    Truline Remodeling and Painters
The project was bid for 10 days but was completed in 5 days. The Truline staff was friendly and courteous. They took extra precautions to keep the dust down, which was appreciated as I have a toddler and was 8 months pregnant at the time. The completed garage ceiling was good and the banister was beautiful. Unfortunately, our bathroom remodel was unacceptable. A summary of the completed bathroom is as follows: - The subway tile grout installed in the shower area was two different colors upon completion. Truline staff admitted to buying 2 different brands of grout and not mixing the bags together. - Truline removed original tile throughout the bathroom and installed drywall/used drywall compound. Finish work was not good - excess mud was not removed, spots were not filled in all the way, small holes were left above the tile in the shower area, and remaining tile grout was left on the door trim. - Truline painted the bathroom ceiling and walls. Lines were sloppy and paint was left on light fixtures. Additionally, underneath the vanity was not painted. - Truline installed baseboard. The baseboard material used was of poor quality (not wood and is already peeling) and was not installed underneath the vanity. - Caulking was not completed around the shower doors - one side was caulked while the other side was not caulked. - There was a leak underneath the sink. - Attic insulation was falling from the newly installed ceiling fan. The aforementioned issues were addressed with the Truline owner via phone. The Truline owner sent a staff member to remedy the issues the next business day. All issues were rectified to our satisfaction with the exception of the leaking sink and ceiling fan. In regards to the leaking sink, the staff member concluded the leak was originating from one of the shut off valves. The leak was not repaired. As for the ceiling fan, the staff member went into the attic and reconnected the exhaust hose. He stated that if falling insulation continued to be a problem we could put a cardboard box over the hole. We contacted a plumber to fix the leaking sink. Immediately, the plumber determined that the leak was due to the lack of a trap installed underneath the sink. We also hired a separate contractor to inspect the ceiling fan as we continued to have issues with insulation falling from the fan. He determined that the ceiling fan was too small for the original opening, and basically, a hole was left in the ceiling causing the insulation to fall. Truline never addressed the fan being too small with us. Although part of the project was completed to satisfaction (garage ceiling and banister), the bathroom remodel was a combination of unfinished tasks and poor/sloppy workmanship. In our opinion, a lot of these issues were a result of Truline rushing the project. It was especially disheartening to have to hire additional professionals (a plumber and a 2nd contractor) to finish the project considering Truline advertises themselves as being proficient in carpentry and plumbing. We would not recommend this company to anyone.

    Northcoast Painting And Pressure Washing
I had a stairway and upstairs landing along with a dining room redone.  The dining room was a last minute decision and it certainly didn't bother Dave to make the changes.  There was a crew of 2 men, Buddy and Kyle, I think were their names.  They showed up on time, were courteous and professional.  THEY WORKED!  Dave checked in daily and made sure things were going as planned.  His price was very reasonable and he did not take a cent until the job was finished and I was happy. Will I hire them again?  ABSOLUTELY and I can't wait.  Those rooms are beautiful.  This is a far cry from the last company I used. This was a completely stress free remodel.  I will not use anyone else.  Thank you Dave, Buddy and Kyle.

    Farnsworth Interiors Drywall & Plaster
Went fine.  Ron was on time and responded to my questions.  Mike did a super job with the work and matched the texture perfectly.  He was efficient and cleaned up the area nicely.  I would have them do any drywall repairs in the future.

Scott was very polite and professional and showed up on time to provide the free estimate. We scheduled a day that worked for us, and his workers showed up on time and were efficient and professional. They did exactly what we had discussed. His price was lower than other estimates, and they did a great job! We will definitely use them for our next paint job and highly recommend them!!

Upon arrival at the store we were greeted by Dave (salesman).  Very friend guy and he asked what we were looking for.  He showed us around but then let us look on our own.  We spent approximately 1 hour in the store and Dave kept checking on us but was not overbearing.  We decided to think about our purchase and Dave gave us his business card and told us about a special that was going to start the next day.  We returned to the store the next day and asked to speak to Dave.  Dave showed us a couple other selections that he thought we might like.  We eventually decided on a sectional, chair/ottoman, coffee table, carpet and some accessories.  Dave was very helpful and an excellent salesman.  Dave informed us that our furniture would be delivered in a few weeks because they did not have a couple pieces in stock. We were fine with this as we were not ready to take delivery immediately.  At this point is where the issues started.
Four weeks later we were still waiting on our furniture.  No phone calls from Levin's advising us that our furniture was going to take longer to be delivered than expected.  I finally called Levin's and was told they were still waiting on a few pieces of furniture.  I asked how much longer it was going to take and they advised a couple more weeks.  Another week passed and I called again and was advised it was going to take a little longer as they were still waiting on the chair and ottoman.  I again expressed my frustration and the customer service agent offered nothing but a simple "I am sorry".  We continued to wait and just received our delivery on 4/25.  We ended up waiting 9 weeks total for our furniture that was supposed to only take 2 weeks.
Basically we had a good sales experience and the guys who delivered the furniture were great.  However customer service after the sale is terrible at Levin's.  No follow up on their part, I had to keep calling myself.  If you are in a hurry for furniture go somewhere else.  Our sales experience was GREAT with Dave, but after they get your money they seem not to care.

