    MENDCO CONSTRUCTION
The first week in my home Mendco threw out my personal family photos behind my house in the rain and snow. I found them a month later. I was missing guns and many many other items. Most of the items in my house were new and only needed cleaning. They destroyed many of the things I owned or never returned them. They had total disrespect for my home and property. Although I had a working hose outside I found them washing their paint brushes in a new bathroom sink and using a new tub to clean their mop buckets. I live on a small farm with a large front yard. Their supervisor had a four wheeler and used my front yard to spin around in it when it was wet and still snow on the ground. I found out later after they had damaged and never returned my most precious things that they operate their business illegally deceiving both me and the insurance company. Mendco is required to obtain a building permit and the owner told me I would know their work was done correctly when the building dept. inspected it. I learned later they hadn't obtained a building permit in my city since 2003 and there was no evidence that they were bonded or insured. Items that left in good shape to be cleaned in their warehouse were destroyed dismantled or were missing such as firearms. The only picture that I had of my best friend who had died had been hanging on a wall was never returned to me. I told the owner I would not cosign the insurance check until they found that picture. It was valuable to me. Instead of locating the picture the owner sent a man over to block my vehicle in my drive with the companies box truck and held me against my will threatening me. I am small and older. They learned back when I discovered they had threw all my photos outside that all my friends had recently died and I had no family. They knew I was alone in the world and took great advantage of it. I could hear the owner over his employees cell phone instructing him to keep me in my home and to threaten me into signing a paper. I refused to sign and the ordeal of being threatened went on 40 min. The owners wife showed up and arrogantly told me there was small print in the contract that I did not know about further trying to intimidate me.. My opinion is that the owners of Mendco are evil. I caught them in many lies. If they come to your house to try and get a contract call the police and don't let them in.

All went better than expected. Explanation of work to be done during consultation was brief and well explained. My questions were answered in greater details and with patients. Work performed looks great.

The contractor and all of their employees were very professional and very easy to work with.  If we had and questions, I would talk to a worker or call the office and they were answered and quickly.  Job was completed in  the time they said it would be. The work was above and beyond our expectations.  Job well done!!  I would definitely recommend this company

    Superior Quality Builders, LLC
Superior Quality Builders lives up to its name in every respect. We have utilized this company for a variety of projects over the last 4 years and have always been impressed by their work. The company installed a new roof with complete tear off. Mark designed and built a carport addition to the house. Both were done quickly and efficiently. Next, we had Mark and his crew install all new duct work with a central heating and air conditioning system. They also built a drop down staircase for easy access to the attic. Again, the work was excellent. Our most recent project was just completed last week. It included new Pergo flooring in our kitchen/utility room. They also completely remodeled our bathroom which included installing new bathtub, shower, sink, flooring, and painting...Another great job! Every project, whether large or small, was treated with professionalism and attention to detail (Mark is a perfectionist). Many times far exceeding our expectations. We trust Mark and his crew completely. We have been treated fairly, honestly, and with respect in all of our dealings with Superior Quality Builders. We have recommended Mark and his company to neighbors, co-workers, friends, and family. Our next undertaking will be new lighting and we already have Mark coming for an estimate.

agreement at all! Bearing in mind, that roofers charge aprVery, very poor job! Showed up when they felt like it. Owner and workers were rude.
The work was done poorly. Agreement was for them to install new roof and remove original slate roof. including cleanup.
When asked to leave slate pieces, I was told that the slates were theirs to keep. This was not in our contract . and yet they took them Vintage roofing slate sells for about $3.00 each and installation per tile is about $11.00 .

    K HOVNANIAN HOMES
It was a good experience working with the sales people, picking out styles, upgrades, etc. However, once money was paid and construction was started it went downhill. Beginning with the foundation construction, we saw some unprofessional and unsafe work. A crew of two didn’t want to wait for equipment to arrive, and they tried to manhandle two 650 pound I-beams into place on the foundation. It took the help of neighbor and the beams were dropped heavily on basement concrete block pillars. As construction proceeded we found badly split vertical wooden studs—we were told it was just the grain. We had to physically show the splits before the company would acknowledge and repair. Speaking of the wood constriction, walking on the floors actually causes noises from nearby furniture shifting and sometimes from underfoot. We paid for double-hung windows, but single-hung windows were installed all around. When we pointed it out, the original windows were torn out (late at night according to a neighbor) and the double-hung windows were then installed—we didn’t appreciate having the integrity of the window surrounds compromised on a new house. A large three-section palladium window was one that had to be replaced, but it leaked and had to be replaced. However, the wrong replacement window was installed, and that had to be replaced. The builder’s rep got quite disagreeable over this issue, as he didn't want to correct the third poor installation by having the correct window installed. A large number of roof shingles started to raise up a year-and-a-half after construction was completed. We had to fight for over a year with emails, phone calls, letters, as well as getting the city building department involved, to have adequate (?) repairs made—the builder blamed the subcontractor/roofer, but the roofer blamed the builder. The builder’s owner wouldn’t even respond to certified mail directed to him regarding the issue. Yard grading wasn’t done when promised. We had to wait several months while other newer lots were graded. There is more, but isn’t this enough? Incidentally, at least four of our nearest neighbors have said that they wouldn't buy a home from this builder in the future.

    Dellisanti Construction LLC
I contacted this company to repair a shower floor pan. The salesman who
came to our home was respectful and provided a timely quote. When we
attempted to have the job completed, we contacted the company to set up a
date for the work to be completed. I went to the office to re-sign
another contract for the job and was told they would get the samples by
Monday and to stop by. I arrived 45 min. to the office to review the
samples and to re-sign yet another contract and no one was at the
office. I emailed the company to see where they were and have yet to
receive any correspondence about the job. I choose another company to
    complete the project.

My experience with them was very, very good. George, the representative we have been working with and whom we saw many times met us whenever was convenient for us. He even cut his vacation short to come back just to meet us. They do not scrimp on what needed to be done. They put in the better stuffs. That way I am happy with him, and we are happy with George the representative.
