Door Installation reviews in Chardon

Was called (and received an e-mail reminder) the day prior to the appointment. Installers (John Likovic and his team--Frank and Josh) showed up timely when expected for the appointment, introduced themselves, and proceeded to do the installations. They were professional, polite, thorough, neat (put tarps over flooring and used a shop vac to clean up the area) and even washed the windows after their installation! Did a complete walk through upon completion, explaining the operation of each window. Went over the warranty and asked if we had any questions or concerns. Was thoroughly satisfied with this experience and the install team and would recommend Universal Windows Direct to anyone considering window/door replacement. I love my windows (and door)!

John was very responsive and professional.  He installed a new metal door leading into our basement.  The old framing was damaged, so he removed that and put in all new framing and insulation.  Excellent job.  Cleaned up afterwards, and actually the work area was cleaner than when he arrived.  I wasn't able to be there during the actual install, but John kept me up to date throughout the process via text messages.  His company provides a full range of construction, building, and remodeling services.  I would welcome the opportunity to work with him again.

My 22 year old gutters did not have leaf and seed covers on them.  Since I live on a 4 acre wooded lot, my gutters  needed  protection from leaves and seeds clogging them. I called Matteo Residential Construction, and I explained the difficulty I was having with the gutters clogging.  Mark Matteo promptly came out and gave me an estimate.  He was very helpful and took the time to explain to me how the different gutter systems worked.  He answered all my questions, and I felt knowledgeable about the product I chose.  I decided to go with the better gutter with a leaf/seed cover. The installers were on time and careful not to damage anything.  They left my landscaping and yard in excellent condition and took the old gutters with them.

I am so pleased with this company, I spoke with Mark about replacing old double doors and trim on my garden shed.  I was thinking of replacing the double doors on the shed with the same.  Mark suggested I think about a 4' overhear garage door instead.  I never thought about this as a replacement.  I intend to hire this company for this job.

I had a problem with the contractor who did the granite countertop, but the product itself was very nice. The installation did not go well. I called them and told them and they know that, but they didn't respond at all. The damage I was looking at is still damaged. The windows and doors were about $11,000 and the countertops were about $7,000. We thought the pricing was very good because we did look around. Their punctuality was very good. I would consider going to Home Depot, but I wouldn't want to use the same subcontractor.

It was not a good experience.  I had a lot of issues...I had them put a French doors...there were issues with their installation.  They've been back a lot of times since they installed last July and it is still not 100% accurate.  There are still a lot of issues with the way they install and finish the door that I am not happy with.  I think they've been professional but I just don't find that they have been overly responsive or helpful with my concerns.  Ultimately, I am not still happy with their workmanship.  They still have no answer on how to address an ongoing problem other than the defect on the actual product.  There were a lot of miscommunication between the crew and manager.  It could have been prevented with their communication.

I contacted 6 sliding glass door contractors. Country-Wide was the last one to visit for the quote.  By now I had been more than educated about the state of the art in s.doors.  When Rob presented his quote he was very professional and honest.  He showed me materials they use to fill around the door.  The type of glass (triple pane) and the benefits of krypton gas.  All in all Rob was a good salesman and he guaranteed he was the lowest price on the door we wanted.  After checking with a contractor who quoted us lower price but  with a different gas (Zion).  Robs price was still a $100.00 less.  We agreed on terms and he emailed a contract the next day.  He stated the aprox. time frame for making the door at his distributor (6 weeks to possible install date). After a month I contacted them for an update and they said the door was in.  I sent up an install date for 10 days and all this fell in the 6 week time frame.  On June 3rd his workers showed on time and got right to work.  I failed to get their names but both gentleman were kind and friendly.  They put down tarps on my carpet and 5 hours later my new door was in.  I watched as much as I could as to not get in their way.  They did exactly what Rob said and the door was beautiful.  They cleaned up all the residue, explained the lock system and care of the door.  They even patched a hole in my shutter area.  The end result was more than I expected.  A very professional installation on a very high quality door.  I couldn't be happier.  I highly recommend Country-Wide for any sliding door problems you have.  Rob and crew should be commended for a job "Well Done".   THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Overall, everything went very well. The window replacement, painting and floor installation was subcontracted out and all of the subcontractors were prompt, efficient and professional. With as many different things in my house that were being worked on, there was very little interruption or inconvenience in my daily life. The foreman of the overall remodeling project kept in contact with me continuously and always treated me with courtesy and professionalism. Any issues I had with the work that was being done were addressed immediately and to my satisfaction. The end result of the remodeling project met and in some areas exceeded my expectations and I feel like I am living in a new home now that everything is completed.

Their prices are competitive. The carpenter that did it was very creative. A utility room is sort of hard. He knew where to put the electrical outlets and what he could wall in. He gave me ideas. It was nice to work with him because he was helpful and easy to talk to.

Salesman and employees were on time, very polite, efficient. Took 3 days to side a 78' long ranch home, with vaulted ceilings. The work was done well. Crew did a good job cleaning up after themselves. Salesman is also the owner. Chris is an honorable man. Had Chris over to correct a slight problem associated with the nature of the specialty siding. He corrected it in a timely manner. We are pleased with the results.

DISAPPOINTED THIS TIME. WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND NORTHCOAST ENERGY MASTERS AGAIN. WE HAD A GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH A DOOR REPLACEMENT A WHILE AGO, BUT THIS TIME WHILE THE DOOR REPLACEMENT WENT OKAY THE WINDOWS AND WINDOW REPLACEMENT WORK WERE NOT SATISFACTORY. FIRST THE STORM DOORS THEY SOLD TO US WERE WHITE WHILE THE WINDOWS WERE BLUE/WHITE. WE PLACED THE ORDER FOR WINDOWS AND DOORS AT THE SAME TIME SO IT WAS NO SURPRISE THAT WHEN WE ORDERED WHITE WE MEANT WHITE FOR THE WINDOWS AND DOORS. THE BLUE/WHITE WINDOWS WITH BLUE/WHITE TRIM ARE DEFINITELY NOTICEABLE AND NOT IN A GOOD WAY. SECOND THE SALES PERSON MADE SEVERAL ASSUMPTIONS DURING THE ORDER PROCESS THAT WERE NOT WHAT WE WANTED. THIRD BOTH THE DOOR AND WINDOW CREWS WERE SUBCONTRACTORS, NOT COMPANY EMPLOYEES AS WE HAD BEEN TOLD. FOURTH I STOPPED COUNTING THE NUMBER OF SCREWS THAT WERE LEFT ALL OVER OUR PROPERTY BY THE WINDOW CREW AFTER I HAD CLEANED UP 74, INCLUDING ONE THAT CAUSED A FLAT IN ONE OF MY WIFE'S CAR TIRES.
