QPS Chimney Contractors Landscaping & Snow
This updated review is long overdue and I apologize. Two years ago I needed some repair work done to my stack stone mailbox it was leaning due to excessive water erosion below it. I contacted multiple contractors including QPS without realizing it was the original firm that did the work in 2011. I didnt expect any warranty coverage for the repair. Rob showed up, immediately recognized me, we reconciled and we proceeded to go over the needed work. Without hesitation, Rob, immediately said he would fix the work and not charge me for the labor or materials. I was floored, like I stated, he did the work over 5 years ago at the time, I expected nothing. He went above and beyond to make it right, above any expectations I had. He worked great with my schedule and got the repair done wonderfully over engineered for the need. Lesson for me, seek understanding, and above all, and in all, Grace! Rob and QPS is a great person and company, I would be thrilled to use them again and refer. He cares!

Great Lakes Chimney Masonry & Restoration

Jim was great - very nice and very professional. When I purchased the $400 for $200 deal he contacted me right away (even though he was in Florida). We scheduled a time for him to come out and take a look at what we wanted done - he was very accommodating in picking out a time to schedule that. He gave us a quote, and that is exactly what he charged us. He said he could schedule us in about two weeks and he would call a day or two before. He gave me a call and they got it done just as expected. I am thrilled with how painless that was. No nasty surprises.

I LOVE IT! Everything was nice and clean. You wouldn't even know they had been here except now the brick looks WAY better! It was along the driveway side so every time I came home it would make me cringe. Now it looks GREAT!

I would definitely use Great Lakes in the future and recommend him to anyone who needs masonry work done.

Jim Dillinger, the owner, could not have been nicer or more professional. He came to the house the day after contacting him  and gave us an estimate. Work was scheduled for the following week. We were anxious to replace the steps, as our home was up for sale and we had an open house scheduled for the following Sunday. Rain interrupted all outdoor work on Mon/Tu, and I was worried that our steps job would be pushed off a few days. I phoned Jim. He reassured me he was going to do everything possible to get the steps done in time for the open house. He kept his word. The steps were completed on Friday afternoon. The workers were polite and neat. Clean up was great. Jim even colored the mortar for the steps and foundation so it would look nice on our 50-year-old home. The sandstone looks great. Jim is a man of his word who thinks it's important to do a good job and pay attention to small details as well as the overall job.

QPS Chimney Contractors Landscaping & Snow
Chimney was falling apart, another contractor recommended them to fix my chimney. Called for estimate was less than expected. He was out two days later with his crew, they did a fantastic job fixing everything and exceeded my expectations.

    R G MASONRY
The best service experience ever.  Ron guided us through the process completely.  We chose the brick, he made excellent recommendations for the mortar color and chimney design, and the work area was always kept as clean as possible.

Contractor was very cooperative. He came over to estimate the job. His price was more than I was envisioning to spend at that time, which was while the house was on the market. He offered a lower price for lesser work, which I agreed to. But bad weather set in and we couldn't get the job accomplished in time. In the meantime, the home was sold, and the new owner wanted to tackle the job on his own or with a contractor, but only after some other higher priority work was done first.

    SHOWALTER'S CHIMNEY SVC
We were very impressed with the service provided, and the workmanship of the job. Our chimney was over 100 years old and so we had the entire chimney rebuilt. He also installed a stainless steel cap, as well as repaired some cracked areas in our basement foundation. We were impressed with his responsiveness and we felt the cost was very reasonable. $100 of the total price was for the stainless steel cap.

    Matts Home Improvements
He did a good job on the work. My only complaint is that his communication regarding scheduling could have been much better. The work was scheduled several different times before it was completed. Some of that was due to weather (which is unavoidable) and one time was due to his error in scheduling. I didn't have an issue with needing to change the schedule. My issue was that he never communicated with me that he hadn't done the work, nor that he had to reschedule. The day the work was scheduled, I assumed it had been done (because he hadn't called me to say otherwise). It wasn't until I contacted my tenant that she informed me it hadn't been done. This happened 3 different times. Again, needing to reschedule due to weather was fine - not communicating it was not fine.  I think Matt was backed up considerably due to the endless rain we've had, so perhaps he was having difficulty keeping up with communicating things to everyone. However, in the end, he did the work and it was good.

    Reser Construction
He dug 9 linear feet of soil out of the wall by hand 24 inches deep.  He then removed the existing concrete blocks using hand tools and hauled them away.  He installed a new concrete footer and installed a new section of wall.  Because he did all of the work by hand, we had very little disruption or damage to surrounding lawn or landscaping.  He backfilled the area with stone and topped it off with the topsoil that he had removed and cleaned up.

    My Chimney Guys
Randy was great! He came out last minute and was very professional. He had to cut and reinstall stack stone on my columns so railing could be installed. He did a very good job and I would have used him for the larger job if I would have been on Angie's list before the other job was done. Overall very satisfied will use him again.
