  • He was very unprofessional with using the F word constantly and talking about his opinions. Got shocked for 20 min straight with stem and needles in my low back and didn't come to check on me. A needle had started to fall out and was shocking me.

  • Jo seems to be very knowledgeable about yoga and was very pleasant and professional in our private session. With her encouragement I have joined the Sunday evening drop-in class and I enjoy it very much. I'm looking forward to scheduling another massage.

  • The very first visit I had with her was quite long. She said she doesn't usually take that long with a patient, but I had some medical issues going on. She was very thorough. She seemed to have a little hazard. She is a kind of forgetful sort of thing; but she is very good at what she does. She talked about she had to have an eye surgery or something because she has a problem now seeing the needles to get it back out of the patient. She is quiet, but she is really good at what she does. I always had a problem with one of my legs swelling something terrible and it stays down normal for 2 or 4 days without having to wear any special a different hose or column. What I have been following up doing, is actually called as community acupuncture, where one will go and choose several recliners. One would get it for quite a less money. I can do that and I have options there. I can tell her what's the worst thing that I am dealing with at that moment or for that week. I see her every two weeks now because I can't afford every weekend and go everyday to see her. There is no staff and it is only her. She is very friendly and open. It is like pay as you go that day.

  • Somebody gave me a gift card and so I used them. It was a 30 minute massage and my experience was good. It was very quick but it was a nice and clean facility, and they sent a nice follow up post card. Their pricing seemed to be a little bit higher compared to the other places that I have been to.

  • They were excellent.  The treatment generally worked for me, I have gone through different things but this really worked for my condition.  My condition is not really curable so the treatment was not going to be very effective.  They were great people; they handled me very professionally and they knew what they were doing.  I would recommend them to anybody who wanted to know of any acupuncturists.

  • Roxanne has been helping me with back and muscle problems for the past 5 years since my back surgery.

I originally went to see her to help with non-surgical relief.  Prior to the appointment, I wasn't able to bend over at all.  After she worked on my back and leg muscles, I was able to tie my shoes!  What a relief.

I try to keep an active lifestyle and Roxanne has helped relieve pain in my neck and lower back.  My wife and I have appointments with her monthly.  She is wonderful!

Roxanne recently attended a continuing education course on advanced techniques for muscle relaxation and she performed these techniques on me and my wife and it was incredible!  We felt very relaxed and pain free.

I definitely recommend Back and Bodywork by Roxanne.

  • Have been going to her for years.  I thought she was a great therapist with effective results on a theraputic level.  Only complaint I had was that she regularly changed my appointment times with the last straw occurring after a cancelation because of a bad storm.  This was no problem in my mind (that she needed to go home because of the storm)  but when we reset the time for the next day at 7 p.m., she texted me twice the next day as a reminder and then shortly before I was ready to head to the office for a massage, she text me and said "see you at 7:15."  I spoke to her about something always coming up with the time set and expressed the fact that if she would just say, "yes, I need to change your time often because of my family, etc," then I would consider continuing to come to her with that in mind....that the time is never set for certain and I would endeavor to remain flexible.  She did not respond to my conversation but appeared upset that I would bring her punctuality and time dependability up.  The next day (after years of coming to her for massages) she sends me a TEXT MESSAGE and says that she did not like the way I handled the situation with her and that she was canceling my next appointment and that she was discontinuing me.  She blamed it on the fact that I did not understand that her family came first and said, "I will not apologize for being a monther" and made mention to things being out of her hands like the weather.  She also threw in my face that she had to put up with my being late, too. I never made this an issue of the storm cancelation nor her need to be with her family, but rather that it seemed like something always came up to make the time of my appointments change one way or another.  I thought we could work it out and I even told her twice that I was willing to take the "bitter with the sweet" if punctuality was not something I could depend on, I would consider continuing with her because she is a good massage therapist (or so I thought) and was what I thought to be a nice person.  I also sent her a message that this was never about the weather or her family.  I received no other response to this. A day later I realized I had purchased a gift certificate for a massage from her for my daughter which she had not used yet.  I wrote Terri and email letting her  know that because of her attitude toward me and her unprofessionalism that I could not refer anyone to her, especially my daughter and that I "respectfully" requested a refund of the $50.  She then wrote me back and said she did not give refunds and that there was a sign on her desk to that effect.  I let her know I could not see that sign and that I thought she had to give me refund.  This she rebutted and told me to talk to her lawyer and threatened to call my Chiropractor and other massage therapists about me!!!  About which I have no idea of her intentions.  Needless to say, I am out $50 but she is out a valuable customer and friend.

  • They provided some relief to our cat in his last days about 5 years ago since he had lot of problems with arthritis. I have an appointment for Monday to take another cat to them. They charged us about $75 a visit. We had a cat that was getting old and was about 15 or 16 years old. He had trouble with his back, legs and hips. He was limping and wasn’t able to jump up on the couch very well. We heard about this through our vet. So we thought of trying the acupuncture treatment. The acupuncturist explained what went on and showed us how the treatment worked. So we tried a couple of visits. A lot of people don’t believe in such a treatment, but my cat stopped limping. He was able to jump up on the couch and he felt comfortable. We noticed definite improvements in his abilities. It’s hard to measure pain in animals, but he seemed to be in less pain. He had better movements and was more comfortable in what he was doing. We have another cat that’s exhibiting the same kind of symptoms. It has some trouble moving and can’t clean himself very well on his hips. So we wanted to give a try with our current cat to see if it helps him this time too based on our earlier experience that we had with the doctor from Veterinary Alternatives. We were very impressed with that doctor. There are some people who still have hesitancy about acupuncture even though the Chinese have been doing it for thousands of years. Our experience has been very helpful. It helped my cat in easing his struggle with severe arthritis. It allowed him to spend his final days with less pain. We were very impressed with the doctor’s professionalism, the way she went about it and her empathy with our cat. That’s why we decided to try her again.

  • After experiencing chronic pain for 7 years, I became desperate enough to try acupuncture (I am afraid of needles!). I had a very bad experience with acupuncture with another doctor, but Anastasia Christopher was very understanding and took time to put me at ease. I have been receiving treatments for two years now, and the acupuncture has greatly reduced the amount of pain medication I take. More importantly, my quality of life had improved dramatically. I used to spend most of my days on my couch, in too much pain to function. Now, I am able to live an (almost) normal life! Not everyone will have the same results, but I definitely recommend you give it a try if you have a chronic problem and nothing else has worked. Everyone in the practice is caring and helpful. I rarely have to wait for an appointment, and they work to make you as comfortable as possible.
