Television Repair reviews in Dublin

Based on the reviews on Angie's List, I took my TV to Igor.  He's a one-man shop, so I had to leave the TV in his shop for a week.  When I explained the issue (TV picture was coming in similar to the way a negative looks on a photograph), he explained the possible culprits.  His explanation matched everything that I'd researched.  He called me with an explanation of the issues, and the cost to repair.  He educated me a bit on how things work within the TV.  All in all, a very good experience.  Very trustable.

This is the best TV repair service. They were prompt--I took my TV in on Monday and had it back by Thursday. They were reasonable and applied the diagnostic fee toward the service fee. Excellent. Very happy !

Advanced Television Service Center were here for a couple hours. They took the tv apart to see what was wrong with it. They only charged us $64 which I thought was really reasonable for how long they were here. The part needed is no longer made so they rebuilt one per our request. They then came back out and took our tv back to our shop where they are currently fixing it. We brought up a smaller tv from the basement and the worker hooked up the cable for us and made sure all the channels work. He didn't need to do that. So, he went above and beyond for us to make sure we had a tv over the last week.

Great! Expected trip charge of $65.00, labor $95.00 (ouch) parts and tax made up the price difference. Bob had the television fixed in under an hour. Wish we would have called to have repair done before purchasing a new television. Same day service was a bonus.

Great service - repair to a 50 inch Toshiba projection TV. They were supposed to be there between 5 and 7, called before they came, were on time and were very nice. He looked at the TV, determined it was an issue with some hardware in the TV. He had the part with him, suspected that's what it was before coming, was able to swap out the part and get the TV back to normal. He also adjusted the settings on the cable box for better viewing and recalibrated the light guns in the TV. Worth every penny.

Joe came out and thankfully the problem occurred when he was at the house. He gave me a couple possible problems and what each option would cost. I said go ahead and try to fix it. The problem was that the solder contacts were worn and Joe soldered all the contact points with the tuner. The TV works fine again.

Called for estimate. The guy arrived within two hour window as promised, had the part with him and proceeded to replace it after I accepted the estimate amount. The hyper-board he brought was defective which caused a delay of about a week. This time he arrived with two cards and was able to get the TV functional.

TV is a Olevia, 26" LCD model #LT26HVE, purchase on Dec 15, '05. Problems began in early Dec '06. TV would go off and not come back on for hours. The TV stopped working completely Dec 19 '06. Gregg on Sawmill was called Dec 22. We were told to call ElectraSound; we did. Their recording said that they could not be back until 26th. I called them that day. They said that they did not work on Olevia TV and said "good luck". I called the Sawmill store again and was told that they would charge me $59 to look at the TV since the TV was NOW out of warranty (I have notes; copy can be supplied). I strongly feel that Gregg on Sawmill gave me the run around or did not want to deal with me. I then mailed a letter to the CEO of the company, Gerald Throgmartin sent on Jan 11 '07; rec Jan 16 '07 (copy can be supplied). I have not had a reply. I want the TV fixed by Gregg as if the TV was still in warranty. I should not be penalized for their inefficiency.

I couldn't find any company willing to come to my house to do this work. This company didn't want to do it either, however, they had me talk to one of their employees that would do it on the side - after he got off work. They put him on the phone and he agreed to come to my house that evening. He arrived on time and assured me that all the connections were correct. He was here for about an hour and was very helpful. He spent time adjusting the antenna and even wrote out directions on how to record on one channel while watching another channel. He left his phone number for me to call if I had any problems with the TV in the future. Even though this company didn't do the work, they were helpful in getting someone that could help me. I would definitely use them in the future for any TV repair needs.

CLAY WAS FRIENDLY, POLITE, AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. WE WERE THRILLED TO HAVE HIM COME OUT ON A WEEKEND. HE WAS RUNNING A BIT LATE, AND CALLED AHEAD TO SEE IF THAT WOULD BE A PROBLEM. WE'D CALL HIM AGAIN IN A HEARTBEAT.
