    Rising Height Unlimited
    Let me start by saying I have never had so much trouble finding a company to do a job. I called eight, EIGHT, companies before I found Rising Height Unlimited. Either no one called me back, our job was "too small", or they wanted to charge us an outrageous amount. I called Rising Height and they were very professional on the phone. The lady told me it would be a few weeks before someone could come out and give us a quote, so to get an estimate I could text Mike with a picture and explanation of what we wanted done. I did that, and got a very fair estimate from Mike. We made arrangements for them to do the job for us. My only complaint (if you could call it that) was that they were to arrive between 8-9 am on the day of the job. They were late, and because of my previous experience trying to get someone to do the work, I may have panicked. It turned out they were completing a job for another customer and were running a bit late. I was completely okay once I realized they were running behind and didn't stand me up. (: They got to our house at 10:30am the first day. They did the job in three days and did excellent work. We have a knockdown ceiling and since we were repairing only the kitchen part of the ceiling, it was going to take some work to match the texture. Mike's guys did a great job. I am very happy with all the work they did, the time it took to do it, and the quality of the job done. I would definitely hire them again.

    Nutter Handyman Services
    First of all, Nutter Handyman does NOT give free estimates, contradictory to what it states in Angie's List. So beware. They charged us $90 to come out and give us an estimate on the work we wanted done, but said it would be reimbursed if we decided to use them. Initially, I was impressed with Nutter. They were courteous on the phone and they notified me of the car the worker would be driving, and what he would be wearing. I thought that was great from a safety standpoint. My husband was home for the estimate. He said the gentleman who came out seemed very knowledgeable, and was nice, punctual, etc. My husband explained to him that we needed an itemized quote so that we could return it to our insurance company to be reimbursed for the work. Our insurance company required this information from us, since they had already paid us a predetermined amount, but because we couldn't get the work done for the amount we were given, they said an itemized quote would allow us to be reimbursed for the difference. The gentleman said he would do this for us. After looking at what we needed done, he said it would not be possible to do the work for $1800 (what our insurance paid), but that we would be under $5000. That sounded reasonable to us, and since he said he would itemize the quote we weren't worried about it. They came on a Thursday. We waited over the weekend to hear back from them with the quote, and didn't hear anything back. We called mid-week the next week, to check the progress of the quote, and were told that the guy would email us when it was finished. We called again the following Monday, and they said we would receive the quote within the next day or two. In all, it took about a week and a half to get the quote back. When we got the quote, it was not itemized. What's worse, was they wanted $11,000 to do what the guy told us could be done for under $5000 (we needed the master bath retiled, a toilet put in, a few sheets of drywall installed in the kitchen, and cabinets rehung). They're quotes are not easy to read either, and there was no total on the page. Rather, there was a total for each section of the quote, and they had our bathroom listed on there twice. I emailed them and asked them if they could please itemize the quote, and the woman who responded, said she checked with the owner and the man who came out for the estimate and they do not itemize quotes. I told them thanks and that we would be going with someone else. I had been excited at the prospect of having found someone we could trust to do the work, only to be disappointed and angry when they didn't do what they said they would do. Lowes is doing our bathroom, and charged us the same amount for TWO bathrooms that Nutter wanted for one. I anticipate being able to get our kitchen done for another $2000 at most.

    he had to pick up the over head fan at home depot for me because I am disabled , I called many others listed on the web and all others said they would not pick up a fan for me ' that tough to bad ' . they would only install it . he did a great job , cleaned up real nice , he had to make a few trips to home depot , but still finished it all done in one day .

    The work didn't get done due to him lying about other materials that was suppose to be ordered and him becoming rude and threatening. I ask for my deposit to be refunded and it took two weeks to get most of it back. I don't recommend him for services and always pay through Angie's list.

    I spoke with D.L Blankenship about the job, explained the urgency and emailed him the paperwork to see what all needed done. He made a comment that he didn't even know he was on Angie's List and refused invitations to join. Anyway, he said he would look it over and get with me the next day. I never heard from him again. Even though I left a couple messages for him. He could have emailed and or text to say he couldn't do the work. However, he just wasted a couple days of my time and never called back.

    I had a piece of siding missing on the front side of the home and I had a piece that was cracked on the back side of the home; not thinking they would be able to find siding to match; I requested that the new piece be put on the back and use the old piece for the front so it would match; they found the same color and put the new piece on the back side and was able to use the old piece for the front and did a great job!

    I can not express enough how proffesional the service was from start to finish. Greeted by a welcoming staff member upon calling. Estimate was immidiatly schedueled within a few days. The handyman came out gave me a thorough explanation of estimate and was out within 10 days to do the repair. Two things that impressed me most was the extra mile my handyman went to insure my husbands well being. I had posted a sign on the door asking anyone who comes in to use sanitizer because my husbands immune system was weak due to chemotherapy he had been receiving. My handyman sanitized several times during the project without being prompted and even when his hands were dirty after the project was completed he placed latex gloves on his hands so he could shake my husbands hand and thank him for choosing Handyman Matters. The second thing was that the company also did a follow up call as well as wrote us a hand written thank you letter. Its these little details beyond a great repair job that seperates Handyman Matters from their competition. Extremely satisfied!

    The project began with an evening consultation in our house with Joey.  We were very impressed not only with his promptness but also with the thoroughness of his overview of the project process and options available to us.  He quickly turned around an initial estimate that helped formulate the direction of our remodel.  In the interim, we evaluated other options but didn't find anything that mirrored what Joey had presented.  After the initial visit, we followed up with an impromptu visit to the Luxury Bath showroom. While there, Joey spent quality time with us reviewing material and design options.  He listened to our concepts and helped refine them in order to enable us to envision what a final remodel might look like.  Our next experience came when we sat down with Joey to make our final product selections.  Again, he spent the appropriate time with us to help select all of the numerous design components.  He also joined us at a local building supply store to help us select flooring.  This hands on planning process resulted in a project plan that we were extremely excited about.  Once the project began, it was managed by Andy.  Andy was extremely detailed in all phases of the remodeling process.  He protected our home during the demolition process which was of extreme importance to us.  He also identified and corrected some  legacy issues that needed attention that we might not have otherwise been aware of.  The installation process mirrored the demo, Andy and team were diligent in their craftsmanship.  This included asking us detailed questions about some finer points of the remodel and making suggestions for modifications based on their expertise.  This resulted in a much better final product.  Also during the construction phase, Andy and the team were punctual and met our timeline expectations.  The dedication to quality that Andy and his team demonstrated during their time in our home is reflected in the awesome master bath we now enjoy.  While Joey and Andy were our primary contacts during the project, we also received outstanding service from others in the company including; Michelle, Debbie, Clayton, Levi, Matt and Jim. Finally on a closing note, we have another bathroom that we plan to remodel.  We will look no further than Luxury Bath!
