.

    This hospital is a participating provider in my insurance company's network. Atrium's billing department was balance billing me for $1,045.16, which were expenses deemed in excess for a participating provider. According to my insurance company's explanation of benefits, the amount I owed to the hospital was $66.00. The billing department demanded that I pay $1111.16 for services in November, 2008. I received the first statement for November's services from Atrium in December. In early January, I began to receive "Robo-Calls" at 8:15 A.M. on my home phone. I spoke two times with a very pushy, unpleasant individual who insisted upon setting up a payment plan, which I refused. She also mentioned the possibility of using a collection agency. I asked her not to contact me by telephone anymore and requested having my telephone number removed from the Robo-Call service. She stated she was unable to do anything about that. I asked to be contacted by mail only. She said,"Why? You don't pay your bills anyway." When I contact the billing department by telephone, I am on hold for over 12 minutes before I can speak to anyone who works there. After a lengthy conversation with one of the clerks, I am told that my "Explanation of Benefits" from my insurance company cannot be accessed because her computer is down. She asks me to call my insurance company to have them send a fax with the E.O.B. data. When I call the billing office back, I am informed that the fax must have gone to another department because they don't have it. I send a fax to them with the identical information and am told they will call me the next day. I never hear from them again, but on 2/28/09, I am billed once again for the entire $1111.16, not the $66.00 my insurance company says that is owed to them. I call the billing department at Atrium on 3/2/09 and I finally am told that I owe $66.00. The billing department is unprofessional, discourteous, and pushy. They are obviously understaffed and need to hire people who understand the concept of customer service At no time was a simple apology offered to me for their error and aggressive tactics.I feel sorry for folks who may have a seriously ill loved one that may have to deal with this group. A simple apology would go a long with me.

    They were lousy! It took 4 doctors to realize that the blood pressure monitor was not plugged in. It did not sit very well with us.

    The quality of care was not good. The hospital didn't provide adequate supervision of my medical problem. I wouldn't recommend them.
