  • They're great. I usually take them once or twice a year. It's $15 per dog, per day for boarding. I'm not sure they have toys. I know treats and food, yes, but I don't know about toys. They usually take Kiko; I have a five-pounder yorkie.

  • I had to find an guy to transport him from here to Louisville, Kentucky. If anyone needs someone, he is the one to do it. He is an A on all accounts. Mostly long distances, but they might do short distances. I felt, and this is somebody I don't know, he came and picked up my horse. He could have gone anywhere with it. He delivered it to where it needed to be. Safe and sound. Very reputable. That was very stressful. Sending him off down there, he was like one of my kids. The van was gorgeous, and everything about it was professional and top class. When you deal with animals, punctuality you are dealing with animals. If they don't want to get in the van, you will be late as usual. Same with an vet. There is nothing to improve on, he was wonderful. I was shocked the price was that. I was thinking $1000, and he went all the way to Louisville. I mean I drove to Louisville and left after him. I had to do some things. I passed him on the road, and got there before him. Like I said, for me its just driving my car. He had another horse on there, and brings horses back here. Its a father son thing, the son makes the appointments, and father does the hauling. The son is who I was in contact with, and scheduled with. Sometimes I had to leave messages, and he didn't call me back. Its some phone tag going on. I wasn't sure on the date he would be going. In the three days he would be going there, not a special trip. I am sure if would have cost more then.

  • Could not be happier with their services.....only place we would trust our Pug with. Gave him all his meds, took him outside for play time, cleaned his fold over his nose on regular basis - necessity with Pugs.

  • We have boarded our dog at Heartland Kennels several times over the past year and had him groomed a couple of times.  We are extremely pleased with their facility.  Our dog always leaves happy and looking and smelling clean (even when not getting a bath before leaving).  The staff is super friendly and good with our dog.  On top of their excellent service, they are extremely reasonable with their pricing (especially compared to other kennels in the surrounding area with subpar facilities).  We recommended our father-in-law to Heartland and he now drives out of his way to bring his dog to Heartland when he travels.  One thing to be aware of:  Your dog must have it's current vaccinations at least 2 weeks prior to boarding (great for the health of our dogs!).  I would recommend Heartland to anyone looking for a boarding facility for their dog.

  • Both dogs are rescues. One was rescued at 5 y/o and has a lot of medical and excitability issues, so it's been hard to find a day care which will work with an excitable rescue. The Pooch Palace has and quot;private roomsand quot; which allow my older dog to be in a comfortable room, cage free. The staff has worked with him to be able to enjoy other dogs in a safe environment. The staff are very caring and very competent. My more active dog is encouraged to spend time with his brother in the private room as well as play in the big room. The large play room is huge, which is wonderful for bigger dogs to get lots of exercise. The private rooms are large and comfortable. I can't say enough good about the Pooch Palace.

  • We will be using Tails R Waggin as the only kennel for our dog! We were so impressed with the professionalism of each employee, the cleanliness of the facility, and the love and care given our dog during our family vacation. Although $30/day is quite a bit higher than some other kennels, it was definitely worth the peace of mind that our dog was being loved, exercised, and thoroughly cared for! We will be recommending Tails R Waggin to all our friends.

  • We have been using Vicki's services at Heartland Kellenl since it opened. SInce then, we have lost one dog and have another one. I cannot say enought about Vicki and her entire family. This is more than a business for them, it is a passion and love. She was born to be with animals. My dog, Baron, lovee her and her kennel. I have used the boarding serivices since the beginning as well as the gromming services. The kennel is clean and they have NEVER come home with fleas. They interact with the pets and treat them as if they were their own. I have recommended Heartland to many people for boarding as well as grooming.
If you have never boarded before and are nervous, this is the place for you! They will take care of your pet just as if it were at home with you.

  • We dropped off our girl after she passed a free, all-day temperament test to make sure that she would be social with other dogs. I was impressed by TRW from the very beginning, as their paperwork asks you to describe everything from your dog's favorite toy to her medical issues and her behaviors around dogs, kids, and adults. Our dog is nervous around other new dogs so we were nervous about how she'd do and we were grateful to have a temperament test ahead of time. But she did great!
The staff were organized, professional, and so very loving with our dog. When I called in to check on her (we had never left her in a kennel before), they talked about how much she liked to be held, which made me really know that she was getting lots of one-on-one attention. They have a separate area for small dogs, which helped our dog to -- for hte first time -- make pals with other dogs! We were so happy to have our dog socialized after seeing her struggle with meeting dogs on walks or in the dog park.
When I picked her up at the end of our four nights, the single best way that I could tell that TRW is the best place for my dog is that she was completely and totally herself. At other kennels I have seen dogs come home with a different personality -- more aggressive, more passive, or something else. But our girl was the same as always and very happy to see us.
Finally, I loved the little 'reports' that the loving TRW staff took time to write. Each day we could see what our dog was doing, who she played with (people and other dogs!), and whether she ate her food and her treats. I could see her regular at-home behaviors (loves snuggling) and new behaviors that showed that she was learning to be friendly with other dogs (she found a few regular pals that she spent a few days with!).
Our dog is safe and happy at TRW. We trust them and are grateful to have them.

  • I've left my baby here twice, and I couldn't be happier with how they take care of him and watch him when I'm out of town! It's a vacation for him, and a great place for him to interact with other dogs. He can play all day and I'm reassured because I can watch him on a webcam, and I saw that he got personal attention from the staff daily! Highly recommended by me and my Bernese Mountain dog!

  • My dogs love going to camp!  They always come home exhausted from playing all day with other dogs.  I have boarded my dogs at other kennels and camps; I definitely like this better than the standard kennels where dogs are caged all day.  I have been to camps that are a little bit cleaner, however they were quite a bit more expensive.  Since dogs are dogs I feel like a little dirt never hurt, so I honestly don't have any complaints.  I take my own food and they feed on our schedule.  They also leave you notes on how they eat and behave while at camp which is great!
