It went very well. Mr Perozeni came out to estimate the job on time as promised and gave me a quote the next day over the phone. His price was fair and reasonable for the work that he had to do. It took two full days to break out the old brick wall, pour a new foundation for the new wall, and lay the bricks for the new wall. In doing so he had to remove, and later replace the sandstone step (200+ lbs). He was careful to match the color of the bricks and mortar to the house foundation. He had to move some landscape plants slightly which were in the way, but they were put back such that the final job looked as if nothing happened. Mr Perozeni and his son that worked with him were very professional, friendly and overall a pleasure to work with. I would recommend them to anyone needing any kind of brick work and would hire them again myself if needed.

When inspected, Joe found out that there was not enough draft in the chimney for the furnace and water heater and possible CO2 was getting back into the house. Joe and Max installed a new liner in the chimney and replaced the metal ducts from the furnace and water heater and brick and mortar in the basement. They also matched and replaced bad bricks on the chimney and also replaced some bad ones on my front steps. Two new caps were also installed on the chimney. They projected they could get to do the work in a couple of weeks, but due to a cancellation, they came within a few days. The job took 2 days and they took care to clean-up when done. Very polite and professional. Would use them again.

My experience with Mirna and crew have been efficient and professional from the get-go to completion. Coming from a family run business myself, you'll see the personal touch and service from Mirna and her crew that you don't typically experience from Corporate. Mirna always made herself available and responsive to questions for a new owner like myself who's new to chimney replacement. I really appreciate her patience and especially taking photos in real-time of the work before, during and after completion. You're in good hands should you decide to move forward with their service.

Cost was very competitive. Job was done in 1 day. Space to work in was very difficult. Happy with the work at the cost. Dug down to pour footers and built new columns to match as close as possible to existing brick.

While rebuilding our porch, Ron discovered there really was a problem.  The original stone on the front of the house had been installed after the porch was built.  So if he removed the porch, the stone on the front of the house could have fallen off. Luckily Ron is a very experienced mason.  He came up with a work around, got it approved by the city and we have a front porch that will probably outlast the house.  He was able to match the original brick and did a very nice job in cleaning up.  Overall it was a great job.  We are very pleased with the outcome.

Mr. George responded immediately to my request and provided a prompt response to my question after carefully reviewing information I provided. He appears very knowledgeable and professional and I really value his opinion. Most importantly, he was reasonable. I will not hesitate to work with him in the future.

The job is perfect!  Jim took the time to make sure the work was done right and that he matched the bricks and mortar to our 90 year old home.  His employees are professional, clean and efficient!  Beautiful work and it looks like the porch and stairs should have always been this way!  We are thrilled with the curb appeal and added value to our home!

I originally called S. Bradley for tuckpointing work needed at the front of the house and chimney. I called 4 other contractors to get quotes from, and Jeff from S. Bradley was the only one to actually pull out a ladder and spend the time to inspect the existing chimney and other mortar that needed pointing. What he actually discovered is the mortar at the chimney was completely gone and bricks were hardly hanging on. I trusted his judgement when he recommended rebuilding the upper part of the chimney that sticks out of my roof, opposed to just masking the problem with new pointing. I kept talking with Jeff about how to prevent and protect from future water damage to the joints. So we discovered the problem spots and decided to adjust a few gutters, correct the slopes, and provide flashing guards at corners and trouble spots. The more I spoke with Jeff, the more work i realized they could do for me, and i decided to also have them replace my garage roof and install a bathroom fan at the second floor.
Based on how thorough Jeff was on the inspection and the time he spent with me on just getting a quote, i felt they would do a great job if selected.
The work they performed was great and done on time. The new roof on the garage looks good, they provided a shingle with a great warranty, replaced damaged sheathing, and installed new flashing and drip edge that match the house. The new bathroom exhaust fan was installed with minimal cuts in the plaster ceiling and roof. The new built part of the chimney also came out good as new.
The only problem I had was with some of initial tuckpointing work. The mortar color they used was more grey than the existing tan color, they didn't repoint as many joints as originally discussed, and the joints they did do were not cleanly done. But, I let Jeff know and within 5 days they were back out there and re-did all the previous joints and also all the additional areas needed. The second time I think the actually owner of the mortar restoration company came out to do the work and he did a perfect job. All the joints matched the existing in color and profile, which is difficult to do with 60 year old joints. I could not have been happier with the job they did the second time out.
Overall, I am very happy with all the work they completed and would not hesitate to use them again. As an architect, i deal with contractors on a daily basis and have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly of construction projects. I would definitely put S. Bradely in my top list of contractor companies i have worked with and highly recommend using them.

I was extremely happy with Ron and the work he did for me.  The entire process took a little over a week and included demolishing the porch, pouring footers and rebuilding the brick and sandstone porch.  He was able to match the brick and mortar so closely to the brick foundation on my house that the porch looks original to the house.  He was meticulous about cleaning up every night, put caution tape around the area, stacked supplies neatly in the driveway and even talked to my mail carrier and arranged a temporary "mailbox".
I believe Ron is one of those people who takes great pride in his work and believes quality is of the utmost importance.  His employee, Gabe, who worked with him on my porch, told me that he loves his job and that they do quality work that will stand the test of time.  The fact that his employee is so happy says a lot about Ron.
Ron was also very responsive anytime I left him a voicemail before and during the process.  He always returned the calls promptly.
He is a true professional and I would highly recommend his work.

Angies List you have a winner in Ron George. I called R G Masonry and left a message that I needed an estimate on having the bricks on my front porch repointed. Ron called back the same day and we made an appointment for Tuesday 8/12/14 between
6 and 8 PM. Ron arrived at 6:15. He then began to show us that repointing was not the solution. He pointed out all issues with the porch...it was last repointed with very hard mortar and it caused moisture to be trapped against the softer older mortar  causing the breakdown. He also showed us how the porch was setteling causing the crack in the porch pad and the front of the porch to bow out. He gave us several different options that could be done but not by him. He said we needed a company with a crew to be able to fix the issues correctly. He could have given us an estimate, done a great job on the repointing and gone on his merry way but did not and I believe he could not because that is the type of person and business man he is. He is a credit to his trade and a
fine example of what an honest and sincere man should be. Thanks Ron !
