    John came out on Saturday 6/29 and diagnosed the problem quickly. It turned out that the eye sensor wires were not making contact and he was able to reset the electric wire connectors. It has worked fine since then. He also provided additional assessment of the garage door opener and said everything else look pretty good.

    They came out during the polar vortex to diagnose the problem with our garage door opener. They determined it needed replacing (27 years old) and replacement parts were no longer available. Gave use a price for replacing the existing unit with a new one and we then arranged for installing the replacement unit. They then returned two days later and installed the new opener. This all took place in a timely and professional manner and we were very pleased with the results. We highly recommend this company.

    I contacted Homenik to replace a cable drum on my overhead garage door unit, and inspect the overall quality of the install; I suspected the problem was symptomatic of a deeper issue. On the first visit, the technician remarked that the spring assembly was of very poor quality, and he would not operate upon it in any way. I did not think this was unreasonable, considering his explanation. He recommended a replacement and so I had to set up a follow-on appointment for the following week. I was careful to state that it would have to be an afternoon appointment (just like the current one I'd scheduled). The following week, the technician called me in the morning and said he was at my place. I told him I was at work and reiterated it would have to happen in the afternoon. Five (!) phone calls from both him and the office later, I finally picked up, irritated at the interruptions to my workday. The receptionist stated that she "couldn't have her tech waiting hours for me." So, I told her to have him conduct other jobs in the meantime and that we had agreed to the afternoon anyway. Apparently, this wasn't an option, so I cancelled. A frustrating experience. I ended up going with a competitor and it turned out to be the right call. I was able to make an appointment for the following Saturday, and dealt with a very organized and thorough staff to get the job done.

    I contacted Precision Overhead Garage Door after striking out with a competitor. My garage door was installed by an amateur, so it was recommended that the spring assembly, cable drums, and rollers be replaced. I was able to make an appointment very quickly for a weekend, which was nice. The work was done quickly and professionally, and the technician ("Z") answered all of my questions and then some. I actually learned a lot from him! The experience was wonderful overall. The price was a bit high, but I was okay with it as you get what you pay for.

    I was given the name of the technician and his background experience before he even arrived to do the estimate. He took photos, and explain how and why the opener failed. I also asked why my garage doors WERE NOT SEALING AT THE TOP AFTER THEY CLOSED. He explained, that the previous owner install doors that were too high for the opening. He also pointed out missing bearings and possible future failure of the garage door springs. I decided to just get (2) new garage doors and openers. The installation went extremely well; though I was told it may take 6 hours, the technician arrived promptly at 9 AM and was finished with assistance from a second technician who arrived a few hours into the installation, and they completed by 1 PM. Both technicians were professional, friendly and efficient. All this in the midst of my watching, taking photos and sometimes asking questions. I am extremely satisfied with the work and finished products.

    The unit was 2 years old and in-warranty. Had the new part in hand and needed the part replaced knowing full well that I had to pay the service fee. After being placed on hold twice, the came back on the call and declined service due to liability concerns. I guess if you are installing a new opener, new garage door, or replacing a spring, they are comfortable. Don't understand why replacing a motor is so troubling. Went somewhere else.

    Technician was rude and didn't even know the address of the company. We needed an authorization number from our home warranty company. Tech refused to answer her questions, got frustrated, packed his equipment and left. Upon a call to the office, the office staff also had a very nasty attitude. Based on this one interaction, I would not recommend this company to anyone.
