Moving reviews in Broadview Heights

    Mount Up Moving Services,LLC
Movers arrived on time at 9am, began to work but they were going very slow (took 1 hour to get my dresser down the stairs). My wife was there as I had to work and she was going between the new and old house transporting fridge/freezer items when she got a call from the head mover that he had bad news and she would have to call his boss. She immediately left to go back to the old house, called the boss and was told he was on his way to the site. When she pulled up to the house THEY WERE LEAVING WITH THE MOVING TRUCK AND HAD UNLOADED ALL OUR ITEMS ONTO THE PORCH. The movers told their boss it was a SEVEN BEDROOM house and my wife had misrepresented this when she booked. Suffice to say, its not a seven bedroom house. This was at about 1:15pm. We was unable to get a straight answer for about an hour about what was going on as she frantically called any moving company she could find to see if/when they could come and at a minimum secure our belongings - as she could not even lift them to bring inside since she is pregnant. Eventually they were able to get a new crew out from Mount-Up including the two owners (~3pm). They did a pretty good job, they got as much done in 45 minutes as the previous crew had done in 3.5 hours. The move was completed at 11pm after they spent about an hour trying to figure out how to put together my daughters crib since the mover who disassembled it had walked off the job. At the end, they said they would generously take off the 1.5 hours during which they were not actually present - they wanted to charge from 9am-11pm - but I had to explain there was no way I was paying prior to 3pm. Somehow they thought I was going to pay for the time they spent unloading our items onto the porch or the time my pregnant wife spent crying as they drove away? I would not use them again and it was a horrible experience after being assured numerous times earlier in the day that they would take care of us/my wife. They scuffed/scraped dressers, walls, stairs, etc. but ultimately the owners stepped up and did what needed to be done to mostly complete the move that day. They decided to randomly leave several items behind, including a dresser and some bins in our master bedroom so we have had to deal with that ourselves. I don't fault the owners (other than the pricing issue) but when you have other options, why would you use someone who could do this to you?

    Dussault Moving & Storage
I have nothing but good things to say. They are very polite and always on time. They are very respectful and careful with my furniture. I have a lot of antiques and they get them from point A to point B. Several instances they've gone above and beyond for me. I've used them several times before, which is the greatest testimonial.

Move It Now - Akron Canton & Medina
I am very pleased with the work performed by Trey and Anthony.  They were polite and professional.  They worked hard and fast yet were careful with the items being moved.   The overall move went very well and was completed in less time than anticipated.  I highly recommend Move It Now.

    Berea Moving & Storage Co
I would highly recommend Berea Moving and Storage. Frank, our contact in their office was very helpful, and communicated with us to confirm our date of service through emails and phone calls. They were prompt, professional and courteous,
Berea Moving and Storage deserves a 5 Star Recommendation.

    Your Spartan Movers
They did a great job moving our furniture, and were very nice, but one of the workers accidentally kicked over a can of paint and it spilled in from the hallway and got on the carpet.  At first I wasn't upset because I knew it was an accident, and they said they would send someone out the next day to fix the problem, however, they never sent anyone, and I have since been told by the owner, that they will not reimburse me, or help me out.  He also yelled at me telling me that he should have charged me more.

    Moving Ahead Services LLC
The work was performed at 3 locations: our home in Broadview Heights, our apartment in Broadview Heights and our new home in Frisco, TX. Overall we were pleased with the service. The movers were respectful of our things and very accommodating. Here are some issues and how we resolved them:
1-We had more items than they had anticipated and required more then one truck. When I called their initial reaction was that their quote only provided for one truck. After some discussion they agreed to send a second truck to move the rest into storage. When they moved the goods to TX, they used one 26 foot truck and a trailer. We had reached a very equatable agreement on the potential cost increase.
2-Several items were damaged or broken in the move. That is pretty hard to avoid, no matter how careful they might be. Again, we reached a very equatable agreement on the costs.
We would use this company again, but obviously we now live in TX so we won't likely have occasion to use them.

    Move for Less LLC
They were timely, professional, and overall did an excellent job. The only negative comment was that they accidentally took a garage door remote opener with them and it took several calls and weeks to have it returned. Overall I would give the company an A- and would definitely consider using them again in the future.

    Berman Moving & Storage Inc
Professional. Polite. Courteous. And good. Berman sent out four guys who did a tremendous job with a LOT of stuff to be moved. They didn't complain or grumble....just got it done. And, to boot, they made sure my pregnant wife (who is inclined to jump in and lift things in spite of being pregnant) did not lift a finger. I'd hire these guys again and again.

    American Eagle Moving & Storage
Another great example of why Angie's List is so necessary in today's environment.  I'm sure these guys are good--we contacted them because of their reviews.  We called and left a message for them July 24 and had the call returned that day.  At  that time, we scheduled an appointment for an estimate for moving services at our home on July 26.  As we're in the process of moving, we had to  rearrange our schedules so someone could be home for the appointment.  The appointed time came, and went, with no sign of the company.  No call.  Nothing.  Still haven't heard from them, and we're not holding our breath. We're all busy, but no matter how good a service provider might be when it performs, an inability to show up for an initial appointment without the courtesy of a call says it all.  We're moving on.

    E and C Movers
I called on Monday and they were out on Tuesday. They were actually early for the appointment. I liked that they were early because I had mentioned that I had another appointment. Their service was fine. They didn't end up bumping into any doorway or anything. It was a pretty efficient and a timely service. I thought that the price was good. Their professionalism was fine.
