    If I Had a Hammer
Due to a water leak, I hired Greg to repair the molded wall, repair the leak, and install new kitchen counters and cabinets. Greg was very friendly and easy to work with in the beginning and was very responsive with questions we had. Once the work began, the problems started. The project timelines were poorly managed by Greg, which led to long delays and the job not completed for over four months. Greg and his team were very sloppy, would leave messes behind, and the quality of their work of that of a novice, not a professional. As I would identify areas of concern, I would relay them to Greg and he would promptly reply I will take care of it. As the list grew longer and the issues were not being resolved, I kept a list posted in the kitchen as a reminder. Many of the issues were resolved after continuous reminders. Many issues still remain. Greg repeatedly said that he was a man of his word, but he left my kitchen with so many errors, that I lost faith and gave up. The list of issues that I still have are as follows: 1) Crown molding not aligned, straight (bad cuts, hidden with putty and cardboard to hide flaws) asked to repair (ignored) 2) Damage and screw holes to inside of cabinets (brought to Gregs attention, his response was I wouldnt notice once I put stuff in the cabinets) not repaired 3) Baseboard repair was not completed and was thrown together without consultation. Brought to his attention and it was ignored. 4) Backsplash had to be repaired multiple times due to poor install. Had to fill in many missing grout lines myself after 3 visits and incomplete work. Very poor tile work! 5) Side panel installation was done poorly and many gaps are showing because the work was not done correctly. An attempt to hide these flaws with like color caulking. Looks bad 6) Pipes under sink began leaking within a month 7) Paid to have a telephone jack removed and capped off. Later discovered that the phone lines were capped with blue painters tape (fire hazard) and caused the phone system in the house to go down. Had to open the wall up to repair. Did not complete drywall work, but left 80% complete and advised me to finish sanding. 8) The above issues are still unresolved, but at this point, I would prefer to pay someone else to do better quality work than hear Greg and his crew complain about the Project that just wont end

    Plumbing Installers
I had a leak somewhere in my upstairs bathrooms or pipes that over time caused a hole in my living room ceiling and water was dripping from the hole.  Plumbing Installers came out, inspected the pipes, and immediately determined that one of the upstairs toilets was leaking.  They tried to fix the leaky toilet but found that it had a crack in it and had to be replaced.  The new toilet works fine, in fact I hadn't been using that toilet for years because it never flushed properly - the new one does and it's almost like I have a new bathroom to use!  While they were here I asked them to fix a leak in a bathroom faucet and adjust two other toilets that would keep running after flushing.
The plumbers arrived on time and were very professional.  They kept me updated on what they were doing and any problems encountered.  They disposed of the old toilet and any other trash from their job.  They left the work areas clean.
I would definitely use them again for any plumbing work.  I am also going to have them out to repair the hole in my ceiling.

FRANKLYN WOODWORKS & HOME REPAIR LLC
He did a great job. Even when I messed up and got the wrong size door, he and his crew worked with me to find the best possible solution. Excellent service. He is pricey, but well worth the cost. I will definitely call him when I remodel my kitchen.

    Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup
Plumber and his trainee arrived on time.  They put down a tarp on the floor in front of the sink to catch any dirt and debris.  Everything went smoothly.  They made sure I was satisfied with everything before they were done.  They have a one year warranty on labor.  They even offered to put the old faucet and connections in my trash can in the garage.

    TUB MASTERS
The sales staff were excellent. After that it has been a horror story.

The installation crew had trouble and had to call in the "specialist" repair man. He too had problems installing the doors.
The walls in this house are not exactly square - about 1/4 inch or less on a 40 year old home. This is not bad. Most homes do not have perfectly squared walls. I had to show the "professional" how to use shims.

Immediately after they left, the doors in the back bath fell off. Upon calling back, the owner blamed me and chewed me out for daring to complain. Admittedly, I was upset after spending so much money for such shoddy service. Thinking he would dump me, not fix the doors, I shut up to soothe his ego.
The design of the doors are such that they will probably fall off sooner or later.

They did return several times and tried to fix the doors. Most of the time I put them back myself. These are heavy doors and I cannot do this alone. As far as the doors go I will probably have to buy some from Lowes and hire someone to install them.

Now, the calk they use is supposed to be "special" and not turn color. They have been back numerous times to replace the calk, which continues to have brown spots on it - mold I think. The entire caulking in one bath has been replaced at least once.

Meanwhile, almost three years later, the doors continue to fall off. I honestly do not think they will do much to fix this problem.

    UPDATE:

Since I submitted this report, the owner has come to my house and reviewed the problem. They are going to install new doors of a different type to alleviate this problem. He was professional, apologetic and willing to do what is necessary to see that I am a happy customer. I believe the company does have good intentions, and will make good on this issue. If noting else, the owner is customer oriented and willing to work with me to the extreme.
I very much appreciate that aspect of Tub Masters.
