    Called the company's number and a technician walked me through the troubleshooting process. Discovered that there was a water sensor in the pan beneath the unit and water was discovered in the pan. Removed the sensor and dried out using a hair dryer. Then removed water from the pan and reinstalled the sensor. Air conditioner immediately start back up. No emergency service call needed. Technician came out the following Monday to check on the unit and suspected that the water trap may have been dirty along with the air filter, both of which I cleaned and replaced over the weekend. No charge for the service call.

    I schedule regular preventive maintenance to be oerformed during the spring and foll with Hill-Air. Hill-Air sends reminders of the appointment and arrive on time as scheduled. The technicians take care to protect their shoes so not to track ebris into my home, perform their tasks and review those and ask if I have any questions before going to their next appointmtent.     OMG, we were in a pinch and it was cold outside. We had trouble getting other technicians out to troubleshoot and give us estimates because of their cancellations.     I came home to a very cold house from a quick vacation in warmer climates. I was immediately concerned as in only a couple days temps where to drop below 0. I have a friend who does HVAC diagnosed one issue that we were able to resolve, until another issue crept in with a control board failure on my 20 year old unit. With very limited time to play with before the cold temps arrived I reached out to Air Authority on Thursday and they came same day as an after hours call. There was a slight increase of cost here, but this entire service fee would be 'credited' to any repair performed. As diagnosed previously it was indeed a control board issue however the cost of the control board and the potential that other issues may arise soon after an already costly fix it was recommended to not put the money in the fix, but to instead replace. I conferred with a couple folks and decided that it may very well be the right time to bite the bullet here. Being it was already Thursday however I was concerned about getting everything installed before the weekend brought in the 0 degree weather. The initial statement from the service technician was it was likely that they may not be able to install until Monday. Shortly after the technician left I received couple of calls stating that if I was interested someone could come by first thing Friday morning quote based on my options, and then they would rearrange some scheduling to fit me in knowing that I was really concerned about the coming cold. I took them up on this offer, 7:30 AM someone was here quoting me, and I accepted what I felt was a reasonable price. Was it a GREAT price, probably not, but I do believe it was quite fair especially considering the circumstances. As promised the service fee was knocked off the quoted price and I had folks show up at around 10AM ready to start installing. Installation when smoothly for me, as I just sat back and waited, they had some issues with the cabling from the system to the thermostat which held them up a bit longer than they anticipated I believe but they resolved the issues and moved on, and I had heat a bit before 3PM. The installers cleaned up the area they were working in very well, where very pleasant and provided a crash course on the new thermostat, and quick overview of the furnace itself and new filter box which was also installed. I'm writing this review after the cold weekend, and couldn't be happier with the service and a functioning heater.
