    Had a Whirlpool 15 mo dishwasher break, and I did not buy the extended warranty. Scott bought the part that was needed ahead of time, showed up on time, completed the work in a professional and considerate manner. He will be honest with you and tell you if you should repair or re-buy and not charge you for things you don't need. You should you this guy.

    Sears Appliance Repair
    Repair technician arrived within the promised four time frame. Technician seemed unaware of the fix for what has been a common problem. Charge for the repair part, a refurbished circuit board, was more than the retail price a new original equipment board. Found out after the fact that my credit card was charged twice for the same service. Sears refused to take ownership of the duplicate billing problem.

    When Dan called to say he was arriving soon, I told him the refrigerator was working at the moment. Dan said he would need to wait to check the fridge when it wasn't working. He spent several minutes on the phone with me discussing the problem, what the issues might be, possible costs, probable outcomes. He was great! Friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely call and reschedule when my lemon of a fridge fails again.

    Fred's was recommended by the manufacturer to repair dishwasher. All was fine initially. Tech arrived in quoted time frame, was professional, and repair he did seemed logical. Unfortunately, the problem was not solved. Dishwasher leaked again that very afternoon. Called Fred's to schedule follow up. Customer service was terrible for re-scheduling. I was told I could have the first morning appointment. Automated call to confirm appointment.....between 12 and 3 pm. Called to re-request first morning appointment, which was promised. Scheduler spent most of the call explaining to me (the customer who still has a broken appliance, and wasn't given the promised appointment) how making the change would inconvenience her. She ended by yelling at me. Terrible experience. Cannot recommend because of both repair issues and customer service problems.

    I would definitely call Ace Washer again.  
    Scott provided helpful tips on use of the appliance, didn't cause us extra unnecessary expense, and the problem is solved and work guaranteed for 30 days.
    Other places I called were going to charge $79.00 just to drive here.

    They came out four times. They sent one person out that diagnosed the problem. They sent somebody back to fix the problem but she didn't know what she was actually fixing. They fixed the wrong thing, they put two parts in that were wrong and diagnosed it wrongly  three times. They were rather expensive. They were like $75 just to come out. You get charged by the hour as well. I wouldn't recommend them. The person they sent out wasn't experienced. They kept sending somebody else out and so, there was no consistence in their work.

    AMAZING.  I called Mark on Sunday 8/16 expecting to leave a message on the office answering machine and hoping for a call back on Monday.  Much to my surprise Mark answered the phone said he just got back from vacation and was getting the messages from his phone for the upcoming work week.  He said he could stop by our house between 1 and 3 on Monday 8/17.  He arrived right at 3 and got to work.  Of course the dryer heated up when he turned it on, but he said that the gas burner coil could be going bad because that is the only part that will work intermittently.  Mark said he will have to get the part and estimated the cost to repair would be about $200 and he could be back to our house the same day after his last appointment at 7 PM.

    Mark was back at our house at 6:20 PM with the part and it took about 15 minutes to replace and test the dryer.  The invoice with tax was $216.  I was truly impressed with his service and dedication.  He said he is a one man show and takes great pride in his work and it shows.  I mentioned to him no wonder he has excellent reports on Angie's list he then said oh I didn't realize you got the reference from Angie's list you get a discount so the actual cost of the repair was $194.40.

    I also asked him about a noise that our refrigerator was making when the compressor would shut off.  Once I described it to him he said it was likely the bracket and springs that the compressor rests in rattling around and that it doesn't appear to be a serious issue.  That made me feel much better too.

    I can't say enough good things about Mark, it is a refreshing change to have a provider do exactly what they say they are going to do.  I highly recommend Mark for all appliance repairs.

    They provided a 2 hour window for appointment times, and they arrived during their scheduled times for both, the estimate and the repair, appointments. They were quick and efficient, and I'm very satisfied with the work they did - the dishwasher door works perfectly now. I will definitely use them in the future.

    We described the issues we were having with our refrigerator to Mark over the phone. He felt that based on the information we gave him, it was likely that the refrigerator was not worth repairing. He came out the next day anyway so he could look at it and confirm his diagnosis. He recommended that rather than putting the money into repairing the refrigerator, we would better off to purchase a new one. He gave us valuable advice on which brands were better than others based on his experience in repairing them. He charged us nothing and even refused when we offered to pay him for his time and travel. We will gladly call Mark again if we need appliances serviced in the future.
