    Grants Tree Service
They were great! They cut the brush back away from my house and trimmed all the trees away from my house. I couldn't believe how much better my house looked when they finished. I will definitely call them again. The men were very professional and made sure I was satisfied before they left. Thank you very much for a job well done.

    Tom Giffin Complete Tree Service
Mr. Giffen did not come to do the work. He sent other people who came in on a day that was not originally scheduled. They left before grounding out the big stump, left wood in disarray on the yard, only took out one tree from the bush on the opposite of the house and killed a number of my plants in the process of removing the big tree. When we called Mr. Giffen to discuss the need for further work to be done at the house, he stated that workers would come the next day to grind out the big stump. Workers did not post until 2 days later. We made numerous phone calls to Mr. Giffen to resolve the issues regarding undone work. He stopped answering our calls after worker ground out the big tree stump. As far as I am concerned, Mr. Giffen owes us $100 for work that wasn't done on the second side of the house. One of the workers insisted that my husband pay him in cash, which he did. At least we got a handwritten receipt that said payment had been made. Both my husband and I thought it was odd that we were requested to pay in cash. We wonder if the money was spent that night on who knows what. We have learned several lessons. Get a signed estimate and description of services to be rendered in writing. Insist on the contractor being at the job when services are rendered. Refuse to pay in cash. And don't pay anything until the work has been done to our satisfaction. By the way, on one of the followup phone calls to Mr. Giffen, he denied having agreed to do the additional tree removal on the other side of the house, even though we had increased his quote by $100. The older gentleman who returned to ground out the big tree stump excused Mr. Giffen's behavior, stating that "I'm only doing what I've been told to do." Big thumbs down due to shoddy service, unprofessionalism and lack of responsiveness.

Very well. We discussed what I wanted on a Friday. I had the supplies delivered on a Saturday and the job was done on Sunday. They knew it was an emergency fix so I wouldn't lose any of my cattle and they did an outstanding job getting it done for me.

    Tom Giffin Complete Tree Service
My wife and I wanted to remove the existing trees near the house so we could plant new ones more to our liking. Being that they were near the house they were too dangerous for an amateur to remove. The trees were situated near a fence, between the house and power lines, and in generally tricky positions. It was only 45 minutes after my initial call that I had a price and in three days the work was done and the yard cleared. Preston and his crew were very helpful, friendly, and extremely hard working. If the need arises in the future I would not hesitate to utilize their service again.

Wright Landscape Supply & Market Place LLC
I can't recommend this firm enough.  They did several projects around our property.  Most of the projects involved clearing debris, leveling the ground by adding top soil where necessary, and planting seed.  All very professionally done with excellent communication throughout.
Also, I had a small pistol range put is for safe firearm practice.  Based on my initial design, Shannon modified and improved the concept, designing it and constructing it with amazing detail and forethought.  The results are impressive and it looks like a lawn ornament.  It's very sturdy and should survive freezes and thaws with no issues.  It could probably be hit by a Mack truck and not be phased.
I won't discuss prices here, take that up with the firm.  The $2,000 required to be quoted above was for restoration of a large piece of land, leveling, filling with top soil and planting seed.
The team is very communicative and polite.  Evan and Jake helped Shannon most of the time.  All great and knowledgeable guys.  My experience was wonderful and they will be the first and only company I call should I think of another project in their field of expertise.

4 day job to take down 5 Maple trees and cleanup.  Was quite cold the first 3 days... low teens!  Brrrr.... Guys showed up bright and early, bundled up in Carhartt workwear, ready to work... even on "New Years Day" to complete the job.No rest for these Lumberjacks!  Fantastic crew!  Got the job done quick!  Answered all my questions with professionalism. All crew members were very concerned with the final cleanup of my yard / driveway of tree debris.  This was very important to me, just as important as the job itself.  No one wants to clean up after a contractor.  I am extremely pleased with the job from beginning to end and do intend to hire this company to do otherhome repairs for me in the future.  I am glad I joined Angie's List.  It has helped me to find an honest local contractor that can provide servicefor many of my home needs in the future, as Griffin's Tree Service also does painting, electrical, plumbing,indoor/ outdoor... everything under the sun!  It's such a huge load off a homeowners shoulders to find a versatile company that is honest...  Whew!Thank you Angie's List!!J. Whole Tree Care by Trapper's Tree Service
This Big Deal appears to be a bait and switch.  Further even though they say they will service counties outside of Franklin county they really don't want to unless it is a large job.  To take down one tree it was a $1400 estimate.  I would like to understand the note which states typical work $400-$600.  What doe that really include especially if outside of Franklin county.  Further in order to get some benefit from the Big Deal I purchased, I asked to have another smaller tree trimmed which they quoted at $209.  That quote is only good if I did the $1400 tree.  I pretty much have to eat the $99 I spent on the Angie's Big Deal.  When that was stated to the contractor he threw Angie under the bus and said that Angie's gets most of the $99 from that.
I previously purchased a Bid Deal from Angie's List and found it to be what I expected and great.  This was not the case.  Buyer BEWARE

They did not call back.  So, I called a week later and talked to a real person.  They set up an appointment to come see me but they never showed up and never called to re-schedule.  Apparently, they don't want my business.  I certainly have no desire to call them

Lawn irrigation is something that the average homeowner does once in a lifetime, if at all. It can be expensive due to the labor involved. We chose J.S. Goode based on reputation in the community. The project took two days to complete and we anticipate the system will meet our needs.

    TOL Landscaping LLC
TOL done an exceptional job on our planter. They evaluated the project and presented a first class design. A sample of the product that was recommended was brought to us which displayed the quality and the color range that we selected. Every step of the project was thouroughly explained. The project was completed within the time frame and quoted price. The area was cleaned up upon completion. The staff of TOL was very professional. I would highly recommend them for your landscaping needs. I look forward to working with them in the future.
