    The process went great (easy, quick & pain free) and the results were awesome. I immediately had 20-20 (or better) in my corrected eye and could function without any glasses (near or distance). Over the next few weeks after the procedure, my eyesight improved even more as my eyes learned to work together.

    Everyone was polite and quite prompt. I expected the appointment to last twice as long as it did. No one rushed me or felt rushed, they were just incredibly organized and running ahead of schedule. I was very impressed. I have not yet purchased glasses at this location, however.

    I have been going to this Dr's office since 1971. I really like Dr. Slamer. He is thorough and personable. He answered every one of my questions thoroughly. He explained why he was suggesting the adjustment in my contact lenses, in a way that I understood, and I agreed with his diagnosis.
    This office offers the ability to have detailed photos taken of the retina, in order to detect possible issues (such as macular degeneration, etc), and they explain the benefits and the costs, which might be more than insurance covers. I chose to have the photos taken, since I have many eye diseases in my family. Dr Slamer showed me the photos and explained the indications fully.
    The staff is great. They researched my insurance benefits prior to my arrival and explained my eligibility. They answered all my questions nicely. The person (I wish I knew her name) who helped me browse for eyeglasses was especially Terrific. She knew exactly what colors/shapes looked right for my face and she was extremely personable.
    I highly recommend this office for your eye exams.

    I have been going to this eye clinic for years now, but the two doctors that I saw have now retired, so I had to see a different doctor. I was very unhappy with the fact that the entire exam was completed by a staff person - not the doctor. The doctor came in at the end to look into my eyes - but the calculations and exams for the contacts and prescriptions were done by a staff person.
    The next day I received a call telling me that I needed to pay them $50, as they do not put contact fitting fees through any insurance plans, as they are considered and quot;cosmetic, as you can always choose to wear glasses insteadand quot;. So even if your insurance will pay for this service, they require that you pay them up-front the $50.
    In prior years, others in my family have complained about having most of the examination done by and quot;staffand quot; persons, not the doctors. This is the first time that I have had this experience at this clinic. The fees are high, there are long waits after the appointment time, and now you barely see the doctors.

    A few years ago, they required that I pay up-front for an exam, and since I had new medical insurance, I assumed it was not paid through my insurance. I later discovered that they filed the paperwork with my insurance. They were paid twice for the same exam, and the only way I could get my money back was by making copies of all the documents, and taking it to them - as they claimed they didn't have any records of the double-payment. I did get my money back, but only because I discovered the duplication, complained, and verified this to them. There was no apology from them at any time.
    Now that they are asking for a $50 fee up-front for all contact wearers, I felt it was time to make a complaint where others can see it and make a more informed decision about going to the Dayton Eye Associates.

    Nova Vision Care served our vision needs in every way possible. I would give them an A in every way. The office is beautiful and they seem to have all the latest equipment. It's very comfortable there. I will definitely continue to use them.

    To summarize, I'd highly recommend this office (and Dr. Stahl in particular) for cataract surgery treatment. I was treated well, Dr. Stahl was very good at answering my questions (I read up a bit on the Web and generally had two or three each visit), and the results were very good.
    I originally started my visits in May 2013 to see if Dr. Stahl could correct some of the issues I had with PRK I received in 1996. During the visit he spotted cataracts in both eyes and the decision was made to replace the lenses instead.
    In my case there were a total of nine visits required after my initial contact; an initial physical evaluation combined with a comprehensive eye measurement, the actual procedures (one of each eye), and three post-operative visits fo reach eye.
    There was a lapse of a few months between the original appointment and the surgery mainly because Dr. Stahl wanted to see if I could track down my pre-PRK prescription (the Veterans Adminstration came through on this one) and also because I spent some time making up my mind whether I wanted both eyes with lenses sighted for distance or, instead, have one eye set up for reading and the other set up for distance. I eventually made the decision to have a lens inserted in my left eye to make it near-sighted (so I could read without glasses) and a lens in my right eye to give me distance vision.Based on post-operative checks, he got very close - my left (near-sighted) eye ended up at a focal distance of 20and quot; (instead of the targeted 26and quot;), which actually worked out better for reading anyway, and my right eye, based on their measurements, had no refractive error at all (I also visited my regular optometrist the same week and his measurements were close to these). I'm happy with this arrangement - distance vision is not quite as sharp (it's still 20/20 in the right eye; it's just that two eyes with 20/20 might give a crisper picture) but it's a real convenience not to have to wear reading glasses for close-up work.
    Dr. Stahl's office handles a lot of patients, so prospective patients should plan on visits lasting a bit longer than normal (compared to typical visits to medical offices). That was my experience, anyway; a typical checkup consisting of a few minutes of tests by an assistant and a few minutes of examination and conversation with Dr. Stahl would keep me there for anywhere between an hour and and hour and fifteen minutes.
    Overall, though, I was very pleased with the results and the way I was treated.

