FWayne Homes BowlingThey said that didn't fall under a structural warranty. The company who installed our roof is no longer in business so I can't go back to them about the improper way they installed it. And that the only way there would be any type of warranty is if it was an actual shingles defect. And that I would need to pay a local contractor to evaluate that. If they determine it was a shingles defect, they I would have to contact the shingles company myself. Basically Wayne Homes is a just a big general contractor. They don't actually build houses; they pay whatever person who places the cheapest bid, they pay them to do different jobs. They just sub-contract. The only thing Wayne homes does is, they have a person who oversees what all the sub-contractors are doing. They came out to the site once every few weeks or may be once a week, to actually see what was going on. We were very unhappy the whole entire time. All the contractors who came out, who were doing the different things, the drywall, the flooring, the trim, the cabinets, they were all complaining about how Wayne Homes didn't pay well. They were getting cheap wages so they were hurrying to do the job. In the end once our house was completed, we moved in and winter time came, several of the walls in the house actually lifted up off of the floor. There were gaps between the flooring and the wall, and cracks everywhere in the drywall. So we called Wayne Homes and they came out and checked it out and admitted that they made a mistake. They said they would send the framers back to try and fix that mistake. The framers came back in and tried to fix that mistake and I said, "What about all that drywall that is messed up'. So they had the drywallers come back and try to fix these cracks and then they said, "We have got this all taken care of". And the following year winter time came and the same thing happened. So I have a brand new house that has cracks in the drywall everywhere and nails popping everywhere, screws popping everywhere.- Kelly M.
