I take my dogs to see the owner, Dr. Paul Borger. I have been using their services for about three years. They are very good and their prices are reasonable. They are thorough and explain things well. I am a breeder and they are breeder friendly.

They are absolutely perfect! They are just marvelous! When my cats died, they sent me a sympathy card and everybody on the staff had signed it. They are very, very attentive. Whenever you take your animal in for any procedure, they call you the next day to ask you how your animal is doing. I've had better service from them than I get from my own doctor. Usually there is very little wait time. They are very timely in their office practice, they are ready to do referrals if you want, and they will talk to you as long as you want. I lost 2 cats in the last 2 months and both of their conditions were different. One of the doctors actually came out to the house to put my cat down and never charged me for it. When I told her that at the next visit, I said I think you forgot to put that in my bill. She said she would never charge for something like that. It's just over and above. They recommend things and when the second cat got sick, the vet said they can refer me to a specialist and maybe we'll find out what's the matter with her. I asked if we can cure it and she said probably not. I asked if the cat is going to die if I spend $2,000 or if it's going to die if I don't spend $2,000. The cat finally just had a stroke and died right here in the house. They are conscious of all the things that go into good veterinary care which includes the cost to the owner. It's the best that I've ever had.

It really bothers me to have to write this review, I had high hopes for this particular clinic. The animal clinic of Chardon tore down their old building and built a seven figure structure in its place. It's beautiful, it gives one the impression that they take
animal care seriously and are not afraid to make a massive investment for a top-of-the-line facility. You've probably heard the old adage "you can't judge a book by its cover", this is exactly the reason why.
The millions spent to construct their clinic have to be paid for one way or another. Because we (the clients) are the ones paying
the tab you have to ask yourself if the massive egos of the doctors who built this place are actually worth paying for? After all there are many other vets in the area that are just as competent. The following is a detailed account of exactly what my experience was.
I lived in Chesterland for 10 years and frequently traveled past this clinic when shopping in Chardon. After the construction of
the new building I made my first appointment to bring my puppy in for a checkup and his scheduled shots. When I called I asked the girl who answered the phone how much it was going to cost to see my dog to which she told me "there's
a small exam fee and whatever shots he might need". Now this is NOT my first dog and I've been to more than one vet so I assume we are talking somewhere in the neighborhood of $125 which would be reasonable. I had someone take the dog
in, pay the invoice, and bring the dog home. When I was presented with the bill I was shocked, there were these ludicrous fees for "Dr. Consultations", "exam fee", "wellness consult"... No kidding... Wellness consult. The bill was about $300? At this point I decided to change that's because I'm not going to give them a second chance to rip me off. They violated my trust and took advantage of me so it's time to bring my business someplace else.
Approximately 8 months later my breeder told me that it was time to have the dog neutered so I contacted some different vets
all of which said because they had not seen the dog before they would be exponentially more expensive because they had to go through a series of blood work and exams in order to do the surgery. The honest veterinarians actually told me to just get a firm price from the vets who had seen him because it would be much less expensive. We called and were given a price of $425 for the surgery. This is not a bad price considering the dog is over 100 pounds. The Friday before the surgery was scheduled ( Monday) I got a follow-up call to remind me of the appointment and answer any questions I might have. I did have
a question? I wanted to make sure that the price didn't magically change on me, I asked the girl now for the second time she gave me a number of $720!!! a full $300 more than I was originally quoted. Naturally, I objected and demanded an explanation for the fees. She fell all over her words trying to figure out how she could get me off the phone but I too refused without an
explanation. It was very clear that they were just going to let me come in with the belief that my dog surgery would be $425 and then hand me a bill for almost twice as much. When I pressed the issue she told me about all these other fees
for exams, blood work, rabies, etc. to which I said "I am not interested in any of those additional treatments, how much is the neuter?" $510 was her answer. We are now $100 more than the original quoted price.
I got off the phone and about 30 min. later got a call from the nurse who said that she understands that there may be some
confusion. I told her "no confusion, I'm bringing my dog to get neutered, I was told that the price was $425", that?s how much I'm going to pay, is there a problem with that?? 20 min. of her explaining to me about all the additional care that has to go into the surgery brought the price to a bare minimum of $680. I could pretty much end the story here because I canceled the
appointment and decided to write this review. Do not go to this vet, they are worse than any sleazy used car lot you've ever seen in a bad B rated movie.
People read these reviews to save themselves money and aggravation when dealing with contractors or in this case so-called
professionals. Here's the deal, part of my profession of 16 years has been as a federal arbitrator for a highly regulated investment industry. I have a specific expertise in detecting fraudulent activities and the art of deception.
Investors are duped all the time by high-pressure salespeople who lie about investment products being offered? there is no difference in a bait and switch. This clinic relies on a basic fear that most people have of confrontation. Most
people have found themselves in a situation where there put on the spot and are forced to publicly react to an unpleasant situation. 9/10 people in my humble experience will usually fold due to embarrassment. I'm the one out 1/10.... I would never stand by and allow someone to intentionally mislead me. The tactic described above is commonly used by home improvement companies to shame prospective buyers into unnecessary or overpriced services by alluding to the fact that
they are unable to pay for them. Imagine picking up your dog after having surgery and the price is twice as high as they told you would be? Would you honestly stand there and fight with them? Or would you simply put it on your credit card and walk away frustrated? Don't let this company put you in that position? Find a different veterinarian.

