    Cerha Kitchen & Bath
Cerha did a fantastic job for us. The price was right and fair. The results were even better than imagined. They told us when they were going to be there and were seldom late. We were able to add to the project and they still finished on time. Andrea, our personal designer, did a wonderful job helping us sort through the overwhelming choices and color options. She was always prepared and on time for our appointments. We would definitely work with them again.

    Absolute Kitchens and Baths
Danny, the owner, and his good friend and co-worker Dominic did a fabulous job on our complete remodel of our kitchen. They always arrived on time and were really pleasant to have in my house every day. The quality of both the workmanship and the supplies/materials that they used is superb. Danny is not one to cut corners. Just the opposite, he spends extra time and care to make sure that everything is just right but he doesn't charge an arm and a leg to do it the right way. Not only was his price lower than the bids from other larger contractors with fancy show rooms, but I am certain that the care and time he took surpassed what we would have gotten from random groups of workers. Danny designed our new layout and gave us plenty of options for materials to choose from. He made sure we had roll-out shelves for our pantry, a pull-out garbage cabinet, pull-out spice rack, and pull-out sheet pan cabinet. He then built custom cabinet bases so that we could extend our cabinet line across the baseboard heating. He also created our half-wall with a beautiful hand-made hickory post and top to match our cabinets. Danny is also an excellent plumber and even fixed a pipe that broke (unrelated to our kitchen) while he was there for us, just because his knew how and he is a good person. Besides assisting Danny with remodel, Dominic is also a master electrician and ran all of our new electric work, making sure it was done properly and to code. Absolute Kitchens and Baths has won our loyalty and we have already contracted them for a second project and will continue to give them our business as future projects need doing.

    Home Repair Solutions
They did a really good quality job. It was very quick; I couldn't believe how quickly the job was done, especially since it had to be customized. It wasn't like he could just buy the counter tops, because the way we wanted our sink put in was we needed it to be handicap accessible. So he actually had to customize certain areas of the counter top, but surprisingly he did it very quickly.

    The Home Depot
I had a problem with the contractor who did the granite countertop, but the product itself was very nice. The installation did not go well. I called them and told them and they know that, but they didn't respond at all. The damage I was looking at is still damaged. The windows and doors were about $11,000 and the countertops were about $7,000. We thought the pricing was very good because we did look around. Their punctuality was very good. I would consider going to Home Depot, but I wouldn't want to use the same subcontractor.

    Granite Transformations
We received a quote from Granite Transformations for our kitchen countertops as well as cabinet refacing. At the time, their product seemed very interesting to us. Their product was like a granite covering that would fit on top of our current laminate countertops. Upon further investigation we found that having an actual new granite countertop would turn out to be less expensive. The salesman who came out to our home for cabinet refacing and this granite transformation product was extremely personable. It is too bad that we could not use either of his products but we did better by having custom cabinets made and real granite countertops installed. We were appreciative of the time he spent with us.

    Firenza Stone LLC
We began searching for countertops in April of 2011.  Jon Fimiani showed us their stock of granite slabs in their own warehouse.  We discussed costs, using one slab or two, sink choices, and other things relative to having granite countertops installed in our kitchen.  We then visited a wholesale warehouse where more slabs of granite were on display.  We never really saw anything that we felt we could afford.  The slabs were coded by letters of the alphabet with the "A" slabs being the least expensive up to the most expensive "Z" slabs.  We felt we had to limit ourselves to only A, B, or C slabs.  Each increase would be about a $10 per square foot increase in cost and we have about 43 sq. ft. of counter space to consider.

Another fabricator, closer to our home, had one price for A, B, or C slabs so we thought we would go with his company.  His price was lower than Firenza.  We returned to the wholesale warehouse a couple of times with broader horizons, not limiting ourselves to just A or B level granite.

Finally, we found a granite slab that we liked and made arrangements for the second fabricator to come in and measure the kitchen.  However, we thought we would return to Firenza one more time to check their granite slabs to see if there was anything there we liked more.  Yes there was.  We found a slab that we both liked a lot more than the one we were ready to order from the second fabricator.

