I don't recommend this doctor.  If you are in a palliative state of condition, perhaps.  If you want to feel better, I agree with the other reviews.  I was referred to him by my former spinal physician.  I have informed them of his patient manner and they will not be referring other patients to him.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
I saw him for two reasons.  Spinal degeneration and neck (finally diagnosed after 4 months by him).  Only 6 times (2nd time with a Physician's Assistant who is no longer there - lots of turnover/reduction in staff).  Received a 2nd opinion from another doctor and he was very condescending toward the other doctors (who are world reknown) that I saw.  When you receive a 2nd opinion, any doctor that respects their practice and medicine, does not belittle someone with more experience and, in general, agreed with his diagnosis.  He never looked at my MRI's.  I know because I had the only copies printed with me.  He just read the analysis that was scanned into his computer by his nurse while I was at my appointment.  He said I needed an epidural on my neck.  I scheduled and because of my hectic work schedule called to postpone one week prior and asked if this is okay.  Was told by the receptionist that this was fine.  This was also on the outbreak of the meningitis scare.  That same day, he sent out a letter to me saying that I was no longer in his care.  I had violated my agreement with their firm.  My primary physician prescribed physical therapy (which he never offered) and I am doing fine.  I have a new pain management MD (not DO) and he is kind and listens.  I go by the rules, I do not and have never taken anything not prescribed to me.  I also had to pay for my own urine analysis because they were out of insurance network - not sure this legal.  His manner seems like he is having a bad day every day.  His staff (commented by the MRI staff) is 'strange and slow'.  Very happy with my new doctor.

I went to him for a whole year and he is a frightening person. He's very demeaning and my husband started accompanying me because Dr. Bourn became increasingly agitated at our appointments and I became fearful that he would harm me because of his mannerisms and arrogance. It's not just that I don't like this doctor but people need to know how he is. I've changed doctor's and the one that I go to n...

Dr Bourn's office violated client confidentiality several ways: I could hear discussions about patients and their illnesses. There were client files all over. I could see computer screens. When I commented about security of my records and data Dr Bourn got belligerent and said he didn't want to see me. The treatment he suggested was not applicable. He didn't even look at my x-rays and didn't diagn...
