Hvac Repair reviews in Brookville

    Ribbits Heating and Air
The gentleman who came to do the repair was polite, thorough, and explained everything to me in a way I could understand. Problem fixed at a fair price. Unfortunately, he didn't show until 6.5 hours after the original appointment, though there was communication throughout the day. Still an inconvenience when I stayed home from work for the appointment, had to work late to make up for it, and then had to leave work again only to sit and wait for nearly an hour.

    Logan A/C & Heat Services
Picture of our new furnace also ac unit installed also. They were installed on 10/12 and I must say it was a professional job. Jake and his partner were on time and their workmanship was fantastic. Love the new units, our house heat is more even throughout the house. I will recommend Logan and Trane units when asked. Good Job to Logan AC & Heat Services.

    New Comfort Heating & Cooling
Simple installation, only took about 20 minutes. I have never been so ridiculously overcharged for a service in my life. It was negative temperatures outside and I had been without heat for 14 hours. This company took advantage of the situation.

Extreme's One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning
Everything from the first phone call to the last correspondence on site was perfect. My wife and I own and operate our own small business and understand full well how a business should be represented by all employees and theirs was represented superbly. Communication, our expectations after consultation and the finish product was all spot on! The crews were here two long days and we fed them pizza for dinner both nights to show our appreciation for their hard work.  The areas were cleaned up spotlessly, they even cleaned up and buttoned up some work left by the plumbers, thanks.  Will, and have already referred this company to everyone we know.

They did okay when they came out, but, boy, were they expensive. They charged me $300 for the Freon and another $104 for the house call. It was going to be close to $1,000 in labor to repair it. The part was still under warranty. The whole system was installed in 2011. That was pretty new, you know? They came out on time and the guy was alright; I did not have any problem. Their responsiveness was good.

He did the check and gave suggestions on what needed to be updated. When I asked for a quote, he said the and quot;officeand quot; needed to do quotes and then I never heard back.

Really like this company.  We have a leak of Freon in our a/c (heat too since we have geothermal).  They advised the leak was too small to spend the time and money to locate.  Advised that we keep track of the next time we need Freon so we can monitor the leak.  It may be 2 years before we experience this again.  Once the leak is large enough to pinpoint., then a repair will be made.

    Drake Heating & Air
It went great!  They were done in one day and they didn't leave a mess.  We were so happy with their work.  We had used them in the past.  They helped us keep our old unit going, with getting piece to replace when other Heating Air wouldn't even look to see that they could replace it.  That is why we went with Drake.  They always try to do what the customer wants.  Very good service.  They will be doing our twice a year matenence on the unit.

Kelly Heating & Air Conditioning Inc
Tell us the story from start to finish (10,000 character limit): I paid my bill in full. I was told after I paid the bill I owed #300.00 for the gas line to connect furnace to house line. I had already been billed $499.98 for black  iron Gas line connection for the new furnace. Including permit and pressure testing. As of 01/23/2013 there has been no permit or test done by Kelly's as per contract causing me to not be able to get a meter installed. I received a call from Kelly's Heating Secretary that the permit was at the city of Brookville. I said that along with the permit the pressure test had been paid for by me and it would have to be done. City said Kelly's hadn't paid for the permit (had been applied for but not paid for). I had paid Kelly's for the permit. About 15 minutes later Dan the owner called and said he wasn't going to pay for the permit or test or give me the three year service warranty. Told me he had a suit in his closet and would see me in court. The furnace was changed to Tempstar from American Standard without contacting me.

    UPDATE 2/13/2013:

On Nov. 19, 2012 I received a Bid from Kelly's Heating and Air for a new furnace for 112 Westbrook road. The bid was marked Invoice before the job was even done. On Nov. 20, 2012 I gave Loyld Kelly a deposit for $400.00. Told him the balance would be paid on Dec. 05,2012. The furnace was finished on Nov. 26, 2012. I went to Kelly's office and paid the balance of my Invoice. I returned tools that his workers had left on the job. The Secretary wrote on my invoice paid Balance Due - $2332.11, Dec. 04, 2012. She then told me I owed $300.00 more. Told her I didn't owe anything. She called Lloyd and I ask him why I owed $300.00 more. He told me for flex line to hook up new furnace to house line. I said I was charged $499.88 for black iron gas line connection (from riser to new furnace house line.) Including permit and pressure testing. There was no black iron, permit or testing done. I ask him why he changed the black iron to flex line and he told me it was cheaper. I feel he owes me the difference. As of Jan./ 30/2013 none of this was delivered. My furnace was suppose to be an American Standard Furnace 135,000 BTU. After talking to Lloyd he switched the furnace to a 135,000 BTU  but it was a down grade furnace. Temp star without my knowing. After writing to BBB on Jan. 28,2013 I received nasty phone calls from Kelly Heating. I was also told the permit was at the city of Brookville by Dan, owner of Kelly's. That was not true. On the 30th of Jan. my wife was told the permit would be ready the next day. That didn't happen. The application was filled out on Jan.21 /2013 but was not paid for and completed till Jan.31,2013.

I also have a ten year parts and labor warranty and a three year maintenance contract and was told by Dan, owner of Kelly's Heating I would never get that or anything else. I am checking to see if my gas line was installed without a plumber license.

Everyone else on the job was paid, Electric, Logan's Heating and Air, Insulation. I am a 48 year Business man and pay all bills I owe. I don't have complaints against me as Kelly's does. I have an appointment with my lawyer again Tuesday.

BARGA Heating, A/C & Refrig., Inc.
Barga came to your house on a couple of occasions to make sure that our old Geo unit made it to the summer. Barga also offered if our unit died during the middle of the summer he would move this up on the schedule if needed. Scott Barga was so accommodating from a timing standpoint I couldn't ask for more.
When it was time for installation Barga's crew dropped off the equipment the day before. They started on time and finish the boring process in less time than expected. The crew was polite and willing to stop to explain details to me at any point. I believe they genuinely liked working for Scott Barga's company.
In the end, the job was on time, the site was cleaned up and there was no hidden expenses or excuses from Barga heating and air. Barga has even stopped out at the house twice to make sure things were running well during the heating season.
We are currently enjoying our quiet and efficient geothermal unit during this heating season. I expect nothing less in the upcoming summer months.
