AIt went amazing. The house looks so good...brand new even. The windows are new, clean, and make it complete. It's like a new house, beautiful color. The guys did a wonderful job. They worked hard even in cold temperatures. They were very friendly and professional throughout the process. The new gutters make the house shine. I love coming home to our beautiful house.- cathy z.

AInitial contact was quick and scheduled the service within a week or so. I was out of town when the work took place. I came home to see it all completed with no issues and then made arrangements to pay in person the following week. Would recommend and hire again for similar or other services.- jasen t.

Excellent service! Recently bought a home that had water infiltration issues in the basement. After having the home inspected by multiple contractors and plumbers, I chose to have Wohlwend Contracting handle the job. The owner came to my home, and assessed the issues. His estimate, and final cost of the project were very fair prices. He kept me informed of arising problems during the project, and never made me feel like I was spending money on unnecessary details. He was very knowledgeable about the entire process, and gave me a lot of insightful options to help me make informed decisions. Part of the job involved removing then replacing a brick sidewalk, and excavating under flower beds. The end result looks even better than before. I found him (and his brother) to be very courteous, considerate, and highly skilled at their trade. I feel that this company went above and beyond for me, and I would not hesitate to hire them again, or to recommend them to anyone needing high quality, reasonably priced, professional work done to their home. Really, couldn't be happier with the service.

AThe owner, Dan Guardo came out for the estimate w/in a few days of request. We actually got 3 different estimates from him as we were unsure how much we could afford to do. He was very understanding in regards to this. They did have to move our job back a week but that's mother nature for you as their work is dependent upon weather conditions. All in all, it took approx. 6-7 days to complete entire job. Everyone that I came in contact with was very nice and very professional in their work. There was one guy who over saw the work and was one of our contacts to let us know what was going on and where they were with the job and also for any questions as the work progressed. The owner, Dan Guardo, stopped over several times during the job to check on his team also. We are happy to see our garage not tilted anymore d/t crumbling foundation and the driveway looks great!!

Ci had gone to the center to check out the builder based on the address that was posted on the website. firstly, the location is not easily recognizable as a kemppel location as it is in a plaza with no signs.
upon entering the unit, there was no one to be found. i was there a good 1-2 hours before the end of business day in the middle of the business week. after hitting the bell, a young man came to the desk and asked if he could help. i was just looking around, trying to get a feel for what kemppel had to offer. he replied that he was 'just an accountant' and didn't know of anything regarding sales or the homes themselves. he then wrote down a name and number of a sales' representative and the address of one of their recently finished builds.
that was it.
i did not go with this building as it didn't seem that they were interested in engaging the customer. i felt as if i needed to be 'good enough' for them, instead of meeting them on an equal field. i felt as if i was being judged by the lone person i spoke to.
i can't imagine having a place of business open with no one there to speak to potential customers.
frankly, it was their loss . . . they lost a potential customer. and i am happy with the builder i ultimately went with.

AThis was a very positive experience start to finish. Dan and his crew built a 32' by40' pole barn for us. They showed up with their equipment right on time the first day and every day thereafter. They cleaned up the site everyday and took great care of the property. The finished barn was everything we hoped fore and more. Dan's estimate was right on the money and I would use them again.- Richard R.

FMet Ric at the Akron's Home and Garden show. He made a great first impression. We planned on using him for all of our 203k needs. We had a budget of $35,000. We told him this up front. He came out and looked at the house as we told him everything we wanted to do. He said he was very optomistic that we could complete everything for that budget. After he started estimate he got 75% of the things we wanted done and was already $12,000 over budget. After talking to him, my wife and I decided that we would do the bare minimum and do the rest of the work ourselves to save money. I had a few more contractors come and look at the property and after talking to Ric, he said he would really like the job. Ric did take me to one of his other jobs on two seperate occasions and the amount of work he got complete in 3 weeks is the same it would of take most people to complete in 2 days. So I told him if he could get the work done in one month the job was his. He agreed and so we moved forward. After he took the job at the HUD's minimum, my wife and I added a HVAC unit to the house. The intial quote was $12,500. Ric came back out and told us that estimate went up to $30,000 because we needed a dual furnace system. We told him to get another look and we would have someone come out as well. We had Beckwith come out and tell up he could only do a top of the line with our house and it would be $20,000. So we asked Ric if his guy could do it for $15,000 if it was not top of the line. Ric called after the guy left and told us he was optimistic about $15,000. He then called the next night and told us it would be $20,000 and not be top of the line, plus his 25% increase so he could make money. We told him nevermind we are not going to pay that much, $15,000 was our limit. So he then informed me then this job was not worth his time. I told him we are 2 weeks from closing add $1000 of just labor to make sure we can get it done. He still refused. I asked him if he was backing out of the deal knowing it was going to cost us $100 a day if we do not close on time, and that my wife and I would be homeless after the middle of May and he said he still cant find a reason to help us out. This guy gets your trust and then hikes the prices. He moves very slow. Do not recommend. He will burn you at the last minute and not care.- Bryan R.

AMy overall experience with them has been great. They're friendly and on time. They work overtime and they have done everything we've asked them to do. Everything they have done has been done immaculately and they keep the site clean. They have bent over backwards for us.- Alice H.

ALike a lot of people, we had quite a bit of ice build up on our gutters this year. One day in mid-February I got a call from my wife saying that part of our family room carpet was wet and it looked like water was coming in along the skylights and back wall of our family room. I called the insurance company who recommended Taylor Construction and Restoration. I called them about 10am in the morning. By 11 one of their foremen, Dan, was on site. By noon, he had a crew of 5 guys in my house and they were pulling off the damaged drywall to let the walls dry out and prevent further damage. I'm telling you these guys were amazing! It started to snow like crazy that afternoon and still one of their guys was 30' up on a ladder chopping ice out of my gutters! Those guys stayed until 8pm that night to remove all the damaged woodwork and drywall from my family room and the finished basement below. They installed 3 fans and two large dehumidifiers and cleaned up all of the mess before they left. When the weather finally broke, they came back in and in the course of a short week, completely restored everything so that you'd never no anything happened. I was especially pleased at how well they performed with difficult tasks like matching the texture on repaired sections of ceiling. They are excellent painters as well. Dan Testa our foreman, was very patient and extremely helpful. He negotiated everything with the insurance company and always did what he promised. He was accommodating when we decided to use somebody else to replace the carpet and tile around our fireplace. He made the entire process easy and was a pleasure to deal with throughout the entire process. Really, all of his guys were great. I wouldn't hesitate to use Taylor for anything in the realm of construction and restoration. You won't find a more honest and hardworking bunch of guys in Northeast Ohio.- Martin H.

AThis job was a complete kitchen demo and remodel. The job was completed in 3 weeks. The kitchen had not been remodeled or updated since the house was built in 1948. Bestway Construction was able to take care of providing a plunber, electrician and did all the demo and and installation of cabinets, tile and flooring. They did not fool around when working, They came when they said they would be there and worked very hard to get the job done. They made sure that we were please with all their work. Our kitchen is awsome! If you are looking for a company that does what they say they can do Bestway is that comany. Fast, friendly, reliable, trustworthy, proffessional, experienced contractors are all words that I would use to decribe Bestway Construction.- Stephanie w.
