  • We liked the 'mobile' idea since we had a rescue cat and she was leary of being caged or taken away from us. Angel is a mix breed but mostly Maine **** (a long furry cat that looks like a little lion). When the owner showed up she came into our home and of course our cat was not real excited to see any one new so my daughter got her carrier and she was put in there (no problem). I was asked how I wanted her trimmed.I replied : Bathe her, just thin her out and even her up don't shave her. When she was brought back into our home and let out of the cage she looked like a 'rat' most all of her fur was removed. When I came out of 'shock' I was told she had two really bad mats and she wouldn't have looked right unless she took her fur all the way down. My daughter said she looked like a scissors cut not a 'even' clippers type cut. My biggest concern is she was in our driveway only a few steps from our front door,'why did she not come into the house and ask me to come out and see what she said she had to do before just doing it' ? She was here for less than a half hour and now in my opinion she may have just taken the fastest way to get done and collect the fee. Bathe,cut,dry,and moisturize was supposed to all be done. Maybe her two children were getting restless ,I don't know but we won't be using her services again. Too high of a price for services ( $100 ) and we don't think she acted like the professional she should have been.

  • I left a message and my call was never returned. A friend of mine loves them - they even have a sign in the window that they are accepting new clients. Left my friends name as a referral and still did not receive a call back. Obviously, I went somewhere else.

  • Melanie did an awesome job with Beau. She came to our home and I couldn't believe how quickly our Beau's behavior was changing right before our eyes. She truly has a way with dogs! And her knowledge about how to get them to behave is endless. I read all of her face book post and even send questions on occasions. She's always willing to help me in the right direction to find the answers I need. Thank you Melanie for all of your help.

  • They have always provided excellent friendly service at a very competitive price. I visited several kennels before selecting Oakshadows. The kennels and entire facility are very clean. It is the only kennel that I would consider for boarding involving a long weekend or a long vacation.

  • They accepted our dog without reservation and kept her and all other dogs safely separated. She returned very happy and well cared for, and they were enthusiastic about having her come see them again. They offer Facebook contact while you are away and they provide a back-up collar with her name and the kennels name and number in case she should get away. We were very happy with their service and will definitely utilize their service again! We give them an A+

  • Lisa is gentle, compassionate and truly loves animals. The experience is so much less stressful to your pet when grooming is done in the home. My cats AND my dog hate the car, and this saves both them and me stress -- them, the car ride and other animals, and me the stress of getting 5 animals groomed. I have used Lisa for over a year and a half and have always been delighted with her work. She is careful, gentle, and conscientious.

  • I had had my 5 pet's teeth and vaccinations done there before. I wanted to get them done again.  I had just had their vaccinations done at Pet Supplies Plus the vet their found them in excellent health.  I went to Mellett Animal Hospital to make an appointment for 5 pet cleanings.  I told them that they had been checked and vaccinated already.  They said. We still want to check them out before we do the teeth cleaning". I thought it was one appointment to look them over.  The last time the vet ther took 5 minutes with them.  I missed the appointment. They sent a bill to me for $200.  I called them. They had put me in for 5 one half hour appointments.  2 1/2 hours. They said they called me to notify me of impending appointment.  I checked my phone records. No such call to me was made.  I told them that the bill was excessive.  They told me I shouldn't have so many pets.  Like I said, I take care of my pets. They were just at the Pet Supplies Plus.  They would not take the other vets documentation.  Very frustrated.

  • Our Mini Schnauzer was sick and puking for almost a week. We called and they got her in that day! They did the Fecal Examination to make sure she didn't have worms. Once that was solved and some questions answered they came to the conclusion she just has a sensitive stomach. So they suggested a special bag of special food to try. It solved all of our problems! She no longer pukes and is not as grouchy. And while we were there we asked if there was anything else they recommended us to get done for her. So they gave her the 2 shots. And she did great! Did not feel either one of them or even notice she had a needle in her neck. They are always so nice when we go in there! The Vet is so kind, gentle, and patient! This is my first dog I have ever owned so I don't have a lot of knowledge on dogs. Because of this I always have a lot of questions when we go in and the Vet and his helper are always patient and understanding and so very helpful to take the time to answer all my questions very thoroughly so I understand it.

  • This was my second visit to this vet (first was an exam, shots, and heartworm test for about $150). Both visits there was hardly a wait time, 5-10 minutes tops. I thought that they handled my dog well, and they really took the time to answer all of my questions. I didn't feel rushed and they really made sure that I understood everything that they were telling. To me they are a little expansive, but they are priced about the same as every one else over here (about $100 more than my last vet in anther state). But I don't mind the extra money, for good service. After going to the same vet for 8 years and moving to a new area, I was relived to find a new vet that I felt comfortable with and that my dog and I liked.

  • I went in to buy food for my dog and 2 doses of Flea/Hearworm medication. I was told that the price would over $100. I then asked how much the medicine was. I was told $26.25. I said that if it was that expensive I didn't want it because it was cheaper online. I was then told that it was only $13.13 each. Once I got home, I realized that was charged $26.25 for each dose of heartwom medicine. When I called the office to ask about it, they receptionist confirmed that each dose was $26.25. My dog is under 10 lbs. There is no reason Flea/Heartworm medicine should be this expensive. I've never paid more than $15 for it. When I asked if I could return the medicine I was told that they would authorize it. Only problem, I live 30 minutes away. That makes it an hour drive just to get my refund. On my last trip I thought that the service was OK. After this, I will not be bringing my pets back to their office. I feel like that they could have looked up the online price (since they said they MAY be able to match it), and given me my refund over the phone. This is not good customer service in my book.
