Took car to Midas for brake pads, rotors and calipers. Paid $539. Had to take the car back 4 times in less than a year for grinding, squeaking, brakes smelling HOT. Finally took to a different garage. Had to have brake pads, rotors and calipers put on again by the other garage. All Midas would say when they would replace the caliper (or said they replaced a caliper, they never gave me any paperwork for the 4 return visits) is that is must be DEFECTIVE. When I showed them the brake pads the other garage changed out they said the brake pads must have been DEFECTIVE. Seems like MIDAS uses too many DEFECTIVE parts! The did refund the cost of the brake pads for $139.

I brought them an oldsmobile silhoutte 2003 for maintainance. Just change spark plugs , oil change filter change. They asked me if I wanted them to change the wiring and i Told them much rather not since the wiring would be good, they have nothing to do with performance. The mechanic said he might need to if they break or get stuck and I asked him how much the wires would cost he quoted me about $40 so i told him if it has to be then yes but try not too. I called them before i brought it in and was quoted a price of $150 for the maintenance itself before the wires so knowing that this would be a ballpark quote i figured plus the wires would cost me maybe 200 or 210 before tax.
Later that morning i got a call LOW and BEHOLD the wires miraculously broke and had to be replaced.
It jacked the price up to $270 before taxes They added labor for the wires while i asked NOT to replace the wires unless something happens to them. I did not ask the mechanic to break the wires.
I was not shown the parts (wires or spark plugs) they replaced.
When i got home i opened the hood to check out these new wires and they do NOT look so new as a matter of fact they have scuff and rust marks on the wires which leads me to believe that they did not replace the wires but just jacked the price with that story.
The only reason i wend there is because i was quoted an initial price of $150 over $200 from another mechanic.
If I would have known they would jack the price up like that with unneeded repairs I would have opted for the other mechanic.
Yes I would have to pay 200 but atleast i know the other mechanic never jacked the price up after the quote.
I would not recommend this particular shop and go back to my old mechanic who is also on here Tim's Tires in chillicothe his prices are very reasonable most of the time lower then this one and never goes over the quoted price and sometimes even deal with you for a lower price.

The estimate included parts costs and availability that were wildly different than those quoted by the parts supply store the company claimed to be using. We did clear that up before having the work done. However, the work took several days longer than we were told it would take. The general attitude from the people we dealt with was "we'll get to it when we feel like it."

I like this Jiffy Lube because while they list all the services their computer suggests, I don't feel like I'm being pressured to do them all. When they recommend a particular service, they have a reason.

It was done professionally and it worked fine. along with the hitch the mechanic installed a small wiring harness I gave him to route along the frame rail from the battery to the rear of the truck for our wheelchair lift.
I've had work done here before and while I might be able to find someone with a cheaper price, I always know that I'm getting the right diagnosis for a problem with my cars and truck when I take it there. I don't continuously get told I need this or that replaced when in fact the parts are actually OK. If there is something he notices while working on my vehicles, he tells and shows me.

After having dealt with another service center who didn't perform all the work they said would be included, we drove into Midas for an oil change.  While there, since my front end was still shaking when I braked, we asked them to check the brakes and discovered the rotors needed turned, etc., so we had them do that as well.
The work took a bit longer than expected (rusted bolts, not their fault) and I was uneasy about the price at first, as we'd just had a bad experience elsewhere and I didn't want to pay out more money for another shop to work on the car.  That said, the price was good for the work being done.
We talked with the manager for a while and, being a double business major myself, I was very impressed with his dedication to building the store further along and in his straight-forward approach with everything in his charge.  It's obvious that he's a fair and honest boss to work for and he's definitely on top of things and how they're ran.
Overall, we were pleased with the work they did for us and we will be back, should we need any auto service done.

