AWe had this company come out to level a 72" set of concrete precast steps, and also a long front walk slab. The steps were sinking and beginning to lean away from the porch, and had about a 2-3 inch gap from the porch before the work was started. The workers arrived today (just a week after estimating) and the work was done quickly, and looks excellent. Another company had told us they could not do precast steps, being as they are hollow. R Greene said they could do precast steps that sit on a slab - but my husband thought these might be seated on long concrete or stone blocks. At any rate, the estimator looked at them and said they could be leveled, (drat -I forgot to ask whether there were blocks or a slab under the steps after all). Anyway, we were pleased that this company undertook the job with confidence. I did not watch the work, so I am not sure if they mud-jacked the steps or did something additional to that, but I was amazed at how fast they finished (30 minutes, maybe?). There was a slight issue with our having wooden stair rails, built against the steps, that have some rot at their base, which they thought at first might have to be, or should have been removed. I gave them permission to pull down the rails, if necessary, however, they managed to work around them, which I very much appreciated. That will have to be the next repair on our list. Also, I was pleased that our clam shell imprinted slab did not crack, being as the indents are pretty deep. It all looks very good now, and the steps feel much safer to climb. Thank you!- Karen M.

AThe crew that came out to do the work were very professional. They kept the work area clean throughout the project. When we had questions, they explained how the process worked and what to expect when they finished the job. We've worked with other basement waterproof companies that took our deposit then kept pushing the work back. The Basement Guys gave us an estimated time on when work would start and kept to that date within reason. I'd hire them again to do waterproofing.- Sheila V.

FI usually don’t like to waste my time writing reviews, but I’m compelled to write one because my experience with this contractor was an absolute nightmare. The problem is, they make their prospective clients sign a contract that allows the contractor to breach it with no liability if they determine that they “accidentally” misquoted the job to be performed. This is troubling given that their standard practice essentially allows them to sign as many contracts as they can and selectively choose which contracts to perform and breach the remaining contracts they can’t perform or don’t want to perform without incurring any liability. Please read their contract carefully. So here’s my story: I signed a contract with their salesman in November to work on my basement finishing. The salesman ambitiously promised that it would be finished before Christmas. However, I had to call them and send several messages in the middle of December because no one was coming by my house to start the job. After several weeks of no response, I finally got a hold of the vice president, Steve, who visited us to take a look at our basement. His initial excuse was that it was too cold to start work and proposed to start work in February. Nevertheless, I remained patient until early February, but again, no one came by my house to perform the job. I had to contact the contractor several times again until someone I finally got someone to visit us. This time, the contractor demanded an additional $1,530 for their allegedly misquoted estimate which I reluctantly accepted and also asked for another $6,000 for flooring which I declined. I told them, I would do flooring on my own. Despite, paying the contractor for the allegedly misquoted estimate, no one came by my house to perform the job. I contacted them several times again, and in early March, they finally informed me that there are still several discrepancies, so they recommended me to find another contractor. I wasted more than three months with this contractor. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Find someone else.- Sam P.

AThey gave us a recommendation of 4 days and actually got it done in 2 1/2 days. They did an excellent job of cleaning up, they were not suppose to seed and mulch, but I went and got the materials, and they finished up for. They were more then willing to help coordinate with other projects and got things done. I highly recommend.- Danny R.

ASince we only had a few days before we were moving in, I looked up providers online and picked Ray based on the reviews. Ray was able to schedule me in for that week, which took so much stress off my plate! Ray and his team showed up right on the dot, and got to work quickly. He walked me through the basement and pointed out what he would do, including changing out all the dim bulbs for brighter ones, which made a huge difference in the space. They also carried out a lot of junk the previous owners had left behind, including breaking down a splintering wooden work bench that was too big to move through the door. He and his crew were polite and friendly. They got the job done in around 4 hours and got the basement sparkling clean. No cobwebs, mud, mystery stains, or dead bugs! I love how my basement looks and I am no longer grossed out by walking downstairs! My husband was blown away when he saw it that evening. I have only lived in new construction up until this point and I don't think I've ever had a cleaner basement - something I never thought I'd say about this place!- Samantha F.

FHe was OK for about a week and then no longer returned my calls and got a bit hostle at one point. Our basement floor is torn up (concrete jack hammered out) and he never came back. I called for weeks with no response. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! He seems great at first and then just disappears. We now have to pay another company to finish the work.- Lichelle C.

ARandy and his team are a class act! It is refreshing to find people who take pride in their work and do it as if they were working on their own home. They were professional and polite and each day they completely cleaned up the work site. They did a great job and I highly recommend him to anyone.- Mark H.

AExcellent work. Extremely professional and diligent. They dug out dozens of gigantic tree roots that were undermining our FLA room and cracked the cement floor and blocks. Poured new floor and helped to settle the bowing in the wall and window. We are very pleased.- Al M.
