  • We received a quote from Rich, accepted it and he sent a crew to start work. Removal of the old deck boards went fine, but in putting the new deck on, Rich used inferior quality boards (there is a knothole in EVERY board), a molding at the front door was broken and not replaced, boards were already loose at the door area within a week. In talking to Rich at the beginning, he said he would use use screws to attach the new decking but his people used staples. We needed 2 handrails on the steps, but only got one. We needed to have the back of the steps enclosed and he agreed, but this never got done. We talked with Rich extensively beforehand about the height of the railings - we needed to contain dogs and we agreed that railings would be situated 2" above the deck. Railings are 4" above deck. The gate apparently needs more support since it does not close properly. The bottom of the deck was enclosed using leftover pieces of wood which might have been ok except that they left them unfinished and uneven and they look bad. Repeated promises to come and fix all the mistakes - no action.

  • Our home (17 years old) is a 3200 sq. ft. home in an admired
development. We discovered that the west wall of our basement was leaning in
    about 4?.
We had experienced wet basement block on three of the walls (never
any water) along with vertical cracks and horizontal cracks. I called out a
home inspector who identified and noted the problems.
We went to Angies?s list to find a creditable and
trustworthy contractor to address the problem we also had highly advertised competitors
estimate the job but found that they were salesmen and not the actual contactor
    that would be on site.
Bill Clink (Owner) came out and immediately I was impressed with
his knowledge, credentials, and straight forward approach.
We signed a contact and within the agreed time frame they
were on site doing the job. His crew was excellent, respectful of the property,
worked exceptionally hard, and continually kept me informed of the progress.
They brought in the heavy equipment to dig the trench and worked themselves completely
around three sides of our home? Removing the clay and replacing it with proper
stone, putting in a new drain tile. They hauled away all of the old clay. It
was a very large operation taking two weeks.
They straightened the West wall that was leaning in and reinforced
it with rebar and cement fill down the internal opening of the block. They regraded
the plantings and put a toping of topsoil that we then could replant our
I was impressed that every night they cleaned (power washed)
the driveway and cleaned the site.
It is an emotional event to have your home disrupted like
this. Bill Clink was on site 80% of the time and his son was on site 100% of the
time. It was an asset to have a family run business.
I have recommended Bill Clink Builders to others and would recommend
Bill Clink Builders to anyone in need of a basement contractor.
The test came this spring when we had a day of exceptional
rain (3 inches) and the basement was dry, and the sump pump worked flawlessly.

  • Everything went well with both projects. Jeff was punctual when he came out for estimates. His foreman Ric was also punctual on the work days - if he, his workers, or their subcontractors had a change of schedule he would let us know right away. The deck landing was one in 2 days - 1 for demo and 1 for construction. The plumbing, electrical, and installation for the washer and dryer took about a half-day for each. The primary workers and the subcontractors all made sure the work area was clean and organized between work days and upon completion. Lost Pond is a little pricier than others but I would say it was definitely worth it. If all goes well we hope to use them again in spring/summer for a kitchen and floor remodel.

  • Kevin was excellent to work with.  He is professional, honest and very detail-oriented .  As stated above, they removed part of our deck, installed new footings, new decking and built a screened porch.  Because of our roof line, tying into it was very difficult; however, the architect Kevin works with, Ken, did an outstanding job with the design.  The finished product looks like it was built with the house.  We couldn't be more happy.  The craftsmen, Marvin and his son Matthew were excellent.  They came on time, worked hard and were perfectionists.  The ceiling installed was tongue and groove which Kevin recommended.  It looks fantastic.   Kevin also recommended a product called EZ Breeze which allows us to close the room during inclement weather so rain nor snow gets in.  When closed it looks like a finished room with windows.    I wish we could include pictures of the finished room so everyone could see the fantastic job they did.    We would definitely recommend Leisure Space.

  • These guys did a great job.  This deck looks fantastic.  Over the course of three working days, our old deck was torn down and removed and the new deck was built.  They were very prompt in beginning the work.  Don Borowske and his entire crew are no-nonsense, straightforward individuals who are professional and easy to communicate with.  They are all very approachable if you have questions or issues needing discussion.

  • I have been using Hinchcliffe Landscape for over 7 years. They installed my entire new landscape (front and back yard), and my flagstone patio when I built my home. They have come out every Spring and Fall since that time. He is very professional, provides excellent service, arrives when he says he will, and I never have to worry that something will not be done right. I would absolutely recommend him. You get the quality that you pay for with this company.

  • They came out as promised for quote.  I received a email quote the same day, and an  agreeable start date.  They came out to review the job with the foreman and owner.  They worked hard with no breaks and completed the job in 2 days.  I had some issues to address and they took care of them in a timely fashion.

  • I had purchased an Angies List Coupon in May knowing I would have my decke and shutters done this summer. Mr. Kiss came out promptly and gave me an estimate of charges to do the work and a time-frame to do it . in the meantime I got 3 other estimates from more local painting contractors and prices came in about $300 lower. I was in a quandry as how to handle this as I had already purchased the $199 coupon and his price was $300 higher. I called Mr. Kiss and explained the situation that I didnt want to waste the $199 and if he would match the other estimates. He explained to me why his price may be higher with quality, service and customer satisfaction being some of the factors. To my delight he agreed to match the other estimates and I must say his man Robert came out and performed an outstanding job on our deck and shutters and would surely use his company again. I would caution people to get your estimates first before purchasing a coupon so you would not have the same experience as I.

  • Met with Luke and Andy to discuss design and price quote.  Luke and I went over construction details, ie material used, color, shape, beam size, joist spacing, fastener method, time frame, etc.  They brought deck material samples and colors and pictures of previous jobs.  They even gave me the address of a job they had just completed within the development and we visited the site.  While Luke and I spoke, Andy worked on the design on his laptop creating a 3D rendering of the finished deck showing whatever color I wanted to see.  They had first measured the back of the house so that the drawing would fit exactly with our house.  That gave a nice visual of different shapes, sizes and colors of the deck with our specific house.
They were knowledgeable, courteous and invited questions.  We had begun our conversations at the Cleveland Home and Garden Show a couple of months earlier and I had seen sample decks of composite and pvc material.  They also build wood decks.
Construction began in May and went quickly with no unforseen problems and completed within their estimated timeframe.  During this time, I asked for a change in pergola mounting and a slightly larger bumpout for a new grille.  Each time they readily discussed the changes and incorporated them into the plan.  Luke was on the job each day and has two other employees working with him.  All are friendly and will answer questions along the way.  I was impressed with the quality of the materials and the methods used and the craftsmanship displayed by the builders.  Overall their company performed in a very professional manner and we were very happy with the results.  They took  the plans and turned them into the deck of our dreams.

  • The job required a fair amount of custom carpentry to fit with the logs. They did a beautiful job and the new enclosure fits in extremely well with the rest of the home. We were pleased with the promptness and the professionalism of the staff and the installers. Overall, I'd highly recommend their services.
