    The job was perfect. Mary Jo, the sales representative from American Wood Refacing, was very helpful and thorough. She made several suggestion on how to make our kitchen more efficient by just re-configuring some of our kitchen base cabinets. She did not waste our time and came fully prepared to answer all of our questions. The material used was top notch and Ray, the carpenter for this project, is an excellent master craftsman in his trade. He was efficient, kept a clean job site and completed the project on time. I would highly recommend American Wood Refacing to my family and friends.

    The lights are wonderful and the installers did the best they could given the order was inaccurate and incomplete. The first time installers came out they could only hang a few lights because the sales order had many errors. Every bulb brought was the wrong color (yellow, rather than white). I found out I needed to hire an electrician to do extra work to make the installation possible. The track light came without a power adapter. Extra parts were ordered which had to be returned for credit. I'm still awaiting one bulb, with no indication when it will be available (the company will not communicate with me). I called the office to ask to speak with the owner about my experience and was told the only person who would speak with me was the owner's wife and I should email her and ask her to contact me. I did so and, after 10 days, she has yet to call or return my email. The lights are beautiful. The installed fan makes noises at medium speed. The inaccuracies on the order, the need to hire an electrician, the company's refusal to answer my question about the missing bulb (which has been paid for) and the owner's wife ignoring my request to talk makes me give an overall rating of D for this company.

    Originally scheduled for a weekday, Ashley called Saturday morning to see if we could have the work done that day. This was fabulous since we had to turn off the breaker for the front porch light still on knob and tube, which also killed half of our living room (router and TV included) and our upstairs bedroom where our alarm clocks drew power. Ashley called to tell us the electrician was on the way and Jason was very professional, real, and friendly with our dog who can be scary. Found out one of the wires somehow became grounded to the aluminum sophet, which could have been quite nasty. He fixed the problem, rehung the light and was on his way. Very happy with the entire experience. Will definitely use again and refer others to OTT Electric.

    It went extremely well. Jason was kind enough to allow me to walk with him during his evaluation, which I know can be annoying to some contractors. But not Jason - he was kind and professional the whole time. He explained every review he was making, what he was looking for, and how he would be able to help us not only get up to code, but make it safe and sleek. He was incredibly detailed, and his report was wonderfully presented and easy to follow.

    He would go on to replace our electric panel the following week. It is by far the best job I've ever had done by a contractor. Flawless work, beautiful presentation. He truly goes the extra mile to give his customers not only function, but the best success rate moving forward. We started with a mess of cables and lines, with a 50 year old outdated panel, and ended with a brand new panel, beautifully crafted and organized. Now everything is sleek and clean, easy to cover, and my wife and I now are confident our system will run smoothly for years. Our old panel would randomly shut itself off...now we have a reliable and safe system we can be proud of. I love showing off our new home to our friends and family and now I want to include the work Jason did!

    Service was great! We pre-paid for two hours of electrical service with the Angie's List deal and had a list of items we wanted to have looked at/fixed. We have an older home, we just moved in, and we discovered a lot of issues with individual lights/sockets. The technician was on time and really, really great at his job! He blew through our list of things we wanted to get done and after thirty minutes we were scrambling to find other things for him to fix. We had hoped to get two lights fixed and he ended up fixing three lights, an outlet, and removing a bunch of old/extra wiring we had on our basement ceiling. Such a value! We're thrilled and will definitely use Northern Ohio Electric again!

    The lights in my garage were flickering, two garage outlets were not working, Outdoor plug not working and damaged and I couldn't identify which electrical circuits the various outlets and fixtures were on.  The electrician arrived, listened carefully to all my issues, quickly and quietly went to work.  Reported back with detail on the issues, problems, suggested solutions and how the outlets and fixtures were connected.  He did the work quickly and quietly, provided the invoice which had all details and I paid.  I was extremely satisfied and pleased with all aspects of the service.

    Everything was done on budget and in a timely manner.

    The workers are always polite and do their job. John, the owner is a great communicator and makes sure that he knows what you want and makes great suggestions. He has worked on every room in our house and our cottage. He has excellent workers in the area and hires the best.

    As with many jobs, things came up that were not expected while they were in the middle of the job and we were able to adjust the work order to my satisfaction. For example, when removing a gas fireplace in our family room, we found that it had not been installed properly and required extra work and expertise to cap everything properly, and up to code. John's workers knew what to do.

    Also, the experienced electrician who was here fixed some problems that I had when I asked about them. I did not expect free work, and he was able to contact John and adjust my bill for his time. He had the materials in his truck. I liked that because I did not have to call again for a new job. They were flexible.

    I decided to have my house painted a week before Thanksgiving and John and his guys got in done for me in plenty of time.  He has the best painters. I have never seen anyone so good at their jobs.

    I purchased the ceiling lights and they put them in. This was from scratch. They had to run the wires, make the holes in the ceiling and install the switches. They were in and out of my house so fast you would hardly know they were here. Same with ceiling fans in they bathrooms.

    We started with the big job of remodeling our family room, which was beautiful. We had a GIANT stone fireplace that took up a major part of the room and when that came out a lot of drywall work and electrical work was needed. Then trim to match the rest of the room. It looks great now.

    I will always call on Odd Jobs Squad.

    The workers that came were very professional and did a great job! They made recommendations to us that were helpful when we weren't sure on things.
    Some days trying to contact office, I left messages and the calls were not returned as quickly as I had liked, but they did return the calls.
    I am not familiar with the city permits, and the permit they did with the city did not really list out the details or costs, which some of the permits I have seen on file do list, but the permit is there on file so I guess it is ok. Our final inspection passed.

    It went very well.  The electrician was very prompt and efficient.  He was not in his normal work truck - so he didn't have the tools he needed to install the outlet in the back of the house - so he said he would come out the next morning.  He was there promptly at 9:00am and had the new outlet installed in about 45 minutes.

    He was able to come out quickly to look at the job.  After promising to send the quote the next day, I continue to call and ask him for a quote, he would continue to promise the next day.  After a few days I asked him if he really wanted the job, and he gave me the price verbally over the phone.  After deciding to do a couple things less than originally planned (due to the high price), he became verbally frustrated.  Still I proceeded with him due to the time crunch.  I was not there when he performed the job, but when he called and asked questions about some placements of fixtures or wiring, he would get angry again and had absolutely no patience.  When the job was almost completed, he called and said that the last few repairs were more than he thought and that he would need to come back out and charge $500 more.  I told him to skip the last repair, but he still charged me the full $775 even though he didn't complete all the repairs!
