We were very satisfied with the finished product. We have a small kitchen and although the foot print of the kitchen did not change, Dan the owner had a few suggestions for maximizing the cabinet space. It really made a difference. He was very patient and helpful. Our next project is the master bath and we will be sure to call Allustrius to complete the work.

Dan Pritchard and his construction team Wayne, Brian and Tito did a great job on our total first floor remodeling job! Communication was always timely. There was no issue that came up large or small during the project that they didn't provide a quick solution for. and worked with us to implement some new ideas we came up with during construction. The work was high quality and they were there every work day during the project. The price was fair and we even received a refund for items we provided for the project. You couldn't ask for a better contractor or team to execute your remodeling project!

    Alustrius Design & Remodeling
Alustrius met with us to develop a scope of work and then provided a quote in a week or so time. Once we agreed on the scope Alustrius gave us a tentative start date and we discussed businesses to visit to select materials from (cabinets, counter tops, plumbing fixtures, paint, lighting, and flooring). Communications with Alustrius was made easy through email, texting, and phone calls. We experienced timely responses. Once construction began we did go through some scope changes (additions) which were handled well by Alustrius. The budget impacts were communicated in a timely fashion. The craftsmen did an excellent job, were dependable, and had a great work ethic. Any issues we identified were corrected or modified with no hesitation. The work areas were kept reasonably clean and we were able to live in and around the construction site. We would not hesitate to hire Alustrius again for future remodeling projects.

    Canton Cut Stone Co
Three years ago we hired Canton Cut Stone to add counter tops to our newly refurbished kitchen. Their selection and service at that time was great. They had a great selection of marble and worked with us to select the one we wanted. It was installed professionally and we were happy with it. They also installed an undermount sink. At the time we asked them about it dropping out and how it was attached. They said they would stand behind the work and it was epoxied with clamps to the underside of the granite. Fast forward three years to when the left side of the sink dropped down about two inches. I discovered that the epoxy clamps had broken loose from the granite. Went to Canton Cut Stone with the old clamps. Was told there was only a one year warranty on the workmanship but they would be glad to send someone out to repair it. The cost would have been about $300 for service call and reintallment. I asked if this is going to happen every few years and was told they cannot control how the sink is used. Was told people have stood in the sink and then wanted a repair. I am 70 years old and standing in a sink is not something I would do! I decided to forgo their service and fixed it myself with a few screws and some pieces of wood. It is as good as new and will never drop out again. The method I used was exactly the same way they had mounted the right hand side of the sink initially. I have no idea why they used epoxy and clamps on the left hand side. I would not recommend this company. They will not stand behind their work after one year even though they told us not to worry a about the sink falling out. Thank goodness I haven't had s major problem with the granite. This is one of the problems in our country: poor workmanship at a high cost and the greed of companies. $300 to do a 15 minute job that I as a homeowner could easily do! Ridiculous!

    Hughes Kitchen & Bath
Everything went fine. They were able to design a very open combined kitchen and dining room in a very small home. They were able to start earlier than expected and they were done in the stated time. Everything went smoothly and the builder, John did a wonderful job. He kept us informed about anything that might affect us: cutting off the water or electricity since we were both around a lot during the construction. We also had 4 cats and a dog and we all lived in the living room and bedroom and used the basement for a kitchen. John made things much less stressful!

Boyd Construction, Restoration & Hardwood Floors
It went very well. Having never done such before, we learned a lot along the way! Steve, Jen and the crew were easy to work with. Any concerns were dealt with professionally. High quality was expected by everyone connected with Boyd. We were especially impressed with how the crew worked as a team and worked the entire time they were on site. We are very happy with the end results all around!

    Alustrius Design & Remodeling
We were extremely pleased with our experience working with Alustrius Design and Remodeling's (330-705-4193) Dan Pritchard and Wayne Knepper - in remodeling our two upstairs bathrooms in September and October,2016. Both bathrooms were custom designed, and included extensive tile work ( floors, shower, accent walls), granite counter tops, cherry cabinetry, glass shower and tub doors, etc. Dan Pritchard, the owner was wonderful to work with - he was very professional and dependable; he was always on time for appointments, very patient with all questions, and very importantly, brought both bathrooms in slightly under our agreed upon budget! His chief workman, Wayne Knepper, was also great to work with - he was extremely dependable and hard-working, highly skilled in all areas of the remodeling, very trustworthy (we were gone for several days on a couple of occasions), and several times had very helpful suggestions about how to improve our own design ideas. We could not have been more pleased with the work of both Dan and Wayne. We have recommended them highly to friends and neighbors, and will continue to do so. They were both a pleasure to work with.

    Ohio Home Improvement
Ohio Home Improvement, Inc, Tallmadge, OH  -  March 2015
    1.    Impressive Start
At the outset Mike Eid, Pres, OHII, spent over 1 hour discussing their business model built on quality, OHII and customer expectations.  We discussed ?How we do Business? and what kind of people we liked having work for us.  Mike Eid explained that once he starts a job that his people stay on that job until finished and that they don?t like surprises any more than do customers.  He will call out before he starts any and all foreseeable problem areas and include them in proposal or call them out as ?expense to be determined.

    2.    Talk the talk - Walk the walk
The first day was impressive.  It was a day of demolition for refurbishing.  The crew showed up at 745a and were ready to start at 8a.  This continued ? Start at 8a Quit at 5p. Work like crazy in between.  Also impressive was the crew could speak the same quality and ?Do it Right? philosophy of the owner.  At the end of the day, the demo dirt, debris and clutter was cleaned up before they left. That practice happened every workday and greatly reduced dirt tracking and dust spreading.  Make sure your contractor does this and does it well.

    3.    Keeping It Clean
On their own, the lead workman (project manager) purchased a case of additional furnace filters and replaced them about 7-10 days.  Great move!  The conditions in this ?bare to the walls project were very very dirty and that?s good! This was incredible.

     4.    Unforeseen Problems
In first week there were unforeseen problems.  Mike Eid, Owner, consulted with his crew and outside professional tradesmen when necessary so that he could discuss options and guide us to a good decision.  Because it involved foundational plumbing in our 56 year old house we wanted it fixed- fixed right.  This instilled even more confidence in OHII.  Mike Eid was always looking to minimize additional extra expense for us yet make sure that the solution was in line with our expectations of quality.

     5.    Attention to Detail
Their quality is demonstrated even the smallest things. The framing carpenter noticed that one of the vertical stud was slightly splitting and took it upon himself to mail a ?sister? stud to it to shore it up. This attention to detail was typical in fixture placement, stair case finish carpentry, wood floor installation, tile work and painting. We are fanatics with such detail and so was OHII.  Good combination.

Bottom line: The owner and crew at Ohio Home Improvement are among the best that we ever have dealt with. They insist on ?Done Right- Done Well?; they arrive 7:50a and hammer and saw by 8:00a; consult if there was a question; clean-up every day; protect the homeowner from drastic surprises and STAY WITHIN BUDGET. Our lower level is fabulous and exceeded our expectations.
Conclusion:  With our highest recommendation, if you are considering small, medium or large renovation or additions to your home give Ohio Home Improvement a call and opportunity. You be glad you did because it will be done right and you can sleep at night.

The crew was very professional, neat and efficient.  The job was very quickly completed and caused minimal disruption to my daily routine as they were able to work around my schedule and always had everything cleaned up when I returned home after work.  The project was completed in 6 days.   Communication with Steve was very easy and he was always available for discussion about how the project was proceeding and if any problems had come up.  I would highly recommend them for remodeling and construction projects;  I would not hesitate to use them again in my next project!
