    KD Yoder & Associates Inc
The Jeffs (father and son) were awesome to work with throughout the entire process, helping me with design and product suggestions, as well as acting as a General Contractor for work they wouldn't normally do at KD Yoder (the stone and chimney demolition were outside of their typical scope and were work that other contractors said "no" to doing). Their "can do/we'll figure out a way" attitude, as well as a previous referral from a trusted friend in the Columbus home building industry led me to choose them. The finished product led me to writing this review & further spreading the word. We spent more than our original budget, however this was all due to upgrades along the way. We LOVE the finished product and my neighbors have as well! If you break up the costs, the stone was about $4000, the new gutters and gutter toppers were $1500-2000, chimney demolition was around $4000 and new siding around $14,000. Check out the before and after photos!

The project dragged on months longer than expected. While the quality is generally great (with a couple of exceptions), the haphazard communication and seeming lack of priority with many of the subcontractors was very frustrating. In the end it's a beautiful hearth room addition with a wooden ceiling, lots of windows and a nice stone fireplace, but the process, particularly lack of communication and missed timelines, has been painful.
I also notice in the other reviews that the clients with smaller jobs seem to be happier in their reviews. When you're paying almost six figures for a project the expectations for regular, clear communication are higher. The company seemed over-committed when we worked with them....it felt like they had too much going on to give our project the focus it needed.

    LIFE STYLE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

You are in good hands when you work with LC team.

Megan Kelly= She is a realtor who represents LC. Who we believe the best realtor in town.

Don= Warranty and QA guy. He answered all my questions and took care issues we found (Minor, Cosmetic)

Greg= Super intendant. He was on top of everything.

We built several homes in US in the past but never had a good experience until we met this winning team.

Solid house, solid quality and solid team.

We love this builder so much so we bought 1 town house from them in 2012, 1 single home in 2013,

and have a plan to buy another within few years.   MI and Dominion homes are OK, we owned one

before but why we have to buy OK house when I can buy the BEST from LC.

    Palmer Builders LLC
We had an unfinished section of basement and needed to frame it, add drywall, add electrical, closet and bath access for a wheelchair.  We also needed access for a wheelchair which created some difficulties when designing the layout.  Dan was able to understand exactly what we both, wanted and needed.  Dan had offered great solutions , that we hadn't formerly thought of,  to create an efficient and aesthetic room. Dan was onsite and his crew, Jeff and Cody, were extremely adaptable, proficient and professional. They were able to do the work quickly while still creating a space that is sturdy and beautiful.  He was the only contractor that was adaptable to our schedule (we had 5 bids) , worked within our budget and the work was completed before deadline.   They always left site with a clean work area,  which was thoughtful, since we have kids in the house.  They were always friendly and worked daily with no disturbance to our routine.  They were true to their word on what time they would be here and what work was being completed that day.  Truly, the most amenable and professional craftsmen I have had the pleasure to hire.  The overall project looks flawless.  The work exceeded our expectations and we will be hiring Palmer Builders again for any future projects.  I would recommend Palmer Builders to anyone, without hesitation.

    Randy Wilhelm
Randy is the owner and he's excellent. He lives in Plain City and does a lot of work in Dublin. Many years ago he did a lot of work for my husband and I when we were working on our house in Worthington. We were also doing some remodeling on some houses that we were buying, selling, remodeling, and turning over. We knew how good he was and we had lost touch with him. We found him very accidentally when we got another hardwood floor guy off of Angie's List to come over and look at our kitchen. We had water damage in our kitchen and laundry room this winter when we were gone, so when we came home we had to have new flooring put in our kitchen, breakfast room, laundry room, and a half bath. The hardwood guy called me back, came out the next day, looked, and was really professional, but we didn't use him because it was more than he wanted to do. He was more into floor refinishing than tearing out the floor and putting in new flooring, but in the process of talking with him he gave us Randy's email and phone number. We couldn't believe it because the phone number that we had for him was no longer a working number. We've been gone for a number years and we haven't used him for a number of years. When we moved back we couldn't find him and that was in '04. We called him and he came over and did all the flooring. Randy is a real pro. He has a lot of work and is just working all of the time. We knew him when he was young and either 29 or 30, but now I believe he's 58. We've known him a long time and we were so happy to get back in contact with him. When he called me back he said that he couldn't believe that we've managed to get back in contact with him. He said he thought we were still in Worthington and I told him no. I asked where was he at and he said still in Plain City, so he had changed cell phone numbers. I wasn't using the internet back then like I am now and I bet I could've searched him out and had found him, but I guess I didn't search hard enough. It took him about two weeks to get it done. He did a beautiful job and it's quality construction. Everything they did was perfect and he even went with me to pick out what I needed to get for the bathroom. He's just an excellent guy. He's honest, professional, and he prices fairly. He just does everything right and I couldn't say enough positive things about him. The price was very reasonable for what they had to do.

    R A Renovations LLC
We were very pleased with how everything went with our project.  It was completed pretty much right on schedule;  the work was completed in just over two months, which is great for this size of renovation (others had quoted 5-6 months and we even added a lot on to the addition scope of the project).  Keith at RA Renovations was great to work with - he knows what he's doing and is very easy to work with.  They were very reliable and were pretty good about cleaning up at the end of the day and trying to be the least disruptive to us as they could since we were living in the house through the whole project.  We were always comfortable with the progress of the job in proportion to the amount we had paid to that point. Things happen, and anytime there was something we weren't happy with, Keith would always "make it right". We feel we got a great renovations at a very fair price.  We would highly recommend RA Renovations to anyone.  We love our new home and have received lots of compliments on it from family and friends.

    FERGUSON CONSTRUCTION CO
They were very helpful in determining what would be the best for my needs. There was no pressure to buy something more expensive. The showroom was also very helpful in seeing what was available. Great selection.

    Heinlen-Follmer Inc
Heinlen and Follmer are partners. Todd Follmer became a partner after our house was built. They still help us to fix things in our house. They are pretty remarkable. Mr. Heinlen sent his painter over to my house in July to paint around my windows. I also have a new door to be installed and I am waiting for them to fix it for me. I will use their services in the future as well.

    MI Homes Showcase Homes
Overall, the building process went very smoothly. We found Showcase Homes to be very flexible in home design. We were able to extensively modify the stock plans for our home model, completely changing some room layouts and traffic patterns. Customizations were made such as adding a room in space that would normally just be attic space. We had built a home previously with MI Homes, and did not have nearly the latitude as we had with Showcase. Essentially MI Homes acted as a production builder whereas their Showcase Homes division acts as a (semi) custom builder. Our production supervisor was very responsive in addressing our questions and concerns. Our design consultant was very helpful in assisting us in selections for interior and exterior finishes, furnishings, floor coverings, and so forth. We were able to schedule multiple design sessions, and were able to modify selections as necessary, up to the time construction began. Following the closing, Showcase Homes warranty department has been very helpful at taking care of any "loose ends". To date, all concerns with our home have been satisfactorily resolved.

They provided me with discounts on my new home, held it until I had the money to move in and also gave me a substantial amount towards closing costs. They were just wonderful, all around. The house is wonderful and there is not a problem with it! I would definitely recommend them to others!
