Home Exteriors Roofing, Siding and Windows
Mark had been out the house several times for a quote.  He was the most sincere and kindest people when we asked him to come out repeatedly.  We had discovered issue after issue as we were only wanting to get the house reproofed.  It turned out that the house was not wrapped which led to a moisture issue.
In dealing with correcting the reason with the mold, Mark provided a simple solution as to why the mold was there and what we could do to prevent if from happening again.  Mark even provided us with a reference for mold remediation when he was completed with he job.
The job that expanded into a siding job then rolled into a replacement of OSB wood paneling as the window trim had reduced the OSB originally.  Mark came up with solutions to each hurdle we encountered and he didn't charge unfairly.  He is in business to earn a living like anyone else, and we didn't feel he was unreasonable for what he charged.
    He was fair.
    He was honest.
Not the cheapest, but reliable and reasonable.

    Stark's Refinishing Inc
I got bids from this contractor and two others. I decided on Mike Starkey because he had done the same type of work for several others in the neighborhood and because his quote was more than $1000 lower than either of the others.

He gave me a verbal quote on the spot and followed it up with a written quote which stipulated that a $900 deposit was due up front (so that he could order the door and window assembly) and that I would choose and supply the storm door. He said to let him know when the storm door came in and he would pick it up for me on the scheduled installation day.

Mike and his niece (helper) arrived on time and started removing the old door and window assembly. He asked if my doorbell worked. When I said no, he tested it (bad unit) and said if I would go buy another one, he'd hook it up for me. Once the door was removed, he began the floor repair. He cut out the rotten section, installed joists and blocking under the floor to support the new floor section, then installed the new floor section. It works fine.

They installed the new door/window assembly and shimmed it so that it hung properly, then installed the storm door that I had purchased. We have had NO problems with any of Mike's work.

He seemed genuinely concerned about doing the job right but saving me money, too. We are very happy with the result.

    M S Puskus Custom Remodel
Comments: We live in a split level home that was a three bedroom house with a living room, dining room, kitchen, and large, open, "L"-shaped downstairs room. We needed another bedroom and a functional family room. Matt Puskus designed a functional living space that increased the value of our home. Matt added walls and a closet to create the space we needed. He also custom built a mantle for the fireplace and added ceiling fans/lights, making the spaces more comfortable and beautiful!

    M S Puskus Custom Remodel
Our kitchen was dark and dreary, with dark cabinets and minimal lighting. It was also inefficiently designed with a lack of counter and cabinet space. Matt designed and remodeled our kitchen so that it is now brighter and more spacious, including a large pass through window and counter between the kitchen and dining room. He painted walls and cabinets to coordinate with the dining room and lighten both spaces. He added white tile on the back splash along the counter behind the appliances which also brighted the kitchen. Additionally, he installed the white ceiling fan and light and white cabinet knobs to enhance the lighter look and feel of the room. My favorite features are the custom designed cabinets. They are one of a kind, functional, and beautiful! I love my new kitchen!

    The House Doctors
After several cancellations from both electrical person as well as general carpentry/repair screens/fix wooden ramp individuals showed. Satisfied with electrical work as well as screen repair, but will not use again due to difficulty with getting them to complete other work or fix work done. Owner clearly does not like to do business with women.

    Remedie's Home Services
He does painting, electrical, plumbing, dry wall, carpentry and furniture refinishing. Larry is very detailed oriented and as a result, makes very minimal mistakes. Very punctual and does exactly what he says he's going to do. He's very good about seeing a problem and finding the correct solution, especially on an older home. He has the foresight to see alternative items. His pricing is very reasonable (this is the 3rd century home that I've renovated, and by far the most reasonable!) He gives free estimates in Cuyahoga Lake and Geauga County.

MORE THAN WILLING TO DO THE JOB I NEEDED DONE EVEN THOUGH IT WAS A SMALL ONE. HE ARRIVED ON TIME, EXPLAINED IN FULL DETAIL WHAT HE WAS GOING TO DO AND SHOWED ME THE MATERIALS HE WAS GOING TO USE. WHEN HE HAD QUESTIONS HE CALLED ME AT WORK TO CONFIRM HE WAS DOING THE RIGHT THING. THE END PRODUCT WAS BEAUTIFUL-EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR!!!

Jims Quality Painting and General remodeling
Very pleased with results. He not only was a great painter, his repairs to drywall, carpentry work and neatness was more than expected. And this response is coming from a very picky person.
