    Borchers, Dr. Samia W.
Dr. Borchers has been my dermatologist for about 24 years. During the course of those years I have had many different reasons to seek treatment and have always been treated with respect, efficiency, and kindness. Dr. Borchers has an ability to remember details of your life, personal as well as medical, over a period of years which makes you feel that you are regarded as a known person rather than just "Tuesday's 2:30 appointment". There has been very little change of staff during the 24 years I have been her patient, which speaks well of the cohesiveness of the group and smoothness of the office functions. A minor concern is the feeling of being a bit rushed during the appointment time, but Dr. Borchers seems more than willing to sit down and talk about your questions and concerns if you ask. I have often recommended her to family and friends over the years and will continue to do so. My greatest concern is that someday she will retire....

    Palmer, Dr. Gary D
The appointment was with Lauren Nevins, PA, in the Englewood office of Dr. Palmer. I did not see Dr. Palmer at all. I was very comfortable with Ms. Nevins. She had a urinalysis done to rule out a diabetes problem which sometimes causes a rash. She did two skin biopsies on the first visit. She had all reports from my family physician regarding the ultra sound and blood tests. As soon as the results from the biopsies came back, she called me to confirm that I have an incurable skin disease called GRANULOME ANNULARE. There is no known cause and no cure. She prescribed 2 types of creams/ointments to use on the affected area. The disease can fade away and return again. So far, I have contained it to the same area just hoping it doesn't spread to other parts of the body. I definitely will continue to see Ms. Nevins if the need arises. She is very thorough, gives me time to ask my questions, and I never feel like I am being rushed. After each appointment with Ms. Nevins, she transferred all her information back to my family physician so he would know how the treatment was progressing.

The appointment went great. They usually don't make you wait very long at all, which is a very good thing. Be prepared---he has the prettiest women working for him. I'm not sure whether he does any procedures on his staff, but they all have beautiful skin. Lucky Ladies!!

    Cortez, Dr. Barbara B.
The appt. went well. I did not have to wait very long to get in. Once I was back in the exam room one of her staff members explained my different options for getting my moles checked out. The Dr. then came in shortly after and was very knowledgable and explained to me the reasons why different moles were considered dangerous or not. She was very friendly about it and really wanted to make it a teaching/learning experience so I would be able to know what to look for in the future. The Dr. agreed that one of my moles that I was questioning about would need further examination. She let me know my options, and I chose to have it removed for further analysis. The Dr. was able to do the service right then in under 5 minutes. She was very efficient about the procedure and what I would need to do to take care of the treated area. They let me know a time frame of when I would be receiving news from them as to whether there was something more serious that needed to be treated or not. I left feeling like I really had a great learning experience for what to look out for on my body and when to come in for something questionable.

OUTSTANDING! Sherry is awesome. Very friendly and efficient staff. Office visits are $35 and will take care of routine freezing of skin tags and such. If a biopsy needs done or advanced medicines in office, then those charges are extra. But, still far cheaper than going to see a dermatologist who is a doctor. I quite going to my doctor dermatologist and strictly see Sherry now. Sherry fixed my bumps along my nose ridge line in less than a week. She gave me a shot, antibiotics and Rx lotions. Face hasn't been as clear or as smooth in many, many years. She is so very friendly and makes sure that you totally understand what she thinks the problem is and how she is going to go about fixing it. I cannot say enough good things about her and her abilities, her staff and her knowledge. Truly for basic dermatology issues I will go to no one else! If the issue requires a doctor, she will recommend a good doctor that she trusts and suggests that you go to. I would happily go where she recommends. You need to give her a try for your basic dermatology needs. My co-pay for a doctor dermatologist is $40. Sherry's office visit and a lot of treatments are only $35. A big savings and if you are paying out of pocket a true God Send!!!
