AChoice Home WarrantyI had great service! The agent who did the faucets was very polite, and professional. He did a great job, our faucets are nice and sturdy. On the washing machine issue, the agents that arrived were also polite and professional. The agent said that the machine needed to be replaced. Fortunately, the coverage I had allowed me to be approved to purchase a new one! I guess I made the right (CHOICE HWS)- Christina R.

AStay Dry Waterproofing - ColumbusIn all of the 24 years that we've lived in our home, our sump pump never kicked on. We just assumed that it was because it didn't have to because our property is on a hill, but it turns out that it was rusted solid. Also, the water pipes from the downspouts on the west side of the house to the street were clogged with soil and/or roots, and were not draining rain water underground to the street's gutter efficiently, so in a heavy downpour, the excess water was seeping through the concrete blocks of our foundation on that side of the house. Luckily, we discovered water on the floor in our basement before it got to be a major problem, and we scheduled a crew from Stay Dry Waterproofing to install a new sump pump and all new PVC pipes underground. They showed up on Monday morning as promised, and spent several hours tunneling under the mulch beds next to our house and down the hill, and then UNDER the sidewalk to the gutter. They did a good job by returning the top soil dirt back into the trench and the sod back in place. They did poke a small hole in the plastic window well cover with a shovel, but it's no big deal (we sealed it with duct tape, and big flowerpots will cover it in the summer). Joe Basham was very polite & friendly, and he and his crew did an excellent job!- Robin S.

AThe Eco Plumbers & DrainsI received a call at 7:30 am to let me know the technician would arrive in 30 minutes. 15 minutes later he had arrived. It took only one technician to remove my old 40 gallon tank from the basement and replace it with a 50 gallon tank. I asked him to try to move it as far to the right as possible since I have to get around it to do laundry and it was already a tight squeeze with the smaller tank. He completed the work quickly and cleanly and managed to give me as much and maybe a little more space to get around it. He was patient and asked if I had any questions. All my questions were answered with kindness and clarity. I am very happy with the new water tank and the installation process. I hope I never need to buy another water heater, but if I do I would hire Eco Plumbers again.- Lisa C.

AThe Eco Plumbers & DrainsBobby came out to assess the issue, but the leak wasn't leaking. So he recommended not doing any repair, but watch it for a while. Over the weekend the leak reappeared. I texted a picture, and he called back immediately, and scheduled to return first thing Monday. He replaced only the parts that were the issue, no more. We always ask for Bobby as he is always professional, informative, and does the job well. And he always comes back at no additional charge if the problem hasn't been fully resolved.- SAM L.

AThis project went off without a hitch. I called Accurate Plumbing on a Monday, bought the tank ourselves on a Tuesday, and they were out Thursday to install. From start to finish, the job took about 90 minutes and the area was cleaned up nicely before they left. Great experience. Would highly recommend. Thanks to Greg, filling in for Service Manager, Mike, for his quick replies and fair quote. Thanks to Justin, the lead installer, and his apprentice, Logan, for their professionalism and quality install. You were all such a pleasure with which to work. Thanks for making this experience an easy, hassle-free install.

DI had performed a self-install of a new refrigerator water line with a saddle valve and the valve was leaking and no water was coming to the fridge. I asked that he come and repair or replace the valve and get water to the fridge. He said they were booking a few days out with the Thanksgiving holiday and being busy, and asked if that was okay and I said yes as it wasn't a bad leak. He scheduled me for a window of 1-2 pm. on November 23rd. At 2:35 pm that day I had the wife call him as I was still at work; he forgot to place us on the schedule but said he would still come between 4 and 4:30. He shows up and repairs the valve and gets water to the fridge. It is not coming out very fast and I don't know this because the wife is working with him at the dispenser holding a cup. He says it should be good to go and we write him a check. He says that I will receive an electronic receipt in e-mail very soon and he departs. I telephone him on Friday the 27th because there is very little ice production and the water is still coming out at a trickle. AND I have yet to receive a receipt for his first visit. He asks about kinks in the line (which I have already checked and he did as well when he was here the first time) I give my opinion on what may be the cause and I inform him that I have already checked the water pressure with a gauge; he says he will place me on the schedule to come see what may be the issue....and he asks for my email address again to get me a receipt. 4 days later he texts me on Tuesday December 1st (at 11 pm at night) and says he has an opening Friday morning or early afternoon and could he come over then? I stated that early after Noon would be fine. He then responds that he can only come between 8am and 11 am that day--so I asked why did he offer an afternoon slot?? He says he forgot he had someone scheduled at 12 instead of 2pm. I told him to forget the whole thing and that I would find someone else that doesn't give me the run-around. He apologized and said it was hard wearing all of the hats of the owner/plumber/secretary of the small company. He also said he did the job for half what other companies would charge. I understand the aspects of running a small business, that is one of the reasons I contracted with him in the first place-to be able to support a small business in these poor economic times. He failed to provide the service I requested and states that he corrected my issue- this is not true. I did not have ice nor proper water dispensing is what I contracted and paid for at the first visit. I feel that he should have promptly returned when informed that it was not working properly, and was placed on the back-burner and I truly believe that if he ever did return he would charge me full price for the call even though the proper repair was not completed initially. Oh, he did finally send me a receipt right before calling me on the 1st for the $150 I paid to have a new saddle valve installed. Nice guy but very poor business practices during my experience.
