Lawn Care reviews in Findlay

I never give bad reviews but this is one for the books that I wont forget. The first time they came, they did a fine job. They came yesterday for the second time and I was very upset. They scalped many areas of the grass down to almost dirt and Im not positive the grass will come back again. They said they would edge and blow which they didnt do. There were sections of the grass that they completely missed or just didnt do. Yes there are some steep parts of the yard, but I can do it with my own push mower, why cant you? They sprayed our retaining wall with grass and didnt brush it off. There are parts of the yard where you can see they were going fast and now theres chunks of mud there because they ripped through the grass. They mowed yesterday and I had to go and re-mow sections today because it looked so bad. Im sorry, but I want someone who is going to do a good job every time and not rip up my yard like this. I am very disappointed.

Its been okay. Nothing is a big standout. I've used them for the last two years. I did a yearly program with them. When you call in, you actually get to talk with somebody. If what they did wasn't right, they come back out and make sure its right.

They did a beautiful job. They made the whole front of my house look a whole lot better. I rang them up to do it while I was going to be out-of-town. I came home and it was all changed and that was great.

My attic needed complete insulation and The group from Trugreen blew in 55 bags to bring my R rating to more than 49, from the initial inspection to the final bag being blown in they provided very professional service and knowledge of their operation

    FEASEL'S GROUNDS MAINTENANCE
Something has radically changed with these people.  When we asked them to mow our law this year, it took weeks for them to get back to us.  They then scheduled us and failed to show up.  We called and they apologized and promised to mow the next day.  And failed to show up.  Repeat 3 more times.  When the team finally did show up, they mowed over the bottom of pine trees, miss shaping them.  Given that the two guys on riding lawn mowers looked like two kids having fun on go carts the way they chased around the yard, this outcome really wasn't surprising.  When we called to complain they told us that mowing crew no longer worked for them.  They offered no compensation for the damage and still expected us to pay for the mowing.  Which we did.
We also asked them for an estimate for the spring work that needs to be done.  That took forwever.  When we decided that, in spite of the mowing problems, we'd have them do the work (mostly because of the reference from our friends in Atlanta), they said they'd work us into the schedule during the next month.  It's now more than a month and we haven't heard from them.  And it is too late in the season to do some of the work (e.g. moving trees too close to the house).  When we called to cancel today because they have yet to schedule us, they were fine with that.
All I can guess is that they have too much work to do and really don't need any new customers.  That being said, I'd look somewhere else.

After I wrote my review by before it was posted, they called us back and offered to work us into the schedule tomorrow. We declined. If we have to wait a month and then pull the work before they will schedule us, really, what's the point? We are looking for another service provider.

Specialist knocked on door before first treatment to explain what he would do. I was always notifiedat least a day before he was scheduled. he was always on time. My only complaint is they scare you to sell additional services for example: grubs will destroy your lawn in not treated. I did not and my nlawn is fine. They also offer seeding and extra fertilizer in fall, I paid for this once, did not see any benefit. I would stay with the basic service.

    FEASEL'S GROUNDS MAINTENANCE
A friend from Atlanta referred us to these folks.  They were very responsive when I called to ask for a quote.  The person they sent out was knowledgable and had good suggestions.  When we decided to go ahead with the work, they scheduled and completed the work promptly.  The yard looked great when the finished.  My only "gripe" is that when they send the bill they do not include a return envelope.  We had just moved and office supplies were still packed.  It took me a while to find an envelope to mail the payment.

    Green Acres Lawn Care
We were looking for a company to perform lawn weed and feed services for a reasonable price. We got bids from several companies and Green Acres came in as the low bidder by a fairly large margin. I guess that should have tipped us off that something was wrong. They put down the first two applications of weed and feed this season and it seemed OK, although there were more weeds than we used to have and the lawn was a little sparse, but I attributed that to the drought (even though we have a lawn irrigation system that is running). Recently we noticed dead circles in several places on the lawn and asked them to come take a look at it. They said that it was "dollar spot" and that they would treat it when they did their next service. They came out and put down fertilizer/weed killer and applied a treatment to the spots. A couple of weeks later I noticed that the spots were still "fuzzy" in the morning and it looked like there was still some sort of active issue going on. I called Green Acres and got an answering machine so I left a message saying that it looked like the disease was still there and asked if they could tell me how long it took for their treatment to take effect or if they could take a look and tell me if something else needed to be done. Rather than calling back or telling me that it would take some time, or any response at all, Green Acres sent a letter saying that I was being unreasonable and they would no longer provide us with lawn treatment. After talking to other treatment companies in the area I find out that the treatment for the disease in our lawn always takes a minimum of two treatments. Green Acres never said anything about this or frankly anything else about what the lawn really needed.

I was really impressed with them. They were a little higher priced than other placed I checked with, but he really seems to know what he is talking about. He is knowledgeable and has been very timely with his work so far. He is professional and speaks English. He took the time to show me the area that needs extra work instead of just telling me about it.

I got a quick response to my email and we made an appointment for an estimate. Greg arrived for the estimate even before I did. He is very helpful in trying to figure out what is needed and also provided information on another project I'm considering down the road. He returned a few days later, as agreed, to do the work, which was then completed to my expectations. My yard looks so much better and the plants are under control again!
