    Custom Concrete Plus
    Getting the owner out there for a quote went very smooth. We were a little further out on the project than I wanted but it was to be expected since it was the busy season. The owner is a very easy going person and is pleasant to work with. Once the project was completed we were very happy with how it turned out. We were told to reseal the concrete every two years but after just a year it was wearing away and the concrete was losing its color. Tried to get in contact with the owner for a month and couldn't get a response. After leaving a response via Facebook he finally emailed back and said sunlight and weather can cause it to fade quicker. That made sense so I asked him if he would be able to come out and give a price on resealing it and still haven't gotten a response back. That was over 2 months ago. Him and his crew do good work but if there is something you have a concern/problem with dont expect a speedy response or a response at all.

    The project did NOT go well. We were promised a quality product in a timely manner - neither of which was done acceptably. The crew often arrived late, worked a few hours, took 2+ hour lunch breaks, and didn't show up some days when scheduled. One day, they spent hours working on one of the crew member's car, that wouldn't run, instead of working on our pool. The supervisor, Sam, said he'd be out every day of the project, but only showed up on day 1, and then again, much later, only after problems arose. The owner, Steve Gold, lied about several things, one being that he said he'd throw in a solar cover, which he never did. He also refused to winterize our pool and install our safety cover, which we paid for in the original cost of the pool. He said he wouldn't send anyone out to do this unless we paid him an additional cost and signed off that we were satisfied with our pool, which we refused to do. We had to hire another pool company to do it. When the hole for the pool was dug, the crew didn't bring caution tape, stakes or construction fencing to secure the area. My husband used his own wooden stakes and caution tape to mark the construction area. Later, I went out and purchased orange construction fencing and attached it to the wooden fence my husband built around the yard. We were never reimbursed. It took the crew weeks to get all of our equipment hooked up properly, such as the pump, heater, and lights. We were told our pump hose would be hooked into a pipe underground, connecting to the sewer system, and when we asked Steve Gold about this, he said he never said he'd do that and that it wasn't in the contract. The backwash hose wasn't glued onto the pump, so every time we had to backwash the pool, we had to hold the hose securely in place while the water went all over our yard. Finally, one of the crew members came back out to hook it up properly, after several complaints were made to Mr. Gold, the supervisor Sam, and the crew. When installing the concrete sidewalk around the pool, the crew worked so slowly that the cement dried and they couldn't finish the entire sidewalk/walkway. They finished the section of the sidewalk by bringing in bagged concrete. The bagged concrete was a different texture and color, and didn't match the rest of the concrete. The crew also used bagged concrete to patch their mistakes on the rest of the sidewalk/walkway, so the final product looked uneven, patchy, and just plain awful. The crew splattered concrete on the white fiberglass steps when pouring concrete and never cleaned it off. The splatters are still there today. Also, when dumping rocks around the pool into the sidewalk frame before pouring the concrete, they accidentally dumped rocks into the pool (after the liner was installed and the pool was filled), and never got them out (or even acknowledged that they did it). My daughter, niece, husband and I had to get them out. So unprofessional! Again, Steve Gold would not take care of the problem unless we signed off that we were happy with our pool. When my husband communicated with him via text/phone calls, Mr. Gold was very unprofessional, blamed us for the many problems, and even cussed at my husband. He made several excuses instead of solving the problems, and even tried to use his mother's recent passing as a way to influence/strong arm us. Because the crew installed our pool at a higher elevation, our yard is now very uneven and has areas of ponding/standing water when it rains. When this was brought to Mr. Gold's attention, he said that Mega Pools Warehouse was NOT responsible for landscaping. We assured him that this never happened prior to their pool installation and grading the yard properly was in fact their responsibility, since they're the ones who cause this problem. We asked for fill dirt to be brought in and our yard to be leveled/graded properly. Mr. Gold refused and would not acknowledge our texts and phone calls. When Mr. Gold decided to "do us a favor" and FINALLY send someone to grade the yard, the equipment operator made the grading worse, causing more areas of standing water in our yard, and now our neighbor's yard. No fill dirt was brought in. The equipment operator also took the excess gravel/rocks surrounding the pool and spread it throughout our yard. Then, he took dirt from the back of our yard (slight hill) to cover the rocks, thinking he'd "solved the problem". By doing this, he exposed tree roots and left a steep slope in the back of our yard. After the first rain, all of the gravel/rocks came to the surface of our yard. (The equipment operator also went through our neighbor's yard, which was permitted, but then cracked a section of their sidewalk with his backhoe, unbeknownst to us while he was still here working.) When we called to complain, Mr. Gold said he was done with our project and had done more for us than he had for any other customer. When we continued to contact him to seek a solution, he sent the SAME GUY back out to our house to take out the rocky soil and replace it with topsoil. There was still no additional dirt brought in; it was an even exchange of dirt; 2 loads of rocky dirt exchanged for 2 loads of topsoil. After the guy worked all day, our yard still lacked for dirt, had slopes, and wasn't level. When it rained again, the ponding water was still there and had spread to other areas of the yard. When we called and texted Mr. Gold again, he refused to fix the yard any further. Because of all of the issues we kept having, my husband finally had to tell Mr. Gold, Sam, and the crew that they were not permitted to work at our house without notifying him first, getting his approval on what was being done, and scheduling the project when he was home. Mr. Gold said we were standing in the way of getting things done, when in fact, we wanted to be present to oversee what the crew was doing, since they had made made so many errors previously. My husband is a firefighter and works every third day, so he is able to be home quite often throughout the week. This company does NOT deliver a quality product! We were told by the owner, Steve Gold, that we would be satisfied customers when our project was done, but we definitely are not, and he refuses to make his wrongs right. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. We have had to pay additional companies to finish the jobs we paid Mega Pools Warehouse, Inc. to do from the start, per our contract and verbal agreement. We are beyond frustrated and disappointed with this company, its owner, supervisor and crew. What was meant to be a fun, pleasant experience has turned into a nightmare and expense beyond what we paid Mega Pools Warehouse, Inc. We have contacted an attorney regarding our contract with Mega Pools Warehouse, Inc./Steve Gold. We would like Mr. Gold to pay for the costs of the following items: solar cover, construction fencing, fill dirt, grading of yard by a professional excavator, pool closing/ safety cover installation, concrete fixed properly. That is the fair, honest, and honorable thing to do, in our opinion.

    I met with him to discuss filling in a small section of an area that was just grass and useless. He showed me some pictures of his work and and told me what he thought would look nice (which was because I was unsure of what I really wanted). He then gave me a date of when he would be starting the job which was about a month out. He called a week early and had the job done in about a week. It has changed the entire appearance of the house. I have had so many people stop and tell me how much they love the patio and how good of job that he has done.
