Garage Door Repair And Installation reviews in Fairview Park

Great service - would not hesitate to call again. Our garage door would not close all the way. Bob came out the same day to evaluate the problem and was able to repair it quickly. I've added B & B to my contacts to make sure that I use them in the future for garage door repairs.

Well. Technician did full inspection and replaced rollers. Was told springs needed to be replaced and given a quote. Quote to replace door springs kind of high compared to other pricing I checked out in the area. Have not replaced the springs yet.

The initial installation by Jeff went well. He was very professional and efficient. He removed the old door and disposed of it as agreed. At the end of the installation, as he was about to install the weather striping, Jeff noticed that the windows in the upper panel were too high and would be too close to the weather striping. There was a three inch error in the total height of the door. If there were no windows in the upper panel it would have no effect. Thanks to Jeffs attention to detail he caught the error. A new intermediate panel was ordered. and arrived in three weeks.
Thanks to the efficient scheduling by Yvonne, the rework was immediately planned within days of the panels arrival at the company. Jeff returned with the correct panel and completed the installation. He had some trouble getting the door to work smoothly but he persisted and did a great job. I did not expect that the three inch diffence would be a problem. Again, thanks to Jeffs attention to detail, the door works smoothly and I am very pleased with Genie of Fairview Door Co, and its personel

Mr. Lada was eager to make a service call. He came on a Sunday and left without making contact.  I called again and he said
he didn't recognize it -right address but the door was freshly painted.  So he did return and adjusted the door to make it level
lubed the tracks and rollers. The garage floor is uneven but his initial adjustment did narrow the gap. This only lasted a week.
I called him again a month later asking him to readjust the door. Mr. Lada reluctantly agreed to return to fix it.  After 3 more calls
he admitted he said this was not  his responsibility and that I needed a new door.  Other than the gap the door works fine. I think   his only plan was to sell a new door. There are other choices. Example a rubber strip attached to the bottom of the door.  or a metal strip secured to the garage floor.  Repair work on on the door in 9/2014 had the door level.  In May the gap did enlarge.  I would not recommend Mr. Lada.

Very prompt and courteous.  Originally quoted $608.00 for the work then was charges $673.00.  Was told when we called we would get Angies discount and mentioned when service showed up but after reviewing bill - no discount.  I think if you do not need service right away you can get a much better deal calling a few others for quotes first.
1-24-15 Supplier did refund the amount of the Angies list discount today.

The repair took only about 20 minutes and they replaced the broken springs with slightly larger ones. They were very clear about the length of warranty and didn't try to sell repairs to me that I did not need. The work looks professional and the price was great too.

She had just had a csection and couldnt lift the garage doors , he replaced the entire unit with a new one and there was a snow storm on top of it. Bob came the next day and was so efficient and she was able to get to the dr with the baby. He programmed their new openers and programmed all with their cars. Then our cables broke in our garage during the next freeze. I sent an email Thursday nite and Friday he called first thing in the am and fit us into his schedule. He is extremely prompt, professional, does quality work and I would highly recommend him to everyone! Your search is over, Bob is the real deal and we were so fortunate to find him.

Bob Thomas was able to respond to our request for an estimate later on the same day we called. We talked over options, features, pros and cons of different doors, and he left product information and an estimate for us to consider. We called him the next day with a few more questions, then decided to hire him for the job and he set an appointment for one week later. Mr. Thomas arrived when scheduled, helped move a few things out of the garage and got to work. When he was finished, he grabbed a broom and swept up, then returned everything to the garage for us. He demonstrated the door and its lock operation, and made sure we were satisfied with the door and his installation work. From start to finish, dealing with Bob Thomas/Affordable Doors was a pleasant experience.

Tim came out and the first thing he said was that the cable on the right side was ok - just off the wheel.  The bigger problem (that I did not even notice) was that the spring on the left side was snapped / broken.  He pointed out that when the spring broke, the garage door torqued and the right cable fell off.  He had a new spring in his truck, installed the spring, reattached the right cable, adjusted the spring a few times, checked the alignment, worked the door up and down, checked the safety light to make sure it was responding correctly and added a few missing bolts on a few brackets.  For $100!
THIS IS THE GO TO GARAGE DOOR GUY.  I have used him before and will in the future. I am a REALTOR and keep great contractors on my list.  Thanks Tim.
