Drywall Repair reviews in Cuyahoga Falls

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • They have done drywall for us 3 times the last in which he had to completely redo the walls and ceiling of our kitchen and also ripped out a fireplace wall and redid it. Chris does excellent work. He is a perfectionist so you know the job will be done correctly. These jobs were done timely and he is affordable. I would recommend him and do to anyone needing drywall work done.

  • Impeccable Workmanship. On a scale of 1 to 10, we would give Don a 50 on his attention to detail. I am very hard to please because I want everything exactly perfect and I have had several bad contractor experiences because their attention to detail was just not as sharp as my expectations. Ohio Home Improvement exceeded our expectations on their communication and attention to detail. I would definitely hire them again.

  • Excellent. Communication is very important to me and they did not disappoint. They do it all - I don't need to call 4 different people to coordinate the job. Mike was on top of everthing, making my life easier. Everything was done professionally and in a timely manner. They cleaned up every day when they were done and everything looks AMAZING. I will definitely call on them again in the future when I am in need of services.

  • Nick was terrific! He was professional, prompt, clean and produced high-quality work. We were especially impressed by how quickly he was able to complete the job as well as his attention to detail. We highly recommend Nick and would hire him again without hesitation.

  • Dan and Wayne did an amazing job. We starting getting quotes last summer and quickly decided on Alustrius as having the best combination of price and quality and trustworthiness. We'd never done any renovations before and felt like Dan would not steer us wrong. Between his busy schedule and my inability to make choices about what I wanted, it took a while to actually get started, but we were not on a deadline. Dan provided great guidance as we made choices on everything to cabinetry, counter and shower surfaces, fixtures, flooring and lighting. He has a preferred shower head, toilet, and shower light/fan combo, all of which worked with what I wanted. For everything else, he guided me to 1-2 providers from which I had to choose amongst hundreds of options. When I floundered, Dan was happy to share his thoughts and also referred me to get advice from the people at the flooring shop and the from the great guy who built the cabinetry. Once all the choosing was done, Dan got to work. He was very worried about the fact that this was our only bathroom and assured me that we would have at least a toilet almost every night. I work from home and was able to use a neighbor's toilet during the daytime! From start to finish the whole job took 2 weeks and 2 days. The tear out took the first day - I was amazed how quickly you can tear apart a bathroom! They hauled away all the debris each night. Because I work from home, and am on the phone all day, Dan warned me about particularly loud things about to happen, which was great. Dan's goal was to get the new walk-in shower done as quickly as possible so we could bathe once more. Because one of the panels of cultured granite cracked, it took until Friday, but the new shower is amazing! He built it out a bit wider than our old shower/tub combo, and added a wall in front of half for more privacy, better stability for the bench at that end, and to allow space to place a cabinet. I cannot say enough about how much I love the new shower. It is spacious, well-lit, and lovely dark gray granite look. And the fan/light fixture he installed (replacing an ancient fan that had no suction, made a ton of noise, and was improperly vented into the attic) is so quiet and works so well! Our mirror never fogs up even when my teenaged son takes his LONG showers! All week long, Dan and his colleague Wayne were using the driveway, porch and garage to cut things, assemble things etc. They took care to protect our things in all these places as well as in the house, where they spread drop cloths each day in all the areas where they would need to walk. The next big piece of work was to install the sub-floor and a layer of 1/8" drywall over the very cracked 1929 plaster. That got started during the first week, and finished off Monday of week two. The bathroom went from looking like a tornado had ripped through it to very sleek and trim. also on Monday, Wayne laid out the tile to figure out the pattern and cut pieces as needed. We had chosen to create a border of small 2x2" squares 3 deep all around, filled in with 12x12" squares of the same white/gray marble look ceramic tiles. Wayne laid the tile on Tuesday and we needed to stay away that night since he could not reinstall the toilet while it set - same thing Wednesday as the grout set. Wayne was so conscientious - the pattern looks amazing! Thursday they got the new toilet installed, as well as painting the walls a gorgeous turquoise blue and put in all the new cabinetry. This old house has so few closets, that even thou I do have a nice big linen closet, I went a bit mad with cabinet possibilities. Besides the vanity, we also got a tall cupboard to go in front of the new wall they built in front of the shower and a small cupboard to attach to the wall above the toilet. All are finished in a gray paint and the doors are carved with lines in a design reminiscent of Art Deco. By the end of the week the sink was in. All that was left for the following week was to finish painting the trim and installing the baseboards (which were all carefully cut to go around the legs of the vanity and tall cabinet) and installing the light fixture above the sink. The glass in the light was cracked so Dan assured me he would be back when the replacement came in (and he was back as promised a few days later to make the trade). By mid-afternoon Tuesday we were all set with our beautiful new powder room. I could not be more pleased.

  • Steve responded to my purchase within a few days and quickly set up a time for the estimate. Although the cost was more than I expected, as I mentioned before, this would have been a challenging task for me to do. In addition to what I wanted done, I added having the ceiling painted. Steve was able to schedule when I had time off rather than when he originally offered. The day the work was done, the crew of three showed up promptly and got right to work. They covered everything with drop cloths and did a thorough job cleaning up after they were finished on the second day. The paper was removed, the drywall was repaired where needed, the ceiling was painted, and two coats of paint were applied to the walls. All outlet covers put back and the vertical blinds were rehung. I am very pleased with the end result.

  • Mike Eid and his team of professionals were always very prompt and courteous throughout the process. From the initial consultation through completion of the project, Mike and his team always kept us informed and in the loop on everything that was to be completed for each week of the project. Mikes team leader, Don Kapper and Shawn were on the job site from day one. They're professionalism and attention to detail from destruction through completion shined through on every facet of the project. I would highly recommend Ohio Home Improvement to anyone looking for a beautiful new space that anyone would be proud to show off to family and friends. GREAT WORK GUYS!!!

  • Everything went well. Randy always had suggestions and improvements to my ideas and his crew has been incredibly knowledgable. They're kind to my pets and to the many questions my son has. I will use them again.

  • The day he was supposed to show up at 8am, he didn't show up or call so I called him and left a message. When I called a 2nd time he picked up and said that he had an emergency with his fiance in the ER and he said that he sent me an email at about 4am, which was true. However, I would've expected a phone call or a text on such a short notice, but since there was an emergency, I could give some leniency. He emailed to reschedule and we set up another day for an 8am appointment. The same thing happened, no show no call. I called him twice and left a message both times and he finally called me back around 9:30am and said that Angie's List should have contacted me to inform me that the deal couldn't be used for the work I wanted to have done. So I cancelled the deal with Angie's list and got a refund without any trouble and will go with another contractor. Ultimately I gave the poor rating because he didn't show up and he didn't call me to let me know either time.

  • From initial consultation, planning, estimate to completion of work (4 weeks) to follow up, every interaction was positive, professional, and caring. Damian, the owner and the entire team of Spot-On Home Improvements were pleasant, provided great communication - keeping me well informed as to progress as well as offering suggestions & options where appropriate. They were considerate, and always made sure to clean-up every day and explain to me exactly what would be completed the following day. The entire team is talented and a pleasure to work with. Damian takes pride in the work he & his team complete. There is a high level of integrity and a strong work ethic present in this company. I also felt valued and appreciated as a customer - which is very important to me. I felt totally comfortable not always being at home as the work was completed - they are trustworthy. Damian leads his team with a sense of passion and purpose - it is not just a job, but a mission to provide the most quality work and excellent customer service possible.
