Drywall Repair reviews in Fairview Park

John and his team completed a full remodel of the bathroom on the second floor of my colonial style house. This included new removal of old tiles, insulation and original plaster. Once demolition was completed they installed new drywall, updated plumbing and electrical, subway tile throughout the bathroom, paint and bathroom accessories. The decision was made to keep the original bathtub, John and the team were able to protect it during the renovation and no damage or repair was needed as they completed the project. This is the only full bathroom in the house, Desborough Construction was able to get the bathroom completed on schedule and had the bathtub area usable after a week and a half. John was on site everyday and very responsive to questions during the process. I would recommend Desborough Construction for remodeling needs. There were no overages in the cost with the exception of the frameless shower door which was not discussed in the initial estimate.

Great! Neal was very professional, got right to work and finished within schedule. Clean-up was thorough and much appreciated. He matched the existing ceiling with texture paint which worked out well.

Guys did an excellent job at a very budget friendly cost. Repaired drywall in both rooms including a closet. Added a piece of missing trim. Painted walls/ceilings in both rooms and trim in master bedroom.

Jeff Desatnik did an amazing job repairing a wall in my kitchen.  I'm selling my home and needed the work done quickly.  I contacted Jeff on Monday and he did the work that week on Wednesday, in time for my Open House.  He was prompt, courteous and professional.  His work is impeccable!  I will definitely use Jeff in the future and recommend him to anyone who needs drywall, plaster repair, painting, etc.

Jeff performed his job with professionalism, and we were very satisfied with the quality of his work. He came back when we asked him for touching again a few areas and to paint in another color a section of the ceiling. He also patched a wall where we had the old alarm system and matched the color to bland with the old paint.
We also hire Jeff to paint the walls and the trim in our 2nd floor remodeled bathroom and we intend to continue working with him in other projects.

It truly pains me to have to write this about my experience with American Plaster & Drywall. They had done some work here years ago and it was such a good job and pleasant experience I didn?t even bother to get quotes from anyone else when I needed these services again. Over the years, I?ve recommended the company to friends and family. Unfortunately, this experience has been anything but pleasant.
When the wallpaper remover walked in on a Monday morning, he reeked of cigarette smoke and alcohol. In removing the wallpaper, he used no dropcloths and, without asking, used my bathtub as a utility tub. I had to scrape a pile of wallpaper scraps and grit out of the tub, and scour it out before I could use it.
He left shredded wallpaper curling off the wall behind a radiator, and a pile of scraps under it. In that same corner, the carpet was soaked and had been pulled out from under the baseboard and off the tack strip. There are water stains on the woodwork and carpet in that corner. The paint was chipped off the woodwork there and in several other places.
He removed an empty drawer I had left in one of the dressers, and pulled the veneer loose on one side. The cover plates were left on two sockets, with wallpaper behind them. The same was true for the mounting plate for a wall lamp. When the lamp was removed it was laid on the floor and the bulb was broken.
The plaster portion (different employee) of the project was definitely an improvement, but not up to the standard I had expected given my previous experiences with the company.
There was plaster dust everywhere, and splashes on furniture and doors. In several spots the tape shows through, and additional plaster repair and sanding were needed before we could paint. There were holes left in the bedroom walls that had to be patched, and a window sill that had been pushed up and plastered in with a half inch of space between the bottom of the sill and the wall below. It seemed obvious the plasterer was pulled off the job earlier than expected and didn?t have the time to finish cleaning up. He left a sanding block, knowing there would be additional sanding needed.
I wrote to the owner with all the above details, and the closest thing I got to an apology was "I am sorry that things did not go as you had hoped", followed by the reasons why he couldn't do the plastering himself (which had nothing to do with why I was displeased) and assurances that everyone is always pleased with the work of his painter (the guy who removed the wallpaper). After several more unsatisfactory email exchanges, he finally reduced the original $1190 quote by $250.
I had been looking forward to writing a glowing review on Angie?s List, but cannot do that in all good conscience. It truly makes me very sad that this is the case.

I did use The House Doctors and that one turned out excellent. They were neat, clean and efficient, I have no problems whatsoever. They even suggested areas that needed to be repaired and fixed those also.

North Point did a fantastic job! They were very friendly. The job took approximately 2-3 weeks, they were always on time and did exactly what they said they were going to do. They cleaned up after themselves everyday and did not leave a piece of dirt. Kirk the owner was on site almost everyday. I rate his craftsmanship and quality of work A++ superior . We will be using them again for future remodel work. The price was well worth the quality of North Point

Rick came out at the agreed upon time to meet with me and look at the job. Within a few days, he provided me with a quote that fell somewhere in the middle of the quotes that I received from other contractors. I chose Rick because of reports on this website and because he was very knowledgeable, personable, and professional. I also saw him as a very trustworthy individual. All in all, the job went seamlessly, in the agreed upon timeframe, and the finished product was excellent. He took great care to keep the mess to a minimum, and when he left, you would never have known he was there. Rick takes pride in his craftsmanship and I would highly recommend him for anyone's repair and renovation needs.