However, the cost had jumped up about $1000 over what we thought we were willing to spend back in April when we started our search.  Since we both liked the color and movement in this granite at Firenza we cancelled the second fabricator and went ahead with Firenza Stone.

Jon came out and measured our kitchen, made a template for the new slab and put us on the schedule for cutting and installing our slab.  He met all the dates and times that were set up.  He even came out the day after the installation to see the final result.  We were very happy with his attention to our project.  We think the final result is better than we had anticipated.  We are surprised that we spent so much on the countertops but we would have been unhappy with the other choices we were considering.

    Creative Stonecrafters
My wife picked out the counter top for our bathroom vanity she liked (granite) and paid the counter top and installation ($700).  The installation was scheduled for 1:30pm on Monday.  At 1:10pm Monday I get a call from the installer saying that since I'm not there and the bathroom is not ready they are pulling off site and we will have to re-schedule.   I tell him that I'm en route and he isn't even supposed to be there until 1:30pm, he agrees to wait (frustrating and stupid but ok).   I show up and have everything ready for the installer at 1:20pm.   They install the counter top after I leave and have to got back to work.  I really wish I could have stopped them from screwing it up.

1.)  The counter top was measured wrong.   The over hang on the left front was 1 1/4" and on the right 5/8".   That is a NOTICEABLE difference that is just terrible to pay for.  I'm about 99% sure they all knew it was wrong because they put hardly any caulking on anything so if they had to pull it out they could easier, however, they called it a "finished" product after they left.  This is really why I got so mad...  am I dumb enough to buy it?

2.)  The installing in his grand wisdom decided to "eye" the hole for the faucet and drilled it 3/4" off center to the stone basin cut out.  The funny thing:  just before I left I asked the installer if he wanted a right angle or a tape or anything because I had them in the other room, he said "no we have all that stuff in the truck".   For the record:  HE CANNOT EYE ANYTHING well.

3.)  The porcelain under mount basin was set sloppily off center approximately 3/4".   So when your looking at the stone cutout for the under mount sink it does not line up with the actual drain or the faucet.

4.)  The installer did not apply enough caulking.  The actual basin was sloppy and was actually moving around.  I had to re-caulk the countertop and basin myself.

My wife LOVES this stone and I was going to let it just go because I didn't want her to feel like she was "duped".   But after going in the bathroom (alot like we all do)  It became evident that they knew the countertop was measured wrong and installed it anyway just to see if we were dumb enough to buy it.   That just p***** me off so I called Chris Kurr and told him of the countertop being cut wrong, the hole for the faucet just being "eyed" in and the lack of caulking etc...   I basically called him on his BS.  He was responsive but unfortunately you cannot GROW the stone back that you cut off and there really is no way of fixing it without totally replacing it.  He measured it wrong and it looks like it is a half-assed job no matter what you do.  Since he is the only person who has the matching stone that we need to complete the bathroom I told him that maybe next time I should measure it.  His response was he doesn't do that because he doesn't want any mistakes.   After he realized that he already screwed up the measuring and what he said was absolutely ridiculous he told me he was getting offended and told me to take my business elsewhere.

I would not go near this guy.  He isn't a bad guy and I believe he is really trying to be honest.  He has a good product but is just not capable of putting it together.   If you use this guy you will NOT BE HAPPY with the result.

    Badly measured and cut.
    Badly Installed.

    Final product:  Half-Assed.

After that and $700 later...  DONT DO IT   Creative StoneCrafters are just plain BAD!!!!

They did a fantastic job. They used good materials. We are pleased with the end results. We would recommend them to others. They were very cooperative with any questions I had and helping me make some decisions. They were trustworthy to have in my home even when I was not here and they were very professional.

    American Wood Reface
We thrilled with the work they did for us. I couldn't be more pleased with a company. We did have an issue where the cabinets were starting to drop a little. They came right out and fixed it beautifully, with no issues, even though it was a good 2 years after they installed it! The workers were very professional and did a great job at maintaining the mess. When they left each evening, everything was tidied up.

It was well done. There was some extra plumbing work that the carpenter did in the shower. He was able to put in a new shower head and faucets while he was already there doing the work. They were very flexible if we wanted to change or add anything.
