    Lake East Hospital
We will never go here again. There was dust on the equipment. They never did the correct procedures. My wife saw a technician verbally abuse another patient. They lost me in the queue. They didn't contact our insurance company like they were supposed to.

There was some confusion with whether or not the COBRA coverage would be ending or could be renewed, and when the COBRA people finally got back to us and answered our questions, we learned that the COBRA policy was not renewable.  Needless to say, we became frantic about finding alternative coverage.  We had thought we could stay with the same company as the COBRA coverage but they wanted even more than what we had been paying for the COBRA coverage and it was already high.  So we got on Angie's List and found Jesse.  We called him, left a message, and he called back within the hour.  He asked questions and led us through the whole process.  As we filled out the application, we called him a number of times with questions, and he answered them on the spot.  He is always polite and professional . . . and very easy to talk to.  We are very very grateful to him for all his help.  He definitely deserves an A+ rating.

LAKE EAST HOSPITAL SYSTEM EMERGENY ROOM
It was our first trip to the emergency room, and overall I thought it went well. We waited only about 10 minutes until the first nurse brought us in and took a history. She showed us to a bed, where another nurse checked the cut. The doctor saw us after about a 20 minute wait. He confirmed that it would need stitches, and proceeded to prepare and numb the area. At that point, we had the longest wait as we had to wait for the area to become numb. Once it was numb, he came back and stitched the wound closed. We did a little bit more waiting at that point for our discharge instructions. I think we spent about 2 1/2 to 3 hours total at the hospital. The doctor and nurses were all kind and reassuring to a shy, scared child. Insurance covered the full cost of the visit. Charges billed were $544.90 for pharmacy/emergency room, $428.00 for closure of wound, and $212 for night visit/emergency services.

They were good. I did not have to wait long at all. They took me right into a room almost immediately. They took great care and I am happy with their services.

    Lake East Hospital
They gave me excellent care, except sometimes I had to wait for the nurses but that might be at any hospital.
