Basement Waterproofing reviews in Copley

    Pioneer Basement Solutions
Excellent experience every step of the way. Every employee I talked to was courteous and respectful, and they all went out of their way to keep my house clean. The crew leader Gami was great, and very polite and helpful. I thought the price was very fair (having gotten three bids). Top notch organization all around. Highly recommended.

    UNIFIED CONSTRUCTION SYSTEMS LTD
Avoid this company, they perform substandard
work, damaged our property, and refuse to correct their mistakes.
    We hired United Waterproofing
Systems to seal a crack in our basement wall.
Upon completion of the job, the crack still leaked.  We contacted the company and they stated that
a supervisor (Galen) would come out and look at it "when they had a
chance".  My wife and I had a trip
to the west coast scheduled for the next day so we agreed to touch base with
    them when we returned home.
    Upon returning home, we noticed
several spots of epoxy on our hardwood floor between the entrance to the
basement and the garage door.  Following
the trail of epoxy drips down the basement stairs to the finished portion of
the basement, we found nearly 100 drips of cured epoxy on the walls and carpet
leading to the repair site.  Needless to
say, we were not happy with finding our brand new carpet damaged in this
manner.  We notified the company of the
damage to the house but were brushed off and told it was not their problem.
We finally convinced them to come
back out and at least make an attempt to fix the still leaking wall.  When they arrived, we also showed them the
damage to the carpet and the walls.  Upon
inspection, the Supervisor declared that the epoxy could not be from them as it
was blue in color and they used a translucent product with a brown hue.  This observation ignores two critical
facts.  First that it was dripped onto
blue carpet, giving it a blue appearance.
Second, the drips on the painted wall are brown in color, just as he
described. My wife even had the repair technician drip some on carpet and
hardwood samples and the resulting spots appear identical to the damage to the
    actual flooring.
In the end, the company has refused
to discuss repair or replacement of the damaged property that they have
caused.  Our only recourse at this time
will be through the court system.
To top it off, our wall still
leaks.  Do yourself a favor and avoid
this company and its subsidiaries.  We
have dealt with several contractors in this area that have been great to work
with but this organization may be the worst one we have ever dealt with.

    Integrity Waterproofing
My wife and I recently purchased our first home.  We planned to refinish the basement and when we removed the drywall we discovered small cracks in our concrete walls.  Needless to say we were very concerned.  After countless hours of research we discovered Integrity's website.  We appreciated the company's approach to foundation repair and waterproofing and we noticed that they had received Angie's List's Super Service Award for the past decade. We joined Angie's List just so we could look at previous customer' reviews and were shocked to see that they were exceedingly positive.  We called Integrity the next day and set up a time for them to come look at our basement.  The owner of the company (Steve) came out and walked us through a very thorough inspection. - Here is where the company really lives up to it's name. - My wife and I were noticeably nervous about the condition of our basement and Steve could tell. He could have easily recommended a costly/unnecessary approach and had us running to max out our credit cards. Instead he informed us that the structure was fine and that he didn't believe repair was necessary at this time.  In fact he stated that, "if this were my home I wouldn't be worried." Now that's what I call integrity!! This guy drove all the way out to our house, spent time inspecting our foundation and provided us with an honest opinion instead of scaring us into purchasing a service we don't need.... My wife and I have since decided to hold off on refinishing the basement. We want the peace of mind of having it waterproofed CORRECTLY before moving forward. We will definitely hire Steve and his crew to do the waterproofing when the time comes. They are very reasonably priced and use the best techniques and materials available.

    Hart Masonry & Waterproofing Inc
After a previous attempt to resolve our basement issues with an inept contractor, it was refreshing to deal with a contractor who knew their business, were extremely professional, used quality materials, and were efficient. The crew showed up every day (weather permitting) and worked nonstop all day digging along our basement walls by hand. Although it is messy work, they did their best to keep it contained and tried to save as much of our landscaping as possible. It has been a week since the work was completed, and our basement already feels dryer.

    All American Basement Waterproofing
The owner’s name is Mike and there was an issue with one of his employees who was a salesman, and he came out originally. This guy ended up stealing the job from All American and he was the guy who was our problem. So, there were actually two companies involved. All American did the job, completed it and did it right. The second guy used to work for them and he got fired. His company’s name is WR Given Construction Company, and this was the guy who was doing business under All American’s name; I am planning to take this guy to the small claims court to get my money back. The owner Mike stepped up and took care of it when he found out what was going on. He is a good guy and did the right thing, it’s hard for me to say, but after all the mix up that went on I probably would not use them in the future.

    Mid Ohio Basement Solutions
I had Mid-Ohio come out to inspect a moisture issue in my basement prior to finishing the basement. It involved Mid-Ohio coming out twice (two separate contracts). The first trip it involved external waterproofing of the front of my house and installation of the air ventilation system. The crew showed up right at 8 AM and began the work and cleaned up very nicely. The second trip involved getting waterproofing done along the side of my house and installation the interior water proofing panels. The second job originally was quoted to inspect/waterproof a section down to the footer, but once they realized there was no need...they waterproofed their normal depth and dealt with the root cause (air conditioner tilting towards the house) and re-pitched the drain pipe along the house. I revised my grading after noting Rob's response.  It should have been an A in the first place. Thanks.

    Ohio Basement Systems
To make a long story short, the interior waterproofing procedure performed by BSO did not fix the water problems at all. The salesman recommended the incorrect approach to solve our water problem. The basement already had a working interior waterproofing/drainage system, which he said wasn't working. What the basement really needed was the outside foundation excavated, repaired and re-waterproofed due to the corrosion of the existing, original material used 30 years prior. I must say, the crew at BSO that did the work was very professional, prompt and courteous. The technician that came out to service the water problems after it was installed wanted to solve the problem by drilling holes into our concrete block walls to allow the water to enter their system. Other than this bizarre "fix", which we refused, the company itself has not given me any problems with trying to collect or blame me for anything. I would imagine they realized their salesman was at fault in his recommendation. Thankfully, after filing claims with our credit card company, the attorney general's office and the Better Business Bureau, we were issued a full refund through our credit card company. We have since had the proper outside waterproofing procedure done by another company and have not had any water problems.

    Integrity Waterproofing
The procedure went very smooth. Steve truly proved his integrity from the first day we met him. He was very supportive of us and our situation. The crew was prompt and courteous and treated us with respect. The job site was well-kept, they cleaned up after themselves, and they completed the job in a very timely fashion. I waited for over a year to "rate" Steve - just to make sure the basement held up through all the Ohio seasons. I inspect every inch of the walls every time it rains, the snow thaws, etc. So, as for the water in the basement - there is none! We are now looking into getting our basement finished so we can enjoy it once again. I would highly recommend Steve Allen and Integrity Waterproofing.

    GARRETT BASEMENT WATERPROOFING
After receiving quotes from three different companies and then comparing both pricing and BBB ratings, we chose Garret Basement as being the best of the three. John Garrett was quite friendly. He provided a detailed explanation of what he was going to do and how it compared to others. While I was hesitant to have any of the work done given how minor the leak was, John explained the overall benefits and pointed out that it was better to be safe than sorry when it comes to basement issues. He showed up when promised and was done in a timely fashion. We are happy with the work and now just need for it to rain to see if everything is operating properly.
