Garage Door Repair And Installation reviews in Canal Winchester

The technician was very professional, polite and did the job in a timely manner. He put the opener light bulbs in, and checked my door springs and even lubed the door. It was much quieter after he did that. Everything looks nice and works so much better after Apex was here. I highly recommend them, and will contact them if and when I need anything else garage door related! Very pleased!

It was around 3 winters ago that I recalled hearing a noise in the garage. I even had enough sense to think that it may have been a torsion spring that broke. Yet, when I checked the cold and dark garage, nothing looked out of place. Then, over the past couple winters my Genie garage door opener would sometimes fail to raise the door completely (typically when the temperatures where below freezing). It would require just a little help from me pushing it up. I didn't realize one of the two torsion springs had actually broken. I didn't realize that the torsion springs were within a tube on my Wayne Dalton door (TorqueMaster One torsion springs...they have setting dials on both ends...originally installed in 2004). Then, on a Sunday this past May, the other torsion spring broke. That is when it really gets your attention. That is when an opener cannot possibly open the door, and it makes terrible noise in its attempt to do so (as it becomes toast). That is when you realize just how heavy your garage door truly is (mine is 171 pounds). For the past few years I had been thinking about getting a garage door opener that had backup power. Now I was forced into action. With a visit to Angie's list, and based on reviews, I made the decision to select Columbus Door Sales, LLC. I sent them a message thru this service, and Monday morning I got a prompt callback. By then I had done my homework, understood what had occurred, and what I wanted (Liftmaster 8550W). Greg D arrived right on time that Monday afternoon. He was courteous, and very efficient as he went right about his work. He showed me how to properly lube the garage door. He even asked if I would like to have him remove the manual garage door lock, as it has drawbacks if locked, forgotten, and then one doesn't unlock the door before engaging the opener. I saw my neighbor across the street have that happen to them, which was a very costly repair for them, so I took Greg up on his offer. Greg also assisted in getting my Homelink programmed in my 2017 car, and explained why my older 2005 car with Homelink wouldn't work (newer frequency standards). Besides the immense benefit of being able to enter and exit during a power outage, the LiftMaster 8550W also allows me to control and monitor the garage door via an app on my iPhone. The app has worked excellent. How nice to know that if needed I could allow a family member that doesn't live with us entry into our house, as besides being able to control my alarm, I can now control the garage door remotely. It has been an excellent tech upgrade. I couldn't be happier with the work by Greg D of Columbus Door Sales. I HIGHLY recommend this company. The $815 price reflects replacing two torsion springs for my 7-foot garage door for a two-car garage, replacing my old Genie with a backup power & internet capable LiftMaster 8550W opener, 1 keypad, & 2 remotes. The motor and belt have a lifetime warranty, parts 5 years, and the accessories and battery backup come with a 1 year warranty.

Great! I can't remember the employee's name but he knew immediately what was wrong with it when I called. He is definitely an expert when it comes to garage openers. There was no pressure to buy anything, he showed up on time and there were no surprises when it came time to pay the bill.

He arrived promply, figured out the problem and also adjusted the opener connection in my car so I could use it. He mentioned that my garage door opener is quite old and not a reliable company so it might be good to consider changing it sometime. He gave me a good price to do so but did not push in any way. Very nice guy and I would definitely use him again!

After my garage door torsion spring broke I called and scheduled an appointment for the very next day. I purchased a new garage door opener from them as well as I've been meaning to replace my existing opener since the light no longer worked and you had to be almost right next to the door to open it with the remotes. I was given a three hour window for the appointment and they arrived within the first hour of the scheduled window. I didn't really pay attention to the fact that I had requested a two spring replacement as I only have one spring on my garage door but he let me know that the price for the spring replacement was cheaper than quoted because of this without my prompting which shows their honesty and commitment to fixing whats needed. He replaced the broken spring, installed the new garage door opener and performed the garage door tuneup in just over an hour without issue even with me chatting with him about this and that the entire time. Quality service at a fair price. I'll recommend them to everyone I know that needs garage door work. Thanks for making an issue with a broken garage door so painless and so quickly remedied. P.S. my new remotes and old universal remotes work at least several houses away from my garage now.

They arrived when they said they would. The gentleman knew what he was doing. I explained a few issues we were having such as the keyless entry pad not working and a gap between the weather stripping and the garage door. He did a lot more than we expected. We got the a new wireless, keyless entry pad as well as new nylon rollers for the door for no extra charge. He also fixed the gap in the garage door and weather stripping. He lubed the garage door spring and adjusted the tension on the door opener.
I would highly recommend Door Depot LLC to anyone looking for maintenance on a garage door or looking to replace a garage door. We were very satisfied with the work.

They were able to be on-site the morning after I called them.  My son's car was "trapped" in the garage - raising the door without a spring in place would be difficult and possibly dangerous.  They arrived pretty much on time and had all the work completed within an hour - for less than I thought it would cost.  The door runs great and is much quieter thanks to the new rollers.  The tech was very nice and professional.  I will be having them return to "redo" the small garage door later this summer.

I called around 7:30am on the 13th when my garage door would not open due to a single broken torsion spring. I was told that they had an appointment that afternoon near my home and would be able to fit me in for a same-day appointment!  They said that they would be out either before or after their 2-3pm appointment.  As promised, Mike arrived somewhere between 3 and 3:15pm.  He quoted me a reasonable price up front ($189.00 - broken out below)...I researched the price of torsion springs online before I had the repairs done and knew they could cost between $40-$80 each.  Since the door and components were 15 years old, he recommended replacing both sides of the torsion spring and the main spring leading to the motor housing.  I agreed and, in total, all parts cost $124.00.  The labor for the service call was $65.00 - but it was worth every penny.  In addition to replacing the three springs, Mike also did a tune-up on the door and rollers.  The garage door has NEVER been more quiet.  Plus, he gave me some tips for annual maintenance and products that I could get at Lowe's/Home Depot that could keep the door running smoothly for years to come.  I will definitely use them again and have already recommended them to family.  Thank you and keep up the good work!!!!

Scott was awesome! Professional, and was able to fit us in quite quickly. Knew exactly what to do to fix the issue (Our sensors weren't working right and we could not get the garage door to close.). We would recommend!  thanks Scott!

Good customer service is nearly impossible to come across these days, however Weaver is an exception that assumption.  The rep. (Lewis) came out at no charge to help lift the garage door so I could remove my car, made a second trip to replace the spring and returned at no cost to make an adjustment to the door that was a preexisting concern.  Weaver responded to my service request within minutes each time and arrived at the house within a half hour.  Lewis was knowledgeable, courteous and definitely went above and beyond.
