Glass Block Installation reviews in Fairview Park

It went very well. It was a difficult installation because the previous owner had tarred the windows shut. Dave did a good job and got the work done in a timely manner. There was a hole that he patched and didn't charge extra. We ordered the windows on a Thursday and they were installed the next Tuesday. I would use them again and recommend their service.

Buy 1 get 1 free, buy 2 get 3 free sounds great ask how much one window costs. You can not get an answer from anyone except window universe. They will give you a quote in there office without an in home visit. They do require a visit to double check measurements and look for special circumstances. None found here. Andy was a no pressure rep, the price is the price, and as far we could find the best around comparing apples to apples. Installers were on time (early) courtois, and answered all our questions as they worked. Great clean-up and quality. You can't go wrong using Window Universe.

I would avoid this company in the future. Now that I read their Angie's List "About" section it seems like they are trying to over compensate for a lack of customer service. My contractor recommended this company and said I should be able to save a little money with GBHQ over the big name window outfits. While the estimate was less, $90 to be exact, the poor quality windows and treatment by a company representative identifying himself as Eli make me wish I had gone elsewhere. The windows were installed on 10/9/17 and I made notes on the invoice, expecting a company representative to contact me upon reading my dissatisfaction with both the substandard build of the windows and the 4% customary overcharge for choosing to paying with a credit card (sorry, I don't know anyone that charges a credit card fee anymore, but GBHQ tries to play it off as a good thing because they aren't hiding it". No, instead you're slapping me in the face with a junk fee). When my credit card was charged on 10/12/17, without hearing from a GBHQ about my issues I took the initiative and called. I was told that someone would call me back in a few minutes, Four hours later I received a call from Eli. I told him I was referred by my contractor, that the salesman was thorough and that I was happy with the installer but that the windows seemed shoddy. The silicone used to assemble the windows was still wet on the insides and all the joints were sloppy, with globs of silicone everywhere, instead of clean joints. Eli seemed to take it personal from the start suggesting that maybe I should come in and show them how to lay a clean bead of silicone. I said I'd be happy to, but first Id like to get the windows I paid for. He said it was impossible to get the windows 100% perfect (which is actually the same thing the installer said as I recall). From there the conversation, I use the term conversation loosely because it was one-sided as Eli continually cut me off. It quickly deteriorated to a shouting match as I tried to get a word in here and there, but he continued to speak over me, was sarcastic, inferred that I was senile and ultimately used a derogatory term for a gay man. When I suggested maybe I should speak to someone else at GBHQ he said that I would not be speaking to the owners, that they had full confidence in him. So, at the moment GBHQ is scheduled to come out next week to "repair" my new windows. I will try to keep an open-mind but I will not tolerate a repair that does not make them the windows I was promised. NOTE: While silicone sounds like a better material than the mortar typically used to adhere the glass blocks it does not create the joints between the blocks you typically see thus making the window diameter smaller. The result is a larger gap around the perimeter of the window that requires a heavy bed of mortar to fill it. While I personally like the look of the windows, when silicone is properly applied, I am not a fan of the 1-1/2 gap round the entire perimeter of the window, especially if youre not going to match the mortar to the mortar to my brick houses mortar joints. I only mention this because the salesman did not prepare me for this fact, forcing me to get an explanation from the installer.

Everything about our experience with Glass Block Headquarters was a pleasure. They were very professional, prompt and helpful with information. Did a really fine job in very difficult installation conditions and cleaned up afterward. When we realized that the vent in one window had been omitted, they were very prompt about sending someone to install one. Everyone, office personnel and installers, was very pleasant to deal with.

Fabulous. While setting up the appointment I was asked to text a picture of the window so I did. By seeing the picture Bruce was able to match the old block exactly. He arrived at the scheduled time and worked quickly and efficiently. The whole job took about an hour. We will definitely use Affordable Glass Block again if the need arises.

We were amazed at how smoothly the entire process went. We were called with a reminder the day before the installation. We did remove pictures from the wall that were near the windows upon recommendation from our initial contact. The installer worked quietly. Everything was cleaned up, debris removed and the washing machine/dryer put back in place. The windows look great, don't know why we waited so long. I would highly recommend Glass Block Headquarters.

This company is extremely honest! After calling and setting up an appointment, they called me back to let me know that I would be able to get a lower cost elsewhere because they use another contractor for their glass block work, which I had already called to get an estimate from. Nice to not waste my time!

Cleveland Glass Block did a professional, thorough, and timely job in replacing our assembled glass block window, the most economical option. The installer was punctual, professional, clean, and efficient. Out unit was installed within the estimated time. Our cost was lower as a returning customer than for a new installation. The window has been in place for at least three weeks and its integrity remains. This is my third experience with Cleveland Glass Block and I have found them to be my first choice for glass block. Beside this repair and original installation, they installed basement glass block windows in my mother's house several years ago.

Excellent service. They came out to measure exactly on time, on the day scheduled. Installer was fantastic, worked diligently and quickly, and cleaned up all the mess including taking the old windows away. This was a fantastic experience and was the second time I have used them. I always recommend them.

THE ESTIMATOR SHOWED UP PROMPTLY FOR OUR APPOINTMENT AND WAS VERY HELPFUL IN EXPLAINING THE HISTORY OF THEIR COMPANY AND HOW THE WINDOWS WOULD BE INSTALLED. HE OBVIOUSLY HAD ALOT OF PRIDE IN THE COMPANY. I CONTRACTED TO HAVE THE WORK PERFORMED. THE INSTALLER SHOWED UP ON TIME AND FINISHED THE JOB SOONER THAN I EXPECTED. HE DID A VERY GOOD JOB OF CLEANING UP AND TOOK ALL OF THE OLD WINDOWS WITH HIM FOR DISPOSAL. I'M VERY HAPPY WITH THE WINDOWS AND THE SECURITY THEY PROVIDE.
