    We searched for more than a year at different cabinet providers including the box stores and ready to assemble cabinets. We just could not find nice cabinets to fit our new kitchen. We almost went with one of the box stores but after haggling over the price and dropping many of the amenities due to price we decided to research custom cabinets. We found High Point Cabinets through Angies list and was impressed with theirs rating . After speaking with Dave we felt comfortable with him. He spent several weeks with us just helping us design a beautiful kitchen that was functional and family friendly. He gave us many tips to make our kitchen perfect. His price was good for custom cabinets. It was a little above the box store price but we got way better cabinets. Daves timeline for kitchen cabinets was precise. His installers were very professional and thorough. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. I was impressed that it only took 3 days to install my kitchen. Overall the project took about 5 months including the design process. It was very easy to contact Dave. He always promptly returned our calls and answered any questions we had. Overall the project went very smooth. There was one major hiccup in the process that I feel needs to be mentioned. Our kitchen island "in my humble opinion" is the most beautiful island I've ever seen. However with it being an 11 foot island, it was difficult to design it to fit my slab of granite so I didn't have a seam. As a result we had the change the measurements of the island and make many adjustments. This is standard I'm sure and would have been okay if it weren't for the next issue. Once my kitchen was fully installed the granite people came out to measure and informed me that I needed supports under my island or else my granite would crack. Well I already had chunky posts in both sides and was upset that the granite installers waited until measuring to tell me this. If they would have pointed this out sooner it could have been easy to change the design of the island at nobody's expense. Dave was very helpful. He made us three columns to fit under our island and had the paint matched. We picked them up and my husband installed them with no problem. My only tip for you as a consumer is to be sure your granite installer speaks with Dave through the process with the drawings to prevent this type of mishap. It would have saved us a lot of worry. Overall I would definitely hire Dave again. He's an honest man and went above and beyond to give me my dream kitchen.

    Hanson's is the worst company you can deal with. If I have known when we have them do our work here that they use contractors they don’t have to do work first of all. They’re so bad that their insurance company can’t even sue them. We can’t recover our $500 for most of the damage that they did. They ruin my house, it caused me 4 to 5 thousand dollars to get it straighten out again. They were putting up a roof and they said they were protected like they said they would protect it. They left for the evening, a horrible storm came that night and it just ruin everything. In the process of doing the roofing service they ruined two thirds of the spouting I have by denting and bending it up with their ladders. They put the tile and everything on the roofing lawn wrong and really made a mess with the job. They had to come out and redo a certain amount of that. They ruin my house inside by not protecting the roof after they left. They were bad.

    Bill Ward provided an quote to paint the entire two-story house (ceilings, remove wallpaper, patching, all woodwork from wood to white, cabinets, etc). He appeared to be very thorough in his work. I would have hired him but the person who gave us the other estimate has painted for many people we know directly and was highly recommended. Both quotes were comparable. When it comes to painting you get what you pay for.

    I was shocked they came out to do the service in the middle of the winter, but they completed the project with no problems at all like it was perfect weather.
    The crew was very professional and courteous. They cleaned up inside the basement extremely well.
    They forgot to leave a pile of dirt for after the snow melted, however that works out better since we would not have been able to do anything with it until now (especially with this winter). I am sure they will bring in back when they come for the spring checkup I am about to setup.
    1. They installed the water barrier on the outside perimeter wall and we only had to have 2-3' of space for them to do this job. They dug the trench by hand, not with machines that cause you to have remove bushes, shrubs, flowers etc...!
    2. They installed drainage in the basement along the perimeter inside by removing the concrete, installing the drainage below the foundation, and covered the drainage with stone and new concrete. This will eliminate the backup flooding issues coming under our home when the rivers overflow into the city drainage system.
    3. Removed our old sump pump (and left it since it was still usable) and then installed a new battery backup sump pump with a very high quality recharging inverter and two batteries for the backup.
    4. Installed a quality air control system that controls the air and humidity in our home. This system is very quiet, low power usage and is completely vented to the outside.
    We thought we were going to have some wall webbing done but the supervisor on the crew said our walls did not require any, which was a relief to find out. They sealed any cracks in the wall blocks, between the blocks, and along the tops and bottoms of the wall wherever needed.

    1. On delivery dented the Refigerator's door- had to be replaced (no issues got it done in a timely fashion) 2. Had some problems with the Microwave and called to have it looked at in home and repaired as required. Took 4 visits and 90 days to get the problem solved and still had to call them back since the Mocrowave was making "funny" noises it had not been making prior to them working on it. (still does and the metal is loose on the touch pad - however, it does work) 3. Refrigerator's in door ice dispenser not working. Over 2 months and several phone calls and no less than 4 service tech visits and still not working. My basic issue is that while Tracy's does sell excellent equipment and have a friendly staff on the showroom their service after the fact is so poor I'd never buy from them again- it's just too much of a hassle. I can understand parts being on back order and not every problem is obvious or easy so more than one visit might be required. What is very disturbing is the lack of follow up on their part just to keep me informed of what the status of my work order is.......in addition to the problems not being solved.
