    MDS Painting LLC.
I highly recommend MDS for any painting needs. I called Mike to get a quote on a Friday and the job was completely finished by the following Tuesday at 11am. He was detailed, efficient, and fair. I appreciated how he was able to be flexible and complete my project quickly and with the highest level of skill. He was great to work with and I would absolutely hire him again.

I contacted Mike to get an estimate for interior painting we are wanting done. He was quiet to return my call and set up a time to come give an estimate. He did call to let me know he was running behind due to traffic. Overall he was very professional.

    Johnson Home Improvement Services
Dan kept us informed of when he would be able to start. Completed project in a timely fashion (within 2 weeks) and no surprise price deviations from quote. Dan and his helper remodeled an approximate 10 ft x 10 ft bathroom. Project involved partial removal of drywall and sub-floor to increase shower size. Tile and flooring looks great. Dan and his crew also installed new bath fans (one in remodeled bath and another in adjacent bathroom), lighting, and barn doors to bathroom and adjacent walk in closet. We discovered one minor issue when the work was complete and Dan addressed it the very next day. Dan and his team showed up on time and left the work site clean everyday. Overall, we are very pleased with the quality of the work. Cost of service was cost for labor and construction materials. All aesthetic materials (tile, flooring, vanity, faucets, lighting/fan, cabinet, mirror, shower doors, barn doors and hardware) are in addition to cost of service.

Unbelievable! What a great job Dan and his company did. Just wonderful! I owned a small business for 40 years and my number one requirement when I hired someone was to hire a person who cares. Dan Cares. From the smallest detail to the largest, he would make sure it was right. His communication skills regarding the planning, the progress, his suggestions to make the project better, and just his overall friendliness was second to none. In addition, he and PJ work so hard and so fast but never take shortcuts. If you want to hire a great guy who does quality work, Dan is your guy.

Dan and his assistant, PJ, did an incredible job with our master bath remodel. Two months later and we still comment on how much we enjoy and appreciate the work they did. This was a full gut and installation of new walls, cabinets, plumbing, lighting, heated floor and tile.

    Paul Baucco Construction Inc.
Paul is a great contractor. He has a ton of skills, some great employees and subs and he does great, creative work in a collaborative fashion. We first worked with Paul and his crew when we did an extensive kitchen remodel. This job included all new tile, cabinets, all plumbing fixtures, and new appliances, as well as the installation of radiant floor heating, new windows and doors, and electrical and plumbing relocation. The job also included the installation of a new laundry room including plumbing, gas, and electrical. The whole job went very smoothly and we are very pleased with the results. We also had Paul install a large deck on our house which is amazing, the deck is on it's third summer and it's holding up great and is super solid. Paul also installed a paver stone walkway and patio for us. This project included building the walk way up from a sunken site and incorporating large sandstone barn stones to match our 1850 farm house. Paul is a great mason and tile guy for sure. Overall, I've found Paul Baucco to be easy to get along with, fun to work with, punctual and honest. He really gives contractors a good name.

    Neatnics The Home Repair Co
The job was to remove ~ 3inches from the bottom of a cabinet to make room for a new and taller refrigerator. The Kitchen is 40 years old with Formica veneer on the cabinets. Neatnics did a superb job and had all of the tools to perform the job in one setting ( My husband was very impressed with all of the saws he had). When I walked into the kitchen from the garage, I did not even notice the difference in the length of the cabinet. That is how good it looked. The job took 4 hours. I was the one who hired for Neatnics while my husband wanted to get references from our neighbors. My husband and I both agree that we will be using Neatnics in the future and can recommend this company to friends and neighbors. Two thumbs up!!!

    Hook Home Maintenance
There are plenty of competent contractors, Hook Home Maintenance is not one of them. When I hired Hook Home Maintenance they told me the project would take three weeks at a cost of $41.5 k. It took 13 weeks (with Lindsay telling me 2 more weeks starting at week six), and the final bill was $75.9 k (YES, that is an increase of 83%). The majority of the overage being unexplained labor -materials were over by $7.1 k, labor was over by $27.3 k. The project was not only grossly underestimated, but the additional 10 weeks cost listing the house during a sellers market that was busiest when the house was supposed to be complete. Since completion was in mid-May instead of the beginning of March, additional funds were necessary to paint the outside of the house, which was never part of the original project (No, I did not have Hook paint the outside). Hooks incompetency cost me addition money in many areas. Upon inspection of Hooks work The kitchen rendering that was provided did not match what was installed There was damage to the kitchen cabinets when they were installed The new toilet in the upstairs bath was not functioning Shelves were missing from the kitchen pantry and laundry room and were not in the house Pre-painted trim was cut and raw wood was left exposed Prep work prior to painting (filling holes and dents) was not done and there was paint on the new hardwood floors, the fireplace stone, etc. (Ironically, the estimate to paint was the only cost that Randy advised me was over budget and after asking how much it was going to be over, I never received a revised estimate, just an invoice.) The wood counter tops in the kitchen were a different wood than the laundry room counter tops I was charged for six (6) hours of cleaning that was done two weeks prior to Hook completing the project. Additional funds were used for a final cleaning. Overages and expenditures as the project was under way were not conveyed and when specifically asked about costs and time lines, updated cost estimates were not provided and updated time estimates were inaccurate. The amount of money allocated for this project was clearly communicated at the beginning of the project and Shawn assured that he thought there would be savings in some of the discounts provided by Lowes for materials. An opportunity to control costs was not provided as Hook Home Maintenance continued to send invoices with unexplained labor costs. The majority of Hooks work was acceptable, but not worth the overage in cost, time and aggravation. There are plenty of competent contractors out there. Hook Home Maintenance is not one of them.

    MASTER PAINTING PLUS
We have worked with many contractors over the years remodeling homes and these painters were by far our favorite. They were so friendly, interacting with our family. They spent two weeks at our home doing a fairly large job and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. We are bringing them back to do a few more rooms and stairs and look forward to working with them again.

    UPTOWN PAINTING
I cannot adequately describe how great our experience was with Uptown Painting. Dave and his crew did an excellent job from start to finish. We had all of the challenges; high ceilings, different colors of paint, extensive trim painted with oil based paint, furniture, mostly hardwood floors, plants and many windows. They carefully protected everything which at times took a considerable amount of time. They were very careful throughout the entire project to make sure they didn't damage anything. Anyone who has hardwood floors knows that you have to be extremely careful not to damage or scratch the floors. Every day Dave discussed the plans for that day. He planned the work to minimize disruption so we were able to use the rooms. Every morning he asked if we were satisfied with the work. The quality of their work was superior. They were so meticulous that they found minor touch ups before we noticed them. They did a great job of cleaning up and left our home spotless. They exceeded all of our expectations. Their price was very reasonable and competitive. I highly recommend Uptown Painting . We already plan to use them for our future projects.
