    Advance Heating and Cooling
    On Friday 7/19/19 I called Advance Heating and Cooling to diagnose a problem with my A/C. When the tech, Shawn arrived, he took the cover off of the furnace, reached inside and told me that the blower motor was out. He never did any other tests to rule out any options that wouldn't involve me replacing the entire unit. Afterwards he gives me an invoice for 935.00 that states that I needed a blower motor and a motor mount kit. I was also charged 89.00 for the service fee. After researching the issue and seeing that the "diagnosis" that the tech gave (by sticking his hand in the furnace), was rare, I opted to get a 2nd opinion. The HVAC handyman that I asked to check the unit ran an electrical test. He was then able to conclude that it was not the blower motor, but in fact, the compressor. The total for the repair was 70.00 vs. the 935.00 that Advance tried to charge me. After I called Advance to explain the situation and request the diagnostic fee back, they had the manager (who was not involved in the service call) call me back to explain that although his tech did not go through the necessary measures to diagnose the issue, that there was nothing that he could do about the fee.

    They cancelled on me twice. As an existing customer, I would expect to maintain an appointment made weeks in advance vs getting bumped. My appointment typically takes less than 20 minutes but was cancelled because there were too many call ins for inoperative A/C's. My appointment was before the heat of summer kicked in.

    Eric is a very soft spoken and to the point person when explaining the problem and options for repairing. He was easy to talk to and ask questions. I felt confident that the replacement part and installation of it was quick and efficient. I was impressed and pleased with the whole experience. I purchased a maintenance agreement so I can have two checkups a year. I thought this would be a good investment since my furnace is 15 years old. Repair with part was $79 + maintenance agreement

    I called in Friday morning with no heat and they were out by one. Got it working and had to order a part. Scheduled for Wednesday morning and showed up at 8:15 am and were done in 20 minutes. Everyone I dealt with was professional and very friendly. Very happy with service especially with record low temperatures.

    Great job ! TRANE two stage S9V2 120000 BTU AND 4 TON A coils , and make duck work mods . I had some issues with heating last year as well as cooling on hot days . Brian Smith came out looked at what I had going on and I wanted changes made that other HVAC contractors refused to do . Its somewhat complex ! Brian had a good understanding of the issues and even suggested a better change with the AC A coils . 4 other HVAC contractors did not even have a clue about the issues ,and one though I was nuts . The crew came ready to work and on time . install and duck work changes took about 2 days . System was running , with a minor issue , Brian came back himself a few days later on time and made the final adjustments and checks . The crew cleaned up good and used shoe covers to protect my carpeting . GOOD JOB BRIAN and THANKS !

    Overall, the installation went well. They were punctual for both the initial consult and the install. The sales rep was very responsive to my questions, and the lead installer seemed very knowledgeable. The entire crew was very respectful and personable. They were very cautious when bringing equipment in or out, and did not leave any marks on the walls, which was a pleasant surprise. Due to some code issues, they needed to re-route my exhaust. My only complaint would be with the clean up effort. Both times they were out, they left a bit of a mess i.e. pvc filings were left all over the basement and insulation was removed to install the new exhaust and was not put back (it was just left laying on my desk). I plan on having them come back out to clean the air ducts and for a fall check up.

    Service Olympians installed a whole house humidifier at my home back in November, and it made a real difference in the comfort of the house (with gas heat) over the winter. When I attempted to turn on our air conditioner yesterday I found the outdoor unit would not come on. After a quick inspection of the furnace I noted that one of the control wires to the air conditioner was not connected. I contacted them this morning and they were out a few hours later to address the problem. They promptly corrected the situation (no charge of course) and apologized for any inconvenience. This is an example of a minor oversight handled in an excellent manner. Thank you !

    Clint and the rest of the staff at Valiant Heating and cooling were absolutely AMAZING. They were incredibly kind, quick and knowledgeable. They were able to get my older system up an running without issue in just a few hours. Their customer service is absolutely fantastic, the Technicians are GREAT. I cant say enough about Valiant except that after my experience with them, I will not go anywhere else. Chris

    Fine. I was a little skeptical at first, when the $350 offer was for a low end base model that nobody puts in, and the upgrade was $80 more. But overall it's a good value and the house humidity is improved this winter.