I called Rick 5 weeks in a row and only got voice mail.  I called Levin 3 weeks in a row and told them how Rick their repair person would not return my calls.  They promised he would call and schedule a repair.  NEVER HAPPENED.  This is an $800 chair!  The repair should have only cost $120.  Yet we could not get Levin to even contact us.   Finally, we purchased something at Casey Furniture in Canton.  I mentioned the problem we were having with Levin not even responding to us to get a Lane recliner fixed.  Casey Furniture picked up our broken chair at no charge, repaired the warranted mechanism and not only that they added stuffing and repaired a broken board in the chair all for $95.   They did this in the span of ONE WEEK.  I will never buy anything from Levin Furniture again.  Ever.  Casey Furniture has the best sales and service of any furniture store I have ever used.

    Artisan Countertop Builders Inc
We had decided to replace our old plastic-laminate kitchen countertops with solid-surface countertops, so we visited the showrooms and factories of two of the companies we found on Angie's List. We decided on an LG Hausys product. So we then talked with, and requested quotes from the two companies we visited, and a third company, all of which offered the product we wanted. As we expected, there wasn't a big difference in price among the 3 companies. The matter of which company to choose was made very easy for us. Artisan Countertop Builders, Inc. offered the most competitive price, but we would have chosen them regardless. Brian Klatt, one of the owners, instilled a very high level of confidence in us that they could supply exactly what we wanted, in the manner we wanted. We wanted a particular degree of matte finish, so before we signed a purchase agreement with them they were happy to provide us a large sample article, against which we could judge the final product. We also needed two special and quot;spacerand quot; treatments on one of the backsplashes to accommodate electrical outlets which were installed in the old backsplashes. They offered a very reasonable price for fabricating and installing the outlet spacers as part of their quote. We chose Artisan for the job.
Brett Klatt, the other owner, really delivered on the installation. We are very pleased with the workmanship and attention to detail, and we are completely satisfied. Both Brian and Brett told us that if we found anything in the job that needed attention to let them know.

Would we recommend them to our friends? Indeed we would.

Everything worked out fine. I do a lot of my own things and they were really nice and came out to give us an estimate. They had 18 months with no interest, which was a plus. They follow-up with you to make sure the quality of the service was to your liking.

Rich installed a new front door, lock and hardware for me around a year ago and I've since had problems w/the lock.  Finally, it wouldn't turn at all so I called Rich.  He responded quickly, took the entire lock apart and fixed it.  He didn't charge me a cent.  Rich is the best.
Last year when we had a really bad storm w/high winds and rain, my garage ceiling was leaking badly .  Again, I called him and he came right out and fixed it.  I didn't know until later that his home was hit worse than mine.  He was ankle deep in water in his basement, his tools were ruined as were his water heater and washer/dryer and he had no electricity but still he serviced my home before tackling his own.  Now that's dedication.  Just recently, he had an accident and got a concussion so he missed a little bit of work but as soon as he was feeling better, he got right back to work, did some odd jobs for me and serviced his other customers' needs as well.  I can't say enough good things about this guy.

The experience started off well, we picked the product from the place we purchased our kitchen cabinets. We were able to go to the warehouse to pick out our slab, however when we arrived they were out of our style but told us more slabs were being delivered tomorrow. The problem was that the warehouse was located over 45 minutes from our home, not sure if this was an error on the kitchen supplier but it was a waste of time. The second day we visited we got to pick out our slab and the sales person was friendly. The following week they came to our home to make a template. Then we drove back out to the warehouse to place our template on the slab we picked out. Some of the people at the warehouse were unfriendly. Also when trying to find out when they were coming out to our home to template or install the counter tops they never seemed to know, I was told they don't make out the delivery schedule until the morning of that day so my husband or myself had to take off work. When they installed there was a film left on the counter top. The owner of the company told me to use straight accetone to remove any debris. I asked if that would take off my sealer he said no. I asked them to come back out because I didn't feel comfortable using a product like that. They did come back out and removed the sealer with straight acetone (I thought that was ironic) and resealed. The surface is better but I'm done dealing with this company.