    Overall, I'm very happy I had LASIK. 1 month out I still have halos and starbursts which and quot;shouldand quot; go away after 10 weeks. They are very efficient, and but quicker than others in town. Their costs are similar from what I can tell. He's quick with his bedside manner, but, thorough as far as I can tell. The optometrist that exams you will barely acknowledge your existence.
    At times I felt rushed, but, I'm not sure that would change the outcome, you still get good quality I think.

    The staff was friendly and attentive. I was checked in and registered very quickly without having to spend 20 minutes filling out paperwork. We were left to browse new frames without being pressured to buy. I was called in for my exam right on time. The exam itself was the most thorough I have had in a long time. Dr Huelsman listened to me and answered all of my questions. He took his time and never made me feel rushed or like I was keeping him from something else.
    I highly recommend Dr Huelsman and his practice. We have found our new family eye doctor!

    The eye exam was poor quality, not what I was used to but the doctor was older and said he had been doing this for years so I thought perhaps it would be OK. Well the glasses did not cost me what they advertised. The Frames I chose I was told were more expensive. They eye exam was not included so it ended up costing approx. $168.00.
    I would have been fine with that but I could see better with my old glasses than either pair of the new ones. I mentioned this when I got them which was NOT one hour. I was told my eyes had to adjust to the new prescription. It did not get better but I became ill and could not get back. I called them and they said no problem when ever I could get in they would take care of the problem.
    It did take me a long time to get them back. I used my old glasses. When I did get back they took me back and took the glasses back to the lab. They said they were as the doctor prescribed. I told them they had not worked since I got them and if they couldn't fix them could I get my money back or at least all but the exam. I was told I could pay for another exam but that was all they could do for me.
    SO I have two pair of glasses that have never been worn. I would never go there again even though I just received a card from them the other day telling me it was time for another exam. This is why I am writing this so late.
    Go to a responsible Optometrist! I finally got back to mine and I have two pair (I paid for the other since they happened to have a special for long time customers with one half off the second pair) and now I can see ! I have a pair for dress and a sturdier pair for around the house to watch TV and work on the computer and read. Ironically not that much more considering I can use them and can see !!!!!!!!!!!!!! As they say, "You get what you pay for" . Don't mess with your eyesight it is a gift !!

    No one can compare with Dr. Fenton when it comes to the eye exam. When he showed me how much better my lenses would be I was so happy. I had been straining my eyes with my old glasses. My glasses were supposed to be ready in approx. two weeks but I was pleasantly surprised they came in within a week. I wore them home and couldn't believe how much better my vision was. I wear bi focals and the exam and the measuring is extremely important.
    I was very lucky they were running a special for long time customers and you could get a second pair for half off. It was ready to end and I just made it. I am constantly misplacing my glasses so this  second paid  takes the pressure and stress off and I chose one pair for dress and the other to  use around the house and watch TV. Get the clear view lenses if you can, it makes a world of difference.
    No one will ever be able to replace Dr. Fenton in my opinion and the whole staff is wonderful and have been with him for years.
    Don't neglect your eyes or put off your appointments. Your eyesight is a gift from God as is your health.
    My Father who is not with us anymore always said when you asked him what he wanted for a gift "Health and Happiness".
    He was right without that no amount of money makes you well or happy.