It went great! I went there, bought the Dog Lover's Gold and also a few other items for my dog. Their dog snacks are
very high quality, and the owner was there that day and waited on me. He gave my dog, Gunner, a whole bunch of
complimentary dog biscuits, which was a nice touch.
My brother recommended this place a long time ago, and I am glad I had the opportunity to visit. I am now a
    regular customer.

All we wanted was the one cat but we had to take his brother too, he has a little brain damage. There are tons of pets there. It is a great place but they do get overloaded. They do not put their animals to sleep. They are wonderful. The prices are good, we got two for the price of one.

My dog goes for doggie day care, some half days and some whole days, and has been boarded there for over a week. The people there seem very kind and good to the animals. The spaces for the dogs to sleep, play, run around, are pleasant and well kept. They have a good system for keeping track of each dog and its needs.
My dog LOVES to go there. He is an only dog and this is his chance to be with other dogs, something vet thinks he missed in puppyhood (rescue dog). I can drop him off and feel confident he is happy, enjoying himself, safe and being well cared for . This is a great place.

We have been taking our animals here for years. I can call the office at any time of the day and the staff will ask Dr. Beiber questions for us if she is there. She is really good and honest. Dr. Beiber and her staff are very friendly and make you feel comfortable taking your animals there.

My puppy arrived early the first vist.  This gave her a chance to get used to the place without it having all the dogs there.

It took us a few times to get her to go in.  Once she went in, she was running around playing within a few minutes.  I was able to watch her interactions with the staff and the other dogs through a window.

The staff told me to call if I wanted to check up on her.  I called late morning and was told she was doing fine.

When I arrived, they told me she had a small cut below her eye.  It was cleaned and I was given instructions on caring for it over the weekend.  I was very pleased with how they handled the event.

They told me what they observed with her during the day, her interaction with the other dogs and the staff.

They are extremely flexible with attendence.  She will attend on different days depending on my and my son's schedule.

I am extremely pleased with my experience.  I am planning on using their boarding options when I need to be out of town.

    Big Creek Veterinary Hospital
We believe they over medicated our animal which caused a serious reaction which they then misdiagnosed which caused further complications. When faced with what they did they did not take responsibility, and now still use the medication contrary to the stated precautions and don't care if they ruin other animals.

    Eastside Dog & Cat Hospital
These folks were very good to me and to my cat when we needed it most. They were both professional and caring. I can't comment about fees because I am new to the area and don't have a feel for that yet, but I would trust my dear pets to this pet hospital and its staff.
