    A & M TAILORING & CLEANERS
The service for some basic tailoring and cleaning took a week. First of all, the garments I had cleaned were not cleaned or steamed well. The jacket, where light spots were noted for cleaning still had the same marks after cleaning. A dress I received back was not steamed very well, the bow was still creased in the back. But most importantly, the bag my garments were sent home in was dirty with brown mud spots and torn open at the bottom. I'm an extremely meticulous small business owner. I own a vintage shop. So I placed my cleaned garments into a brand new clean, sealed canvas garment bag before leaving their store. Their plastic bag covering my clean clothes was dirty upon my inspection. I would not use this service ever again because the manager was unwilling to compromise or work with me to make that situation right. She did not make any attempt to make it right despite my suggestions of a partial refund or cleaning a garment free of charge. Those are extremely reasonable requests for their mistake of sending my clean garments home in a dirty bag. The manager was argumentative and rude in regards to the dirty bag which is really a shame. Lastly, for the most basic tailoring job, a small split on a seam of a skirt (I received back a week later,) was done with uneven, visible, sloppy hand-stitching and that repair created an unsightly small bulge in the fabric. It looked horrible. I was actually literally shocked because they advertise as having a wonderful tailor. And I came to them specifically for their reviews on Google and Yelp! That's wild. (I will note that they did repair the skirt for me on the spot when this issue was brought to their attention, but I'm just astounded that it couldn't have been done right the first time.) And as for the dirty bag, they were not negotiable and dismissive. Overall, this was by far the worst experience I've ever had with a dry-cleaning service, and I'm shocked by the various five star reviews. I have used many services. There are definitely better, less expensive and more polite services in Cleveland. Look elsewhere! The most aggravating thing is that they are choosing to blame the company they work with "Rite Cleaners" for the mistake of the garment bag being dirty, and they are taking zero responsibility for it even though they are a dry-cleaning service and that is what they are advertising on their website ... They are advertising that they are trusted for cleaning wedding gowns and fine garments with meticulous care. No, they made it very clear to me that they don't actually care for the garments themselves, and therefore will take little responsibility for anything that happens to your garments while being cleaned. That is a form of misleading advertising as well. This makes them conveniently not responsible for anything that happens to your garments while not in their possession. They can blame Rite Cleaners, and they are actually forcing me to contact them myself instead of handling this situation through their own company which uses their services. For over an hour, I tried to give them every opportunity to make this situation right, and they blew my husband and me off. Beware. Slow. Dirty dry-cleaning bags. The worst simple, basic tailoring job I've ever seen. And poor customer service. Never again.

    Christina Catherine
Christina is a locally trained tailor, originally from the Brecksville area, who has a fashion degree from Kent State and worked with famed clothing designers in New York City before moving to Cleveland's Little Italy neighborhood to open her own shop. She does tailoring and alterations as well as custom design work. When working with her on my wedding dress & other wedding-related items, she was lovely to work with, providing helpful suggestions, quick measurements & pinning, a fast turnaround, & reasonable prices. She was incredibly easy to work with, and it's always a joy to hang out with her tiny dog, Mils, who's usually in the shop with her as she works. If you're looking for a talented local tailor who's likely to be in the area for years to come, Christina is your girl. I couldn't be happier with the work she's done for me in the lead-up to my wedding, & I'll definitely be back to her for smaller projects in the future.

    ANTROBUS DESIGNS
Pete listened to what I wanted, sketched ideas, modified plans to meet my goals, and applied his expertise to ensure the final design and product made sense structurally and aesthetically. They are perfect! I have attached a photo below. A trip to the store is well worth your time if you are looking for something lovely and lasting.

    Saxon Jewelers and Gemologists
Mr Saxon was wonderful!  I had asked a previous master jeweler about resizing my wedding ring and was told it too challenging to resize such a complex,  multimetal woven band.  Mr. Saxon got back to me quickly, set up an appointment and immediately confirmed that he would be able to fix it.  When I got it back it was perfect!  Beautiful work, seamlessly completed and I will be proud to wear it

    Amy R Roth & Co
She was excellent. She was very helpful in making suggestions. She promised it by a certain time and it was ready at that time. She offered to sew some little buttons on my shoes and without charging for it. It was a generally nice experience. I recommended her to my daughter.

    Fast Needle Milton's
I was so pleased with the work performed by this tailor. I had a ton of clothes that needed alteration -- some major, some minor. All came out beautifully, all pressed and ready to wear. The woman who fitted me was very friendly and knowledgeable. She was so fast, I was sure the alterations would be incorrect, but I was so wrong. They were all simply perfect. She gave me a date to expect the clothing to be done, and everything was ready on time. She took the time to explain what she was going to need to do with each article. If you're in the market for a great tailor, I highly recommend Fast Needle Milton's. In fact, I've already brought in more clothing to be altered.

    Fast Needle Milton's
I'm very pleased with how my clothes came out.  She made my pants the perfect length and repaired my skirt's hem line.  I can't tell that she did anything when I wear these items.  I will definitely return.

    Fast Needle Milton's
    Very poorly.
The first pair of pants i took in for tapering was asymmetric after the job. I took it back to her, and instead of apologizing/acknowledging, she immediately stated that the original pant legs were uneven and asymmetric to begin with, as she took off "equal amounts on each side". A conscientious tailor would have observed this issue both Before and After the job.
Second pair of pants, the tapering appeared slightly flared at the bottom as they straightened out, but she refused to acknowledge this and insisted "you are hard to please".
All my pants were ruined because she automatically just raised the crotch, causing a wedge in my back upon wearing them. She absolutely refused to appreciate this maintained a stubborn stance that she was right.  The wrong thing was done to my pants -- should have taken in the seat, NOT raise the crotch.
Also, I find her to be quite rude and non personable.
I ended up paying for all the services after an argument with her, and thankfully found myself an amazing tailor who had to repair all the work done at Fast Needle:
     - the pant crotches were lowered again, the the SEAT WAS TAKEN IN, which should have been done in the first place to get that fitted european style I wanted.

    SANDS CO JEWELERS
They are great to work with; they are so kind and sweet. They are an honest company and have affordable prices. They finished the worked in a timely fashion, the work was done correctly and I am still wearing the repaired jewelry.

    Fast Needle Milton's
My husband had a new suit that need altered, we checked Angie's List and found Milton's. He called to see if he needed an appointment and was told he didn't, we took the suit in the following day. It was exactly how you think it would go- put the suit on, pin it, and pay. It was probably not a complex alteration (I imagine she has done many, many suit alterations) but it was obvious she was a skilled seamstress. I'm assuming it was Tanya who helped us and she was very nice and helpful. I don't remember exactly how long the alterations took (maybe a week, or a little less?). It seemed a reasonable amount of time, and we weren't in a rush. The suit looks great and fits him perfectly now, exactly what we needed.
We had no idea where to go and Angie's List led us in the right direction. If we need other alterations in the future we'd definitely go back, and would recommend this business to anyone who needed alterations.
