Home Exteriors Roofing, Siding and Windows
We hired Gary and his team to reside our house, side our new addition, install new gutters and stone work. Gary was very helpful and met with us several times to discuss the work to be completed. We received several different quotes and Gary was willing to work with us on pricing. Mike installed the stone on our house and was very professional. He worked on weekends and in the cold and rain to complete the job so the siding crew could begin their work. Tony and his crew installed the siding. They also worked in the rain, snow and cold to keep the project moving and complete in a timely manner. Tony worked on weekends and was very professional. The cleanup crew did a great job. Gary gave us his cell phone number and responded to all of our questions in a timely manner. He made this project run smoothly and we are very happy with the finished result.

Clink Builders & Contracting Co Inc
After speaking with Bill Clink during the estimate phase, I knew right away that I would be hiring his company for the work. He went above and beyond in explaining what needed to be done, and WHY it needed to be done a certain way. He provided literature explaining the correct method in which the house needed to finished in order to provide maximum water protection. Throughout the entire process, Bill and his crew were more than willing to answer my questions and make sure that I understood exactly why they did things a certain way. I highly recommend Clink Builders and will be referring their services to all of my clients in the future.

Terrible! Ed Barcik provided an inflated estimate for work that was required on a house I purchased. Fully exploiting the purchase contract timeline, his employees did half of the work on the estimate and he demanded the full monetary amount of the estimate. When the seller of the house asked for a bill for work completed he never responded. The contractor never set foot on the worksite and put a lien on the house without notice or speaking to anyone. The work that was performed is terrible and needs to be completely redone. He has shone a complete lack of professionalism by refusing to answer phone calls from me, my agent, the agent's broker, or the seller that contracted with him. He has been blacklisted by my real estate agency. As you will see in the photos, the mortar joints of the repair area were doubled in size to skimp on material. A white mortar was used when the rest of the mortar on the house is grey. Because the joints are over an inch wide and the mortar looks to be improperly mixed, there are cracks throughout the entire area which will allow water to get in behind the stone. The estimate included additional stone to be removed and replaced, but that work was never done and would have be half the cost of the full estimate. Before the lien, the contractor had received 50% payment. Rather than handle this issue like a man, he chose ignore any reasonable request.

    •          I called R G MASONRY to get an estimate  Ron came out two days latter and showed me why my chimney needed rebuilt and not just tuck pointed. There was not any sales pressure just left the estimate and said to call him if we decided to have him do the work. After getting a second estimate which was lower I decided to go with R G MAONRY. The reason I went with Ron was he did not just rebuild what was visible but down bellow the roof line which requires the chimney to have its flashing removed and replaced. The cheaper estimate  only rebuilt the chimney from flashing up. Ron did an excellent job matching the new chimney brick with my brick home, he is respect full of your landscape all old bricks and mortar are  put in buckets and lowered down, other than having a new chimney you would never know he was there.

    Matts Home Improvements
He did what seemed to be an OK job at the time. I soon discovered (my next actual bath) that there was dried caulk on the tub. I also discovered that he didn't do either side of the shower doors. And now, months later, what he did do is separating...

    Drytech Waterproofing
With all the necessary work they had to perform, they did it in the highest professional style. Work was completed in a timely manner. I would hire Dry Tech again. I feel I got my money's worth. Hiring them from Angie's List was the right call.

    Chimney Cricket Inc
The initial work was performed by Don Bennight and a helper.  He completed the partial tear down and rebuild of the fireplace chimney on 11/28/2011.  Due to issues with the weather, Don could not come back until 12/2/2011 to do the complete tear down and rebuild of the other chimney along with the installation of the aluminum chimney liner.

Due to the fact our water heater and furnace are on opposite sides of the chimney in the basement Don had to run a long connection from the water heater to connect with the larger furnace vent.  Not knowing much about HVAC connections and their proper installation I thought the job was complete.  In hindsight I should have realized that securing the piping with aluminum tape and sealing the old water heater vent hole with the same tape was not acceptable.  Along with the fact that because Don connected everything to the existing vent hole part of the piping ran in a downward angle.

The next morning 12/3/2011 I went downstairs to find all of the water heater vent piping laying on the floor.  I don?t know how long it was disconnected but this was a serious CO (carbon monoxide) poisoning risk.  We called Ida at Chimney Cricket immediately and she had Don out within 3 hours to re-do the venting connections and seal up the old vent hole with cement.  While he did use fasteners to connect the pipes as well as securing the connection to the floor beams in the basement ceiling the downward angle remained.  My father-in-law saw the job and was appalled at the safety issue cause by the downward angle in the venting and told us this needed correction immediately as he feared for our safety.

My husband contacted Chimney Cricket asking to speak to the owner Jon Cerrito he was told that Mr. Cerrito lives in Florida so he spoke to Dean Angle the general manager to express our dissatisfaction with the work and concerns about CO poisoning.  Dean said he would come out right away to inspect the work and asked for the chance to make it right.  Dean came to the house on 12/9/2011 and as soon as he saw the venting connections he shook his head and confirmed the work was not acceptable nor was it up to code.  Lucky for us the gases from the water heater were venting properly and there was no CO risk, but the work needed to be re-done.  He inspected the masonry work and made the comment that Don is a good mason but obviously needs training on chimney liner installation.

Dean came back on 12/12/2011 with 2 helpers to re-do the work.  In order to have all the piping run in an upward angle he had to create a new higher hole in the chimney to connect everything to.  He used screws and tape to secure all the pipes as well as connecting them with supports to the floor beams and clothes chute.  Dean apologized several times for the problems and thanked us for letting him make it right.  He explained that because they use contractors it is difficult to find good workers and while Don is a great mason he is obviously not property trained in the installation of chimney liners, which he will have to address.

We are satisfied that the work is now safe and complete (confirmed by an inspection by our HVAC contractor).  If you are considering this company for work be aware that it is a franchise and the actual owner lives in Florida.  I think Dean Angle, the general manager is doing the best he can with the workers available to him.  I would probably use them again for chimney masonry but not for anything too complicated.  Overall this was a fair experience.

Cornerstone Masonry Construction & Restoration Inc
They did really good work. They were easy to work and kept to their schedules. The workers knew what they were doing and they got the job done. They didn't hit me with any extras and did what they said they would do.

    My Chimney Guys
I dont remember how much I spent for the job but it was reasonable. He was very professional. I had him put on a damper which goes on the top of the chimney rather than the bottom. I had a problem with it previously. Swallows were nesting inside my chimney. I wanted to prevent them from entering the chimney. I was very happy with him. He was really nice. I will call him back if I ever need to have any work done.

    My Chimney Guys
Mr. Wagner gave us an estimate in a timely fashion last Fall. We did not have the work done until April 2006, but the estimate was still good. He started the work as scheduled, and finished as scheduled, calling us before he arrived. The work was done to our complete satisfaction, and at a cost that was $300 less than another company's estimate. The work area was left clean and orderly.