    Nourse Chillicothe Automall
My vehicle had been acting up for a couple months and finally died, unable to start back up.  I was skeptical about Nourse having "the only accurate diagnostic equipment for Hondas" available, as was claimed but allowed my boyfriend to handle who did the work, as I was too swamped with school at the moment to call around for quotes.
They did a diagnostic and called with a laundry list of work they wanted to do, along with a "discounted" quote of nearly $2000.  Despite their insistence, I told them to just do the work necessary to get it running again (which they claimed the ignition coil and tune-up would fix) and not to worry about the rest at this time.
Shortly after, feeling uneasy that the quote sounded too high for the work, I called for a "second opinion" quote for the same work elsewhere in town and found that other repair shops charged hundreds less for the amount of work I was about to have done.  I called Nourse back to tell them not to touch my car (since they weren't supposed to start on it till the next morning).  I received no answer and left a message asking them to return my call.  They didn't call back till closing time, to tell me that I can't tow my car away because they started the work and had it locked up for the night but they'd "call me in the morning once it was done".
I received no call the next day and called them that afternoon, an hour or two before they closed.  Nobody returned my calls and, when I called Customer Relations to complain, they didn't return my calls either.  I contacted an attorney the next morning to consult as to my rights and responsibilities in this matter, as well as those of Nourse.  I realized that they failed on several accounts in their dealings with me, which upset me further and left me feeling scammed.
The following day, I called Customer Relations again and, again, did not receive a call back (oddly everyone in that department is always sick and cannot call anyone back, according to reception each time I call for them).  We finally got a call the next evening, informing us the car was done.  When I brought up that I had attempted to lodge a complaint and hadn't received a callback, he acted surprised, saying he wasn't aware I'd left him any messages complaining about anything and offered to knock the price down a bit.  By then, we were sick of the run around and just wanted the car back, so we paid the money ($250 less than the original quote but still hundreds higher than everyone else in town) and got my car back.  Later that day, we had to take the car to another shop to have the oil change done that Nourse said they'd perform but didn't.
A couple of days later, I drove to my hometown, where my car died going down the street.  It eventually started back up but randomly started "cutting out" on the highway, like it was about to die again.  This occurred in various degrees over the next week but it still ran.  Finally, today, it died again and will not start back up, leaving me to have to reschedule my son's surgery on the shortest possible notice.
I called to inform them that the part they replaced could be defective, etc. and that they needed to fix the problem, as the work/parts are under their warranty.  I was informed that they had to "cut corners to provide my initial discount" but that they didn't feel the work was responsible for my car cutting out again.  Then they asked me to have it towed in to them, stating they'll run a new diagnostic "on the house".  Needless to say, I'll get a diagnostic from another repair shop, as many of them offer their diagnostics free anyway and I found 2 here in town that I feel I can trust.  I'm not letting Nourse sucker me in to take more of our money for shoddy service.
I will never send any vehicle of mine to Nourse ever again and, after having dealt with them on this end of things, will not bother with their Sales department when I go to buy my next vehicle either.  They've not only lost my business but also that of several other people we know!

    DiPietro Tyre Centre
They’re really nice.  They do their best to fix everything in the time they have allotted for me.  They have coffee, drinks, magazines and TV so I am not bored while I am waiting.  If I ask them to show me some of the parts that they have replaced or how it works, they will call in a mechanic and then they’ll bring out what a good one looks like and what mine looks like and what it should look like and they’ll demonstrate how the specific functions of the mechanics work.  They’re really informative.

    Chuck'S Auto Rescue
Chuck either didn't use or couldn't read the tool for identifying the cause of check engine lights.  He clearly didn't check a prime cause of engine vibration and instead skipped to the most expensive repair.

We have taken our car to muffler brothers for years we have a 93 ford tempo and every time something was wrong we took it there and Ray always took us back and showed us exactly what he had to do and what was wrong with it and if it was a possibility that something else might break while fixing it(it is an old car) and how much it will cost we have never ever had any complaints with them I refer any one to them that has any problems with there cars. there prices are the best in town. unless you know someone who will do it for free lol.
