    Logan A/C & Heat Services
    I've been a Logan customer since the A/C and heating system was installed in 2008. The technician couldn't provide a definitive diagnosis but said it "could be" the main circuit board that controls the system. Replacing this would cost about $1,300 (plus the ~$126 service call for this visit). Despite this system being barely over 10 years old, the tech started telling me how it's "time to start thinking about replacement" and pressured me to consider a new furnace to the tune of $4,000. I then called in a competitor, Deer Heating & Cooling, for a service call. Even though I was a new customer, they worked me in the same day - and their non-discounted service call rate is cheaper than Logan. The Deer technician diagnosed the main circuit board and also found a valve intermittently failing. The good news was Deer charged LESS THAN HALF the price of what Logan wanted for the exact same components (plus the additional valve)!! Deer stated that I should be able to get at least 15 years, and likely closer to 20 years, before I should be thinking about a replacement furnace. I was really disappointed in this experience with Logan Services and it showed me their true colors - pushing to sell you a new unit as soon as any post-warranty problems start to show up.

He came on the day and time scheduled with us and figured out what was wrong within 30 minutes. He then ordered the part and returned on the day and time scheduled. Very Professional.

    Price quoted and service provided went above and beyond minimum required for basic install. I am an Adams customer from this point forward. Price for High Efficiency Rheem gas furnace was lower with no discounts that another HVAC quoted price for a low efficiency unit without all the work to identify and correct air flow issue. He'll do you right!

    CJS delivered a high-quality fall furnace inspection/tune-up on 18 November 2016. Richard, the HVAC service rep was very professional and friendly. He was very experienced, which immediately showed, as he accomplished various electrical, burner, and safety checks on the furnace. He explained what he was doing and why, and even cordially entertained my questions. Richard's a real pro and I'm confident my furnace is ready for winter thanks to his attention.

    They were really good. They are reliable, trustworthy, never had a problem. They call you right away, follow up with you and make sure you are happy with the work that was done. They are a quality company, I never a had an issue with them. I had them replace the thermostat and rewired it. They were always good about getting out here and getting it fixed right away.

    South Home Air
    South Home Air must have found out about the complaint filed to the BBB because a representative/owner called me around 9:30am. He was very upset, but explained to me that he did not appreciate me filing a complaint against his business, that it was not his fault, that I should file a complaint against my home warranty company (I have no reason to file a complaint against them). He also stated that he had custody of my air compressor and was not going to install it until I withdrew the complaint that I filed with the BBB because it was going to hurt his business. I called the BBB to have the complaint withdrawn. I called South Home Air back to notify them that I withdrew the complaint, that they would receive the fax from the BBB confirming that the complaint was withdrawn and marked as resolved. I proceeded to tell the CSR that the letter would be faxed to him soon and that I would like to make an appointment for Monday or Tuesday of next week. I wanted to secure an appointment time with him because I know at this time of year, it was very hot and I am sure others are having trouble with their A/C units. I was told that he was not going to schedule an appointment with me until he not also received confirmation, but he also wanted me to send a letter to him stating that I made the complaint in error and that I should apologize. (I have nothing to apologize for because I didn���t mess up the order) I called South Home Air this morning to schedule an appointment with them because the BBB website is showing that the case has been resolved. The owner told me that until the complaint has been removed from the website, that my compressor will not be installed. I explained to him that the Representative from the BBB told me that because they are an accredited business, that the complaint will not be removed. The owner raises his voice at me and tells me that he is not going to do anything and all of this was my fault! I told him that if he didn���t want to schedule an appointment with me to have the compressor installed, then I was going to call the BBB to tell them to reopen my complaint. The owner then tells me that I will never get my compressor and that he never wants to talk to me again. This is a very unprofessional business and even though the company was selected through my home warranty company, I would not recommend them to anyone. Since the compressor was ordered, my home warranty company attempted to recover the air compressor and give it to another contractor to install. South Home Air���s owner/manager wouldn���t give them the compressor and threatened to sue them (over what, I am not sure). My home warranty company chose not to deal with them as well, so I have had to start his whole process over again. What I believe happened is that they did not place the order for the compressor right away and waited, then they put the order in wrong. If South Home Air would have been cooperative, then I would not have filed a complaint. The irrational behavior and unprofessionalism on their behalf has made this situation worse. I am happy that they did not perform the work and I wish I could get the $60 back from my home warranty company.
