    Simon called ahead and told me he would be arriving at 2 p.m. At 1:59 p.m., he pulled into my driveway. The door that i called about wasn't broken, it just needed some maintenance work and oil, and a readjustment of the tracking. When he was finished, he asked about the other door, and offered to look at it since "he was here anyway..." Long story short... the $500 repair I was quoted was much less severe. Simon patiently examined the unit, made some adjustments, and rewired some cables in the motor, after which the door worked like a charm. Can't say enough about how pleased I was with the quality of the work and the quality of the technician. I would HIGHLY reccomend them.

    This is my third time using Garage Door Sales and my second technician. Each experience has been very positive. There are two reasons I especially like this company. First, they value my time. They set a window of time when they will arrive, and if they are delayed, they give me a discount. Second, they are available whenever my garage door breaks, which usually seems to be on the weekend. Because they come out on the weekend, I don't have to take off work to get my repairs completed. I appreciate that convenience.

    Keith was personable and professional. He had my new spring installed within 15 or 20  minutes, yet didn't seem rushed when we interacted. I felt safe while he was working, which is important to me as a middle-aged widow. I have had dealings with this company twice before in the last three months, as I have aging garage doors, and my experience has always been excellent. If the worker was delayed in coming beyond the promised time, I have been given a discount, which shows consideration for my time. One advantage to hiring this company is that a worker comes out the same day I call. Another is that I don't have to take off work, because a worker will even come on the weekend, which seems to be when things most often break.  I am thoroughly satisfied with Garage Door Sales.

    When I called earlier this week I was told a service person could come to my house between 11am to 1pm Friday July 24th.   About 12:50pm on Friday the 24th I called the company and ask for an ETA on the service person arriving at my house.  At that point I was told they were running behind schedule and now my new time was 2pm to 4pm.  They also verified my cell phone number so they could call to let me know when they were coming.  Well I never received a call and no one showed up.  I will be contacting a different provider.

    Bruce was very friendly and courteous.  They came on time, got the job done quickly and efficiently.  We asked if he could do a few extras, which he did (mentioned above).  His prices were very reasonable---including the "ad-ons" .  We have asked him to come back to do other doors for us--that is how happy we were with him.   We definitely would recommend him without any reservation!  Very friendly, very professional, very clean.

    Apparently things have changed at Precision Door Service.  On Sunday my garage door opener broke and would not move my door anymore.  After looking on Angie���s list I found Precision and they talked about same day service so I called.  I explained my problem but they did not offer to come out the same day which wasn���t a big deal because my door did open manually and I figured maybe that same day thing was reserved for emergencies, so we set up an appointment for the next day, which I was fine with.  I told them I would be home about 4:30 or 5:00 and was told someone would call before they come out.  At about 5:15 or so no one had called so I called back.  Something was wrong with their phones because it kept picking up but no one was on the other end.  After about three tries someone from Precision called me and asked if I have been calling.   I explained that an appointment had been set up but no firm time and was wondering when they might be out.  I was told they were just about to call me (aren���t companies always about to call you) and asked if they could reschedule because the tech that was supposed to come out was out of openers.  I found this to be a bit strange since I am not sure what not having an opener has to do with not coming out to take a look at one that you might be able to fix.   I agreed to a new date but because of my schedule it had to be a couple of days longer.  Needless to say when I got off the phone I was not impressed.  I figured one of three things was going on.  1.  They already knew my opener could not be fixed which if that is the case then just say something.  2. They had no real intention of trying to fix it and didn���t want to come out without one to sell me.  3.  They did not want to have to make two trips to my house in case they couldn���t fix it which I understand but doesn���t really help me does it?  I figured odds were they were going to have to replace it so why don���t I just go buy one and do it myself and save me the $75 trip to have them try and sell me one.  I might have to wait a couple of more days to install it myself but I save a few bucks, their loss.  I just wasn���t impressed with what looked like a place that had great customer service so I can only assume things have changed. I forgot to add that I had called today to cancel the appointment since I went and bought an opener to install myself and when i called the lady I spoke did not appear to see an appointment for me. While she didn't really say it she seemed to ask questions that clued me in that they had no appointment for me. So it seemed clear to me after that i had made the right choice.

    I contacted them initially about replacing a broken spring on my old door. After pricing the cost of spring replacement versus getting a new door, I decided to buy a new door from them and have them install it. They came to my house and opened my old heavy door for me and clamped it open so that I could use the garage till they installed a new door. They educated me about the quality of the DoorLink door that they sell versus other doors I looked at. The door arrived three weeks later and they installed it. The door quality is excellent. Their installation quality also was excellent down to the finest detail. They carried off my old door at no extra cost. It is the best garage door installation that I have had in 43 years of home ownership. They have been in this business for almost 30 years and their experience was evident in the professional installation. I highly recommend this company.
