    N B ENTERPRISES INC
Nick and his crew were very professional and the work was done well and according to schedule, even working one Saturday to complete that job on time. We had confidence that Nick knew what he was talking about and that we would get our serious water/mildew problem taken care of. He checked in on the crew daily and kept us informed of the job's progress. We were very pleased with the work done.

    Sandstone Excavating
Overall experience went very well! I called around and after we met and went over what the job entailed I felt confident that Sandstone was the right company for the job. They were very profession and respectful. Everything that was discussed and proposed was done with no hidden costs or surprises. The job was done on time and when it was finished everything was completed to my satisfaction.

Ill begin by saying that I am very pleased with the work that was done, but glad that it is done.Due to factors beyond my control I had to move up my installation date and had to have a family member on site while the work was done.ARW was able to accommodate my situation by rearranging crew assignments, which I much appreciated.Mike, the owner, made several calls to me to provide progress updates and answer any questions I might have.He was definitely interested in making sure the job was executed well. The crew came in well prepared and organized; it was clear that they had worked together for a while and had completed a number of these projects together they definitely had the requisite experience to properly complete the work. The crew was courteous and easy to work with throughout the experience. This is hard work, but I did not observe them standing around idly they would arrive and immediately hit it.They happily completed a coupleof minor modifications for me and made additional suggestions while putting in the waterproofing system. The perimeter drain works as advertised. We had a good bit of rain a few days ago and the basement remained dry.I feel comfortable continuing with my plans to finish the area for a home office, exercise room, and expanded laundry room.I'm am also very pleased with the wall reinforcement system. It consists of high strength straps that are mechanicallyattached at the top and bottom of the wall; the strapping is attached to the wall with epoxy. To ensure a completely solid bond to the individual concrete blocks the paint had to be stripped from the walls. As a result one is left with a flat wall that can be painted as part of the wall - the system does not take space away from the room as alternative solutions do.This is a messy job, but one I don't regrethaving had done. Before the Crew arrived I had to have everything moved away from the walls. The Crew began by laying protective covering on the floor in route to the basement to avoid tracking dirt in.They also covered with plastic the furnace and the water heater and the remaining items in the basement.A couple things I would do differently:first, I would make sure that everything that was wrapped in plastic was completely sealed with tape and sealed at the floor.Secondly, I would have stapled plastic to the basement rafters. The concrete dust that results from removing the concrete from the basement perimeter is pervasive it was a job vacuuming afterwards. But as I said, when the rain came and the basement remained dry, I had no regrets.I recommend both systems.

    Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup
We had a blocked drain in the basement. They sent a guy out to check it, but he could not send a camera in the pipe since it was too narrow. He stated he would have another person come out with a smaller camera to check the floor drain.
The second individual arrived and claimed knew nothing of the need for the smaller camera. I went ahead and allowed the second individual  to dig an exploratory hole and put in a sump pump to the main line.
He gave me an extremely vague quote which I should have had detailed out. The work was done adequately but the price, as I found out later, was triple what it should have been.

I had three companies come in and survey my basement and recommend solutions. All three were professional and knowledgeable, but ARW was especially thorough and walked me through the pros and cons of different approaches. The quote was very reasonable and fair in my opinion when compared with the other two. I had to delay the work until this fall due to unexpected circumstances and got an updated quote in October. ARW was able to honor the original quote with only a small increase in cost due to increased material costs. However, following new technologies closely, they informed me about newer solution to shoring up my basement walls that has proven itself to be quite effective. I researched the new technique and was likewise impressed with the results - in addition to having many advantages it was a less expensive solution. I opted for the new approach.  ARW has been responsive to all my questions and I like the fact that they stay cutting edge. I will do a follow-up review after the work is completed, but so far I have been very pleased with them. My impression is that they want to do it right, which for me is always a priority.

I called this this morning about replacing a sump pump in one of our buildings where the basement had roughly 4 to 10 inches of water depending on how close to the pump you were standing. They called me back less than a half of an hour later and said they could have a tech there in about an hour. I drove to the building to meet the tech he found that our old pump had burned up from the float getting stuck. He replaced the pump and even hung around to make sure all the water was gone.

    Buckeye Waterproofing Inc

We had a few communication issues, and Buckeye's approach to "fitting you in" is not my cup of tea, but they did a good job, the price was fair, and hopefully my lower level flooding issues are resolved for good.

    Integrity Waterproofing
Steve was scheduled to meet me at my home at 6 pm on a work day.  There was a huge accident on the freeway to get to my house and traffice was backed up for miles, Steve called prior to 6 to let me know he would be a few minutes late, i was still on the freeway about 15 mins away and feeling bad that he was stuck in the same traffic asked if he wanted to rescheduled, to which he said no and would meet me when I got home.  I cannot say enough about him. He was at my house when I arrived, patiently waiting for me.  He was kind to my dogs as they barked at him.  He had a smile on his face even though he was sitting in traffic for an hour.  What sealed the deal on me using his company in the future is the fact that he didn't just go down and walk around and hand me a piece of paper with a 5 figure quote.  He asked me questions and I explained to him what I knew about the new home we just moved in about the water that may or may not have come from the storms we have had this summer. That after we redirected the rain pipes we haven't had water in the basement since.  Unlike some of the other people, he said that he didn't have enough information to really know if waterproofiing was needed. He advised me to wait it out through a couple of seasons and see what it does.  Since my basement was not finished, i'm not in a rush to do anything.  I appreciate the fact that he didn't scare me into waterproofing, and was honest enough to give me the advice to just get acclimated to my new home and see what happens before spending uneccessary money on something that may not need to be fixed.  I felt bad that he drove all the way to my house was stuck in traffice for a 15 min conversation.  But I definately will use his service in the future if needed.  Thank you so much, Steve!

    Ohio State Waterproofing

The crew showed up on time.  The supervisor went over the process in detail and asked if we had any questions.   We were home most of the 3 days it took to complete.  The whole time the crew was happy, professional and VERY, VERY HARD WORKING.   They were also very courteous and clean both inside and out.   On the final day they even brought in a crew of 10 additional men to thoroughly complete the job.  They even accomodated my wish to slap a bit of cement on an uneven sidewalk in front of our house!   They replaced our bushes, swept and hosed the driveway and were diligent about keeping the rest of the house protected from dust.   There was a small set back that involved our city Engineer's office and approval for hooking up our waterproofing to the city lines.   OSW worked with the city to have that done immediately.   We were VERY impressed and happy.

They have been back twice and, again, were prompt and helpful.   I wanted a change in one spot on the floor  and they did it just as I wanted it done!   The second time a supervisor came and helped me better understand the air filtration system and sump back up!

Most importantly with all the heavy rains this 2014 summer there hasn't been a drop of water anywhere!   I smile everytime I hear the sump pump kick on!!!

    THANK YOU OSW!
